Background / History

Wang Sheng is a work-study student at Notting Academy, where regular students from wealthy families routinely discriminate against poorer students. When Xiao Chenyu demands that he kowtow and serve him, Wang Sheng refuses despite being beaten and having his belongings damaged. He insists that work-study and regular students should be equal under academy rules. 11

Zhu Shen intervenes in the bullying incident and learns that Wang Sheng is level 15 with the War Tiger martial soul. After examining him, Zhu Shen discovers blockages in his meridians caused by an unsuitable cultivation method and offers to teach him proper soul-power circulation. Wang Sheng eagerly accepts the harsh training and begins calling Zhu Shen “Teacher.” 11 12

Wang Sheng recruits other work-study students for Zhu Shen's free training program. He endures endurance drills, physical conditioning, and foundational cultivation alongside Tang San and the other children. 12 13 14

Wang Sheng is a thin, small boy who wears a faded work-study student uniform. When first seen, his face is bruised and bloodied from Xiao Chenyu's bullying. 11
