Background / History

Gu Yuena is the Silver Dragon King, the Dragon God's other half and a natural deity with true-dragon bloodline. After suffering a strike from the Asura God, she remained in the Life Lake of the Star Dou Forest to recover. Her initial estrangement from Di Tian stemmed from the pressure placed on her to restore the soul beast race after her awakening. 15

Following Yang Fan's disappearance, her memories awakened. She discovered irregularities involving the Plane Master and chose to maintain her concealment: by day she acted as Na'er within Shrek Academy, while by night she used the identity Gu Yue to direct matters in the Spirit Pagoda. 101

As Na'er, she entered the Spirit Pagoda alongside Yang Fan, awakened the Silver Dragon Spear, received a gold badge, and became Leng Yaozhu's personal disciple. She refused the arrangement unless Yang Fan was accepted as well, resulting in his appointment as an honorary disciple. 20

She is calculating and highly adaptive. Rather than reveal herself after regaining her memories, she continued operating under separate identities to investigate the Plane Master's designs safely. 101

Despite her pride and possessiveness, Gu Yuena is deeply protective of Yang Fan. Under the identity Yue, Gu Yuena accompanies Yang Fan through Dragon Valley while concealing her true nature. She lures an energy earth dragon toward herself to draw his attention, then continues to test his concern for her during their journey. 97

Yang Fan eventually deduces that Yue is the Silver Dragon King. Rather than expose her, he takes her hand as they enter the Dragon Raja graveyard. 99

When the Dragon God's dragon soul releases its power, Gu Yuena reveals her true dragon form and shields Yang Fan. She absorbs the silver crystal left by the Dragon God's legacy and helps Yang Fan regain control over his unstable bloodline. 100

Burying the Dragon Raja

After confessing their love, Gu Yuena and Yang Fan spend 365 days laying more than nine hundred sets of dragon remains to rest. The work cleanses Gu Yuena's bloodline and earns both of them the Dragon Raja's acknowledgment. 101 102

Return to the Soul Beast Race

Upon leaving Dragon Valley, Gu Yuena formally introduces Yang Fan to the fierce beasts as the person she has chosen and declares him her equal. She then returns to Star Dou Forest to cultivate and sort through the insights gained from the Dragon God's Heart. 105

Spirit Pagoda Return
