Background

Bibi Dong became Spirit Hall’s Pope and expanded its military strength through continued recruitment. While disguised as Crown Prince Xue Qinghe, Qian Renxue presented this expansion as a growing threat to both great empires when seeking Yin Chuan’s support 89.

Bibi Dong and Yu Xiaogang were former lovers before their reunion at Spirit Hall. According to Qian Daoliu, she had once intended to betray Spirit Hall for Yu Xiaogang and later killed Qian Xunji, Qian Renxue’s father, for his sake 106 125 156.

Personality

Bibi Dong combines ambitions of continental rule with a strong need to control Qian Renxue. Her daughter’s successful seizure of the Heaven Dou throne angers her because it happens without her guidance. She subsequently supports an invasion partly to prevent Qian Renxue from receiving all the credit 135 136.

Her attachment to Yu Xiaogang repeatedly overrides institutional priorities. Despite recognizing Spirit Hall’s financial needs, she grants him 2.5 million Gold Soul Coins and promises him sweeping authority as Judgment Elder. She then treats the obedience secured by her own power as evidence of his exceptional ability 126 135.

Her feelings toward Qian Renxue are contradictory. She reacts furiously to reports of her daughter sharing a bed with Yin Chuan, while insisting that she is concerned only about the undercover mission. After acknowledging Yin Chuan’s strength, she privately envies her daughter for attracting a better man than those in her own life 100 125.

Bibi Dong’s hatred is also a combat vulnerability. Tang San’s Revenge-Seeking spear immobilizes her by drawing on the hatred she cannot release—including her resentment toward Qian Xunji, the world, and Yin Chuan 164.

Investigating Yin Chuan

After learning that Qian Renxue had slept foot-to-foot with Yin Chuan, Bibi Dong sends Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo to demand an explanation. Her accompanying letter dismisses Yin Chuan’s appearance as a reason for distrust and presents Yu Xiaogang as a superior man, provoking a furious reply from Qian Renxue 100 107 108.

The two Douluo also investigate Yin Chuan under her orders. When they return, Bibi Dong reprimands Yue Guan for attempting to recruit him as a disciple, but relents after learning about his connection to the singular velvet sky chrysanthemum. His victories over Titled Douluos persuade her that he would be an excellent match for Qian Renxue 108 125.

Yu Xiaogang’s Rise and Spirit Hall’s Division

Yu Xiaogang arrives at Spirit Hall carrying Yin Chuan’s token. Bibi Dong welcomes him privately, discovers that he has lost all Soul Power, and agrees to provide 2.5 million Gold Soul Coins. She also promises him the position of Judgment Elder, with authority to inspect, supervise, and execute Spirit Hall personnel 125 126.

She suppresses objections to his elevation and orders Gui Mei to discover who crippled him. Her favoritism alienates Spirit Hall’s senior members, including Yue Guan and Gui Mei, who leave to serve Qian Renxue 127 134 135 136.

The Heaven Dou Invasion Plan

Yu Xiaogang proposes invading the Heaven Dou Empire after its change of ruler. Bibi Dong first explains that the new emperor is their own undercover agent, but accepts his revised argument that conquest would secure the credit for her rather than Qian Renxue 136.

Qian Renxue, Yin Chuan, and the Spirit Hall elders gathered in Heaven Dou devise a feigned-surrender scheme. Unaware of their intentions, Bibi Dong interprets her daughter’s peace request as weakness. She demands surrender and threatens to expose Qian Renxue’s identity as Spirit Hall’s young master 142 143 144.

Secret Chamber Battle and Pursuit

When Yin Chuan arrives as Heaven Dou’s envoy, Bibi Dong is initially impressed by him. In private, however, she demands that he call her “Mom” and recognize Yu Xiaogang as his father-in-law. She then attempts to slap Tang San, prompting Yin Chuan to strike her wrist and activate his Martial Soul Fusion Skill with his nephew 149 150.

Undying Body protects her from their attacks, but Yin Chuan exploits its energy transformation to impale Yu Xiaogang through her body. He then smashes her head apart and escapes during her regeneration. Bibi Dong prioritizes Yu Xiaogang’s treatment before joining the pursuit 151.

Yin Chuan escapes after a system-summoned Hell White Tiger blocks her path. Her accompanying Titled Douluo deliberately fail to assist, later claiming that they lost track of her. She accepts their explanation and, finding Yu Xiaogang still unconscious, orders the entire army to mobilize against Heaven Dou 152 153 156.

Border Battle with Tang San

Believing Yin Chuan to be in mortal danger, Qian Renxue severs ties with Bibi Dong and appoints Tang San commander of the expedition against Spirit Hall. Yin Chuan has actually escaped and is returning independently 156 157 162.

At the border, Bibi Dong sends Wu Batian against Tang San, only for her challenger to be killed immediately. Tang San then challenges the Pope herself and unleashes Revenge-Seeking, piercing her abdomen before collapsing from the technique’s cost 163.

The physical wound is not decisive, but the spear’s emotional power immobilizes Bibi Dong. Bone Douluo rescues Tang San while she remains trapped in hatred. She kills the approaching Salas with her Rakshasa Scythe, uses blood sacrifice to recover, and orders an all-out attack to kill Tang San 164.
