Background
Dong'er is the remnant soul of a future Bibi Dong who was defeated and killed at Jialing Pass. Her death, alongside the destruction of Qian Renxue's Angel God position and her own Rakshasa divinity, left her consumed by resentment and unwillingness; she later reappeared as Fang Mo's Martial Soul. 1 46
The shattered Rakshasa godhead and divine position became entangled with the Rakshasa Scythe and Bibi Dong's former Martial Souls, creating Dong'er and Fang Mo's damaged divine-artifact Scythe. 6 Initially cold and hostile toward Fang Mo, she eventually accepts cooperation after he promises to help change her fate and prevent the tragedy at Jialing Pass from repeating. 3 18
Dong'er admits that she accessed Fang Mo's memories, learning of his transmigration and his knowledge of future events. She uses this knowledge cautiously, withholding details that she considers his secret. 17 43 Her greatest personal regret is delaying her acceptance of Qian Renxue until death; Fang Mo arranges a reunion between mother and daughter within his Sea of Consciousness. 17 26
After meeting her younger self, Pope Bibi Dong, Dong'er confronts her over Yu Xiaogang's theories and reveals that he used Bibi Dong's twin-Martial-Soul research to cultivate the person who ultimately killed her. She urges the Pope to consider Fang Mo's new cultivation system instead. 41 43
The Rakshasa God later contacts Dong'er as a prospective successor. She challenges the unfairness of her previous inheritance, negotiates for improved trial rewards, and ultimately agrees to a new divine trial under the condition that Qian Renxue must not be harmed. 45 46 50 Unable to speak freely while under divine surveillance, she eventually reveals the Rakshasa God's involvement to Fang Mo inside the Angel Temple, where the Angel Holy Light blocks outside interference. 81 82
Appearance
Dong'er has the same appearance as Bibi Dong, though she normally manifests as a translucent, dark-glowing soul body. As her condition improves, her form becomes increasingly tangible. 1 65 90
- Slender figure with pronounced curves and a graceful silhouette. 1 65
- Long hair reaching her waist or flowing over her shoulders. 1 36
- Dark-red eyes. 14 36
- Initially obscured by misty darkness; her features become clear after absorbing the Azure Soul-Condensing Orchid. 1 36
- Wears a veil when leaving Fang Mo's side to prevent others from recognizing her resemblance to Pope Bibi Dong. 90
Personality
Dong'er initially presents herself as cold, proud, calculating, and deeply distrustful. Her former life taught her to expect fear, exploitation, and betrayal from others, leading her to carry her pain alone behind an aloof exterior. 41 67
Her resentment is rooted in the unequal burden of the Rakshasa Nine Trials and in her death at Jialing Pass. Rather than meekly accept the same fate again, she confronts the Rakshasa God directly and demands to negotiate her inheritance on fairer terms. 46
Despite her harshness, Dong'er is intensely protective of Qian Renxue and remains burdened by guilt for failing her as a mother in her previous life. Her reunion with Xue'er gradually reveals a gentler, openly maternal side. 17 50 65
Fang Mo's persistence gradually earns her trust. Though embarrassed by her role in advancing Fang Mo and Pope Bibi Dong's relationship, she begins to rely on him as someone with whom she can share the burdens she once faced alone. 58 67 68
Abilities & Skills
Remnant Soul Manifestation
Dong'er resides within Fang Mo's Sea of Consciousness and can manifest as his humanoid first Martial Soul.
- Can communicate directly with Fang Mo through their shared consciousness. 3 14
- Can leave the Sea of Consciousness temporarily to meet others, as when she speaks privately with Pope Bibi Dong. 37
- Her manifested body gained physical sensation and increasingly solid form after receiving the Azure Soul-Condensing Orchid. 27 32
- Her weak remnant state initially leaves her unable to fight even an ordinary Soul Master independently. 67
Spiritual Perception and Memory Reading
Dong'er possesses enhanced soul perception inherited from her divine origin.
- Detects concealed soul beasts and assists Fang Mo in locating targets in dense terrain. 33 34
- Enhances Fang Mo's spiritual perception after her soul body is stabilized. 33
- Secretly accessed Fang Mo's memories, learning about his transmigration and future knowledge. 17
- Reads subtle emotional and physical reactions, particularly those of her younger self, with exceptional accuracy. 45
Rakshasa Divine Power and Scythe Resonance
Dong'er can draw upon the Rakshasa Divine Power within Fang Mo's damaged Rakshasa Scythe.
- During spirit-ring absorption, she can channel devoured energy into a ring to increase its age, imitating a divine blessing. 14
- Assists Fang Mo in suppressing violent soul-ring backlash and soul shock. 34 112
- The enhancement method severely strains Fang Mo's meridians because the original ring energy and devoured energy impact his body simultaneously. 14
- Her connection to the Scythe's devouring attribute enables Fang Mo to replenish her soul through slain creatures. 35
Shadow Erosion
Dong'er's first manifested soul skill releases dark-purple mist that erodes defenses and internal Soul Power.
- The mist spreads across the ground and can pressure opponents through sustained contact. 22
- Conventional defensive measures are ineffective at fully blocking the erosion. 24
- Fang Mo used only part of its power to reduce Yan's Soul Power by roughly twenty percent during a sparring match. 24
Shadow Soul Devour
A soul-devouring skill created through Dong'er's soul-state fusion with the Shadow-Devouring Python's attribute.
- Gradually erodes the soul of a living target. 35
- Allows Fang Mo to devour the souls of slain creatures and use the recovered energy to nourish Dong'er. 35 36
- Was used alongside Shadow Erosion to weaken the five-thousand-year Radiant Sky Deer. 35
Mental Whisper
Dong'er's third soul skill subtly interferes with a target's mind.
- Can induce brief hallucinations or cognitive bias, disrupting judgment and combat rhythm. 104
- Does not directly inflict physical damage. 104
- Can amplify existing thoughts or emotions, as when Dong'er heightened Tang Yuehua's curiosity toward Fang Mo. 104
- May brainwash weaker targets if its soul-ring age and power are sufficient. 104
- Its incomplete divinity makes the mental influence difficult for even a Title Douluo to detect without deliberate scrutiny. 104
Shadow Net
Dong'er's fourth manifested soul skill creates a large corrosive control net.
- Covers a radius of up to twenty meters. 112
- Entangles targets while continuously eroding their Soul Power and spiritual power. 112
- Its duration depends on Fang Mo's remaining Soul Power. 112
- Golden Crocodile Douluo assesses it as sufficient to trap an ordinary Soul King. 112
