Background

Blood Shadow was an Evil Soul Master serving the Evil God Temple. Snake Undying named him as the Temple figure who would avenge his death, while a black shadow silently observed Zhu Shen from the trees following the battle 3.

He later operated from an abandoned warehouse in Nuoding City alongside Dean Su Nuo and other Temple members. There, he oversaw preparations to sacrifice forty-seven abducted children during a full-moon ritual in the Soul Hunting Forest. The ritual was intended to summon an Evil God Temple projection and herald a “new order” on the continent 16.

Blood Shadow regarded Zhu Shen's evolved Dragon God martial soul and pure dragon bloodline as valuable secrets to claim after the ritual. He initially dismissed Zhu Shen as only a four-ring Soul Ancestor, but personally pursued him after discovering that Zhu Shen had overheard the Temple's plans 16.

Appearance

Blood Shadow usually concealed his identity beneath a dark red hooded cloak. When he activated his martial soul avatar, he transformed into a massive dark-red Blood Wolf.

Personality

Blood Shadow is ruthless, composed, and fanatically devoted to the Evil God Temple's cause. He treats the mass sacrifice of children as a necessary step toward the Temple's promised “new order” and commands his subordinates with cold authority 16.

He is also arrogant in battle, initially treating Zhu Shen as incapable of interfering with the ritual. Even after being defeated by Tang Hao, he remains defiant, invoking the Temple's future wrath rather than showing remorse 16 19.

Defeat and Capture

After Tang Hao shatters the Evil God projection, Blood Shadow absorbs its residual energy and temporarily reaches level 80. Zhu Shen, Tang San, and Tang Hao coordinate to destroy the ritual orb, causing Blood Shadow's power to collapse. Tang Hao defeats him; the ensuing backlash cripples his spirit and ends his ability to cultivate. He is then taken into Spirit Hall custody 19 20 22.
