Two weeks later.
In the corridor of Linchuan City Hospital, Long Yuan leaned against the window, holding Soul Guidance Communicator in his hand, talking to Zhen Hua.
" Tang Wulin's injuries have healed." Long Yuan looked at the gradually brightening sky outside the window. "I plan to set off for Ming Capital today."
Zhen Hua's voice came from the other end of the communicator. "This child is lucky. What are your plans?"
"Send him straight to the Sun Moon Imperial Soul Master Academy," Long Yuan said. "Anyway, I don't have much time to mentor him."
Zhen Hua was silent for a moment. "Are you sure? It takes a hundred days to recover from a broken bone. You want him to rest more?"
"No way, this kid's tough skin and heal quickly. Do you want to be bothered by him every day?" Long Yuan said calmly. "Besides, he actually benefited from this misfortune and broke through to level forty. I plan to take him to prepare a new Soul Spirit later."
Zhen Hua: "..."
Is this the world of geniuses?
Although he is Titled Douluo, he has achieved his status entirely through sheer volume of training; it's practically unimaginable how fast such a genius could progress.
"Alright, never mind." Zhen Hua coughed lightly. "Then come find me at the Blacksmith Association once you've settled him in. I've already made preparations at the Ascension Platform; we can begin anytime."
"Hmm." Long Yuan ended the call and turned to walk into the ward.
Tang Wulin was already dressed and standing by the bed, stretching his arms. The golden scales on his right arm had completely faded, restoring his normal skin color.
The wound on his right leg had completely healed, leaving no scar. He tried to throw a punch, and a slight popping sound echoed in the air.
"Master!" He quickly stopped when he saw Long Yuan enter.
Long Yuan looked him up and down.
The boy who lay here covered in blood a month ago is completely different from the spirited Tang Wulin he is now.
"The recovery is going well." Long Yuan nodded.
Tang Wulin scratched his head. " The Gold of Life is too powerful. I thought I'd be lying here for a long time."
"Nonsense, otherwise why would I go through all that trouble to go to the Star Dou Forest? If I wasn't worried you wouldn't adapt, I would have already completely healed you with the Gold of Life. Why would I need to wait so long to slowly guide you?" Long Yuan took out a set of clean clothes from his Storage Soul Tool and threw them to him. "Change into these, get ready to go."
"Where are you going?"
" Ming Capital," Long Yuan looked at him, "You haven't been there yet, have you?"
Tang Wulin was stunned for a moment, then his eyes lit up.
"Master, will you take me there? Or are you just going to buy me a ticket and then kick me out?"
"How could that be? When have I ever lied to you?"
Long Yuan said irritably, he was truly at his wit's end and didn't dare let Tang Wulin ride the Soul Guidance Train alone.
Tang Wulin thought about it carefully, and it seemed... he often lied?
But he didn't say anything, quickly took the clothes, and changed into them in a flash. He moved so fast that Long Yuan could even hear the sound of the clothes cutting through the air.
"Alright, alright, don't rush." Long Yuan turned and walked out. "You can go see Mo Lan first; she's being discharged from the hospital today."
In the next ward, Mo Lan was packing her things. In one month, the wound on her back had healed, and the fracture in her right arm had mostly recovered. Although she still couldn't exert any force, she could manage her daily life without any problems.
It's worth mentioning that in the end, Mo Lan still recognized Tang Wulin as her adopted younger brother, and Tang Wulin also had a high regard for Mo Lan, so he didn't refuse.
At this moment, seeing Long Yuan and Tang Wulin walk in, Mo Lan put down the package in her hand and smiled at Tang Wulin.
" Wulin, how are you feeling? Are you feeling better?"
"Much better." Tang Wulin smiled too. "Sister, how about you?"
"Almost there." Mo Lan stretched her right arm; although it was still a little stiff, she could move it freely. "But I still can't lift heavy things."
Tang Wulin glanced at the package she had placed on the bed, hesitated for a moment, and asked, "Do you want me to help you carry it downstairs?"
Mo Lan couldn't help but laugh, "You're an injured person, and you still want to help me move things?"
"I'm not injured anymore." Tang Wulin carefully moved his right arm, the golden scales flashing and disappearing in an instant. "I'm fully healed."
Mo Lan paused for a moment, then looked at Long Yuan.
Long Yuan nodded.
"Alright then." Mo Lan handed him the package. "Thank you for your help."
The three of them walked out of the ward, through the corridor, down the elevator, and arrived at the hospital entrance.
A black Soul Guidance Car was already waiting there, with a driver in uniform standing beside it.
Mo Lan stopped and turned to look at Tang Wulin.
"I still want to thank you for what happened that day." Her expression turned serious. "If it weren't for you, Wulin, I might have died in the tunnel long ago."
Tang Wulin scratched his head. "Sister, that's what I should do. Master said that those who have the ability should protect those who don't."
Mo Lan looked at Long Yuan, but Long Yuan remained expressionless, as if he hadn't heard her.
Mo Lan withdrew her gaze. "You know how to contact me. I probably won't be a train conductor anymore, so if you need any help in the future, just let me know."
"When you get to Ming Capital, study hard," Mo Lan said. " The Federation will not forget the many people you saved."
Tang Wulin nodded.
Mo Lan got into the car, rolled down the window, and waved to the two of them.
The car slowly drove away from the hospital, merged into the traffic, and disappeared at the end of the street.
Tang Wulin stared in the direction the car had disappeared, remaining silent for a moment.
"Can't bear to part with her? Or have you become so attached to her as an older sister that you can't leave?" Long Yuan's teasing voice came from the side.
Tang Wulin shook his head shyly. "No, Master, I have nothing to be reluctant about. It's just... I feel like I haven't done enough."
"Let's go." Long Yuan turned and walked out of the city.
Tang Wulin quickly followed.
The silver-white Mecha streaked across the sky, flying towards Ming Capital.
In the cockpit, Long Yuan sat in the front, his hands gripping the control stick. Tang Wulin sat in the back, looking through the observation window at the city and fields rushing past below.
An hour later, the outline of Ming Capital came into view.
Skyscrapers stand tall, soul-guided vehicles weave through the streets, and patrolling Mecha occasionally streak across the sky.
This is the most prosperous city in the Federation, its modern steel forest contrasting sharply with the ancient charm of Heaven Dou City.
Long Yuan piloted his Mecha to land on an open area outside the city, put the Mecha away, and hailed a Soul-Gathering Taxi with Tang Wulin.
"To the Sun Moon Imperial Soul Master Academy," Long Yuan said to the driver.
"Okay." The driver glanced at the two of them through the rearview mirror. "Are you taking your child to school? Wait a minute, didn't we miss the time...?"
Because Tang Wulin was recovering from his injuries, the time for school registration had already passed.
Long Yuan did not answer.
The driver wisely shut up and stepped on the gas.
The car drove through the wide streets of Ming Capital, past skyscrapers, through the business district, and finally stopped in front of a huge complex of buildings.
Sun Moon Imperial Soul Master Academy
The academy's main gate is twenty meters high and made of alloy. On both sides are tall stone pillars, which are carved with intricate Soul Guidance Array patterns.
Above the main gate, ten large characters are inlaid in metal: Sun Moon Imperial Soul Master Academy.
Under the sunlight, the large characters gleamed with a golden luster, exuding an extraordinary grandeur.
Two students in school uniforms stood at the entrance, watching the passersby warily.
Long Yuan led Tang Wulin up.
"Halt." One of the students reached out to stop him. "This is the Sun Moon Imperial Soul Master Academy. Unauthorized personnel are not allowed to enter."
Long Yuan glanced at him.
The student felt a little uncomfortable under his gaze, but still stubbornly refused to move aside.
"We're here to register," Long Yuan said calmly.
The student paused for a moment, then said, "Register? The enrollment season is over. If you want to enroll, you'll have to wait until next year."
"Special circumstances," Long Yuan interrupted him, "Where is your dean?"
Seeing his composure, another student felt a little uneasy and quickly said, "The dean is in the Mingde Hall, but you can't go in without an appointment—"
Before he could finish speaking, a terrifying aura emanated from Long Yuan.
The Dragon Might, as if it were a tangible force, pressed down on the two students, causing their faces to turn pale and their legs to go weak.
"Lead the way."
