Background / History
Die is Queen Medusa's younger twin sister. Unlike the former rule that allowed only one Medusa in the Snake-People Tribe, Die was kept alive and closely protected by her sister, who fought opposition within the tribe to preserve her. This upbringing left Die sheltered, indulged, and strongly attached to Queen Medusa. 62 140
During Xiao Fan and Zi Yan's infiltration of the Snake-People Palace, Die asks Xiao Fan for a personal name. He names her Die, describing her as kind, innocent, and yearning for freedom; she quickly embraces the name as a defining part of her identity. 60 61
Die's wish to live beyond the confines imposed by her sister becomes a major source of conflict between them. She eventually declares that she wants to pursue her own life, even as Queen Medusa warns her against becoming attached to Xiao Fan. 140
Appearance
Die shares Queen Medusa's face and voice so closely that even Xiao Fan initially mistakes one sister for the other. Before her transformation, she has a serpent lower body and a highly expressive snake tail. 65
- Identical in appearance and voice to Queen Medusa, distinguished chiefly by mannerisms. 65
- Possesses a snake tail that can move independently of her wishes, especially around Xiao Fan. 61 65
- Her seven-colored snake soul manifests as a defensive spirit and combat construct. 287 290
- During her unstable transformation, small seven-colored scales appear at her temples and her legs can revert into an illusory snake tail. 274
- After taking human form, she is seen wearing a pale-purple cloak while leading the Snake-People Tribe's vulnerable migrants. 276
Personality
Die is initially innocent, impulsive, and eager for freedom. She is easily flustered by Xiao Fan, but she also has a stubborn streak and refuses to quietly accept the life Queen Medusa has arranged for her. 60 65 140
Her affection for Xiao Fan develops into open jealousy and possessiveness. She treats the Snake Curse Seal as proof of a lifelong claim, resents perceived rivals, and pursues him even when Queen Medusa attempts to restrain her. 71 141 152
Despite her immaturity, Die matures through the Snake-People Tribe's migration. She learns to care for wounded clansmen and young snakes, makes decisions under pressure, and gradually gains the determination to defend her people rather than merely rely on her sister. 275 276 289

Die can manifest a seven-colored serpent spirit for protection and combat.

- Can activate the seal to punish Xiao Fan. 150
- Teaches the seal's formation method to Qing Lin. 150 151

Die's Tier 7 High-Grade Seven-Colored Transformation Pill allows her to retain control over her identity rather than becoming a copy of Medusa. 254
- Can assume a human body for cultivation. 254
- Can reveal or conceal her serpent form according to her will. 254
- Retains her Snake-People royal origin rather than abandoning it for a human form. 254 274
Tribal Leadership
Die becomes responsible for the Snake-People Tribe's most vulnerable migrants during their departure from Tagor.
- Leads the old, weak, young, wounded, and displaced clansmen through the first migration route. 275

- Organizes food, water, shelter, and the protection of young snakes during the journey toward the Beast Region. 289
Equipment / Weapons / Items

Story Role / Major Arcs
Naming and Palace Infiltration
Die accompanies Xiao Fan and Zi Yan into the Snake-People Palace after they use Snake-Transformation Pills to disguise themselves. She uses her knowledge of a secret passage to reach Queen Medusa's chambers, and Xiao Fan gives her the name “Die.” 60
Conflict with Queen Medusa
Die lies to Queen Medusa to protect Xiao Fan, but her closeness to him makes her sister suspicious and jealous. Queen Medusa confines her and orders her to cultivate three Earth-tier Dou Techniques, yet Die eventually escapes to seek Xiao Fan and secure his help for her sister's evolution. 61 62 65
Queen Medusa's Evolution
After Queen Medusa evolves into Little Cai, Die struggles with her sister's weakened condition and Little Cai's hostility. She entrusts Little Cai to Xiao Fan, then marks him with the Snake Curse Seal as her chosen lifelong partner. 70 71
Pursuit of Independence
Die's attachment to Xiao Fan leads her to openly clash with Queen Medusa. She rejects her sister's attempt to decide her future, declares that she wants her own life, and becomes increasingly assertive toward those she considers rivals. 140 141 152
Human Transformation
Xiao Fan fulfills his promise to refine Die a transformation pill, refusing to let Medusa's bloodline dominate the result. The completed pill preserves Die's own serpent identity and gives her the choice to use human or serpent form. 254
Her transformation is later destabilized during the aftermath of the Three-Nation Allied Forces' attack. Xiao Fan treats her using a shed old scale as the bridge between her snake soul and human body, while Die openly admits that she trusts him. 274
Migration and Defense of the Snake-People Tribe
Die leads the first group of Snake-People Tribe migrants, including the old, weak, wounded, and young. Her successful settlement at Cold Sand Fortress and later conduct in the Beast Region earn Queen Medusa's confidence. 275 276 289
When Ice River Valley attacks, Die guards the mountain hollow sheltering Qing Lin and the young snakes. Though injured and outmatched, she holds the defensive barrier and drives back attackers with her seven-colored serpent soul. 287
