"Snap!"
A sound of breaking bone erupted from Light Dragon's right hand.
In the end, he couldn't withstand Tang Wulin's strike, and even the bones in his hand had snapped.
"Damn it! You little brat!"
Light Dragon roared, his white soul ring lighting up beneath his feet as he violently swung his left hand toward Tang Wulin.
Suddenly, however, a white ball of light appeared before Light Dragon.
In an instant, the orb burst, the blinding white light causing even more agony to Light Dragon's already injured eyes.
Gu Yue didn't stop there; several fireballs and a number of ice spikes had already condensed around her, which she then launched at Light Dragon.
At the same time, with a flash of silver light, she utilized space elements and appeared directly behind Light Dragon.
A silver dagger appeared in her hand—it was clearly a Soul Guidance device.
"Shing!"
The piercing power of this Soul Guidance device seemed formidable, as it actually drove into Light Dragon's bronze-colored skin.
"Argh!"
Light Dragon cried out in pain again, lifting his foot to stomp violently at Gu Yue.
The fireballs and ice spikes Gu Yue had previously condensed also slammed into Light Dragon; while they didn't cause any substantial damage, they still left him in dull, aching pain.
"You... I will make you pay for this!" Light Dragon clutched his eye with one hand while fishing something out of his pocket with the other.
"Oh no, he's calling for backup!"
Xie Xie recognized the object in Light Dragon's hand as a portable Soul Guidance communicator. Once pressed, the linked device on the other end would ring incessantly and provide their exact coordinates.
Gu Yue's silver light flashed again, and she appeared instantly before Light Dragon, attempting to snatch the device away.
But Light Dragon's movements were simply too fast. Even with Gu Yue's Teleport, she didn't make it in time, and the device was triggered.
The Soul Guidance device dropped to the ground, emitting a shrill, piercing sound; it was clearly transmitting their precise location to the people on the other end.
"Destroy it!" Gu Yue's eyes narrowed as she hurled a fireball at the device.
The result, however, was absurd—the device remained completely unscathed.
"Heh!" Light Dragon sat on the ground and sneered. "You think you can destroy my Soul Guidance device? Just wait until my brother arrives, then you'll be dead!"
"You talk too much. Do you believe I'll kill you right now?" Gu Yue produced the high-piercing Soul Guidance dagger once more and pressed it against Light Dragon's throat.
"Gu Yue, calm down!" Tang Wulin hurriedly called out to her.
"I am calm, but just in case, we need to keep him under our control first."
Gu Yue wasn't being impulsive; on the contrary, she was very level-headed. The help summoned by a Great Soul Master would certainly be no lower than a Soul Venerable. Regardless, they had to keep Light Dragon in their grasp.
"Xie Xie, call Teacher Wu!" Gu Yue shouted at him.
"Right!"
Xie Xie immediately activated the Soul Guidance communicator on his wrist and dialed Wu Zhangkong's number.
But just then, a bullet whistled from out of nowhere, accurately shattering Xie Xie's communicator.
The three of them immediately scanned their surroundings, searching for the source of the attack.
"Hahaha, you're finished! My brother is here! You're all done for!" Light Dragon laughed loudly.
"Shut your mouth!" Gu Yue kicked him in the face, impatient.
"Something's wrong. The ground is shaking!"
Gu Yue, who could manipulate earth elements, sensed the anomaly with great sensitivity.
"Look up!"
Gu Yue suddenly pointed toward the sky.
"Is that... a mecha?" Xie Xie spotted a ten-meter-tall black mecha appearing in the sky. "It's a Black-Grade Mecha!"
"What's a Black-Grade Mecha?" Tang Wulin didn't know much about mechas.
But Xie Xie came from a family of mecha pilots and had grown up immersed in mecha knowledge; he knew all too well what a Black-Grade Mecha signified.
"A Black-Grade Mecha is second only to a Red-Grade Mecha, and the soul master piloting one must be at least a Soul Emperor!"
"A Soul Emperor!" Hearing those words, Tang Wulin couldn't help but look shocked. He might not have understood the rest, but he was all too familiar with the term "Soul Emperor."
There couldn't be many soul masters of that caliber in the entire East Sea City!
At that very moment, the three of them saw the source of the ground tremors they had felt earlier.
It was hundreds of White-Grade and Yellow-Grade mechas, with a few Purple-Grade mechas mixed in.
Once this mecha legion appeared, the entire perimeter of the snack street was instantly surrounded. The tourists and shop owners who hadn't yet left were rounded up by the soul masters stepping out of the mechas.
"Who the hell is bold enough to touch my brother?" A middle-aged man's voice boomed from the Black-Grade Mecha.
"Brother! I'm here!" Hearing that voice, Light Dragon immediately shouted toward the Black-Grade Mecha.
"Shut up!" Gu Yue kicked Guang Long in the face, knocking him unconscious instantly.
"How dare you!"
A middle-aged man over two meters tall with dark skin appeared beside Gu Yue in a flash, raising his broad palm to grab her.
A silver light flickered over Gu Yue's body; fortunately, she reacted in time and used Teleport to reach Tang Wulin and Xie Xie's side.
"So you're the ones bullying my younger brother?" The middle-aged man turned to look at the trio.
"It's Guang Biao, captain of the East Sea City Mecha Brigade!" Xie Xie recognized the man before them.
"So what if it is?" Gu Yue retorted defiantly.
"What a feisty little girl. I hope you can keep that attitude when you face my methods in a moment."
Tang Wulin stepped forward to shield Gu Yue behind him, his tone grave. "Senior, your brother started the trouble. We were merely forced to defend ourselves."
Guang Biao snorted coldly. "I don't care who started it. All I know is that my brother is covered in injuries and one of his arms is broken. How do you propose we settle this?"
"How do you want to settle it?" Tang Wulin asked in a low voice.
"It's simple. The three of you will kneel and apologize to my brother. Then, the one who broke his arm will step forward and cripple both of his own hands. Only then might I consider letting this matter rest!"
"I was the one who broke your brother's arm. I will bear all the consequences and accept whatever punishment you deem fit. How about you let my two companions leave?" Tang Wulin said.
"Tang Wulin! What do you think you're doing? This young master doesn't need you to take the fall for me!" Xie Xie walked to Tang Wulin's left, the Light Dragon Dagger in his hand already glinting with a cold light.
Gu Yue also stepped to his right, gripped Tang Wulin's hand, and nodded at him.
Guang Biao stood where he was and clapped, a strange smile on his face. "What a touching little team! Don't say I, the dignified captain of the East Sea City Mecha Brigade, am bullying a few kids. I won't use my soul skills. If you can last five minutes against me, tonight's incident will be forgotten."
"You had better keep your word, Senior!" Tang Wulin gritted his teeth.
"Of course!"
Guang Biao took a step forward, and rings of soul light emerged from beneath his feet.
Yellow, yellow, purple, purple, purple, purple.
A total of six soul rings appeared at his feet; he was indeed a Soul Emperor.
At the same time, the phantom of a draconic soul beast manifested behind him. It was his martial soul, the Iron Armored Dragon, a sub-dragon martial soul of considerable quality.
