Katakuri served as Big Mom's first mate and the leader of her Sweet Commanders. Unlike Big Mom's more impulsive decisions, he carefully assessed the risks of pursuing Natsuya on Fish-Man Island, warning that the conflict could draw Whitebeard and Jinbe into the situation. He proposed waiting until Natsuya departed before confronting him personally. 111

When Natsuya arrived in Totto Land and overwhelmed Cracker, Katakuri intervened by blocking an Ultra-High Pressure Water Blade with Mochi Thrust. He apologized on Cracker's behalf and prevented the incident from escalating, demonstrating his authority among the Charlotte forces. 126
