Disasters were called disasters because they did not generate possibilities.

Disasters could not maintain stability over the long term.

They possessed an uncontrollable instinct to expand.

Take the Abyss, for example. Without the gods restraining it, the Demons would expand madly, and the Abyss's ecosystem would instantly be dragged back into chaos. In the end, the Abyss would occupy the entire world.

The whole world would then collapse and warp because of it, before being completely destroyed amid chaos.

The reason the Abyss still appeared to possess some "rationality" now was entirely because of the binary opposition.

The normal world, supported by the gods, suppressed the Abyss, restraining its steps toward outward plunder and expansion.
