Tang Wulin attends Eastsea Academy, where he becomes deeply impressed by Yang Fan after watching him defeat Wu Zhangkong without using a soul skill. Yang Fan's composed combat style becomes the level of strength Tang Wulin hopes to achieve. 110

While teaching Class Five, Yang Fan notices Tang Wulin's abnormal appetite and growing physical strength. He reveals that the Golden Dragon King is sealed inside Tang Wulin, suppressing his true martial soul and placing him at risk of eventually losing his sanity to the bloodline's savagery. 112
