This was the question she cared about most.
Li Qing's inner voice contained a massive amount of information, most of which involved earth-shattering secrets.
If those things were true, it would mean a world-upending change for her, for Martial Soul Hall, and perhaps even for the future of the entire continent.
But if there were errors, or if they were merely his delusions and conjectures, how should she treat this information?
Bo Saixi listened quietly to Qian Renxue's questions, her face showing no signs of surprise.
These questions were almost identical to the doubts she had when she first discovered she could hear Li Qing's inner voice.
"Your questions are many, and they are critical."
Bo Saixi spoke slowly, her voice sounding exceptionally clear in the quiet room, and replied, "As for when I began to hear it... it was six years ago, on the day of his martial soul awakening, that I first heard the voice within his heart."
"Six years ago? Martial soul awakening?" Qian Renxue's heart stirred. Wasn't that when Li Qing obtained the Sea God's inheritance?
"Correct."
Bo Saixi understood what Qian Renxue was thinking, so she nodded in acknowledgment. "That day, when he awakened his martial soul, he drew down the Sea God's Light and obtained the Sea God's inheritance. As for the reason, I do not know. As for why it is only us, that is also unclear; at any rate, it seems your grandfather, Qian Daoliu, does not have this sensation. As for whether there are others, I have no way of knowing."
"As for the credibility of his inner voice..."
Bo Saixi's tone deepened slightly, a complex light flashing in her blue eyes as she said softly, "This point is likely the most difficult to determine, and also the most... alarming."
She looked at Qian Renxue, her gaze sharp. "Girl, you heard quite a bit today. Regarding your plan to infiltrate the Heaven Dou Empire, regarding your potential future achievement of the Angel God, yet the failure you might encounter... have you ever mentioned these to anyone? Especially the details of your plan?"
Qian Renxue shook her head immediately, her tone certain. "Absolutely not! The Heaven Dou plan is top secret; aside from Grandfather and a very small number of core elders, no one knows the full picture. Even within Martial Soul Hall, those who know Xue Qinghe is my disguise can be counted on one hand! As for the future achievement of a godhood... that is a luxury I dare not even confirm one hundred percent to myself, so how could I speak of it to outsiders?"
"That is exactly it."
Bo Saixi sighed softly and said helplessly, "The fact that he can know these secrets, which could never have been leaked, is enough to prove that the information he possesses comes from a source that is by no means ordinary. At the very least, it is certainly not something that could be obtained through conventional channels."
"As for foreseeing the future..."
Bo Saixi's gaze became even more profound as she replied, "He has mentioned to me the past between Tang Chen, Qian Daoliu, and myself, mentioned thoughts I have never spoken to anyone, and even... mentioned some possibilities regarding Sea God Island and my own fate that even I have not yet fully perceived."
She paused, as if weighing her words. "Some things have already happened, and he stated them with perfect accuracy. Some things have yet to occur, and we have no way to verify them. But as far as the known parts go, the accuracy of the information he reveals is... terrifyingly high."
Qian Renxue's heart sank bit by bit with Bo Saixi's words, then lifted again just as slowly.
What sank was the horror of being completely seen through, as if her fate had been written in advance.
What lifted was a glimmer of hope—the chance to grasp the key and potentially change the established trajectory.
"So, does that mean, My Lady... his inner voice is, at the very least, largely worthy of attention, and perhaps even... a true prophecy?" Qian Renxue's voice carried a trace of imperceptible trembling.
"You could say that."
Bo Saixi affirmed Qian Renxue's judgment, but then her tone shifted, carrying a hint of warning. "However, girl, you must also understand. The future is not set in stone. What he speaks of may be scenes seen based on a certain trajectory or possibility. Every choice we make, every action we take, could cause the future to deviate. Just like what he said to you today—he believes you will not abandon the Heaven Dou plan, but will adjust your strategy... this itself is already adding your choices and variables onto the foundation of the prophecy."
Qian Renxue was lost in thought.
Bo Saixi was reminding her that while she must value Li Qing's prophecies, she must not be bound by them or become a puppet of fate.
She needed to make wiser choices based on the knowledge of these possibilities to create a better future.
"I understand. Thank you for your guidance, My Lady."
Qian Renxue thanked her solemnly, and then a new doubt emerged in her eyes. She asked, "My Lady, there is one more thing... does Li Qing know that we can hear his inner voice?"
This was one of the most critical questions.
If Li Qing knew, then were those inner thoughts his unguarded, true feelings, or... some kind of conscious performance or probing?
Upon hearing this, a strange expression appeared on Bo Saixi's beautiful face, a mix of helplessness, amusement, and a faint trace of doting.
"He..."
Bo Saixi shook her head gently, her tone carrying a degree of certainty. "He does not know. At least for now, it seems he is completely unaware of it."
Thinking of Li Qing's unbridled, whimsical, and at times infuriating or hilarious inner rants, Bo Saixi could be almost certain that it was definitely not a performance.
No actor would be so dedicated as to crazily rant in their heart, thinking about how his betrothed had a poor brain or fantasizing about spanking her as a form of punishment.
"If he knew, I fear he would be much more restrained, and would not..." Bo Saixi stopped abruptly here, an unnatural look flashing across her face for no reason. She picked up her teacup and took another sip to cover it up.
Qian Renxue was incredibly sharp and immediately associated this with Li Qing's blush-inducing inner activities regarding her, causing her own beautiful face to heat up slightly.
She hurriedly lowered her head to drink tea as well, masking her embarrassment.
The room fell into a brief silence once more, with only the curling scent of tea.
A moment later, Qian Renxue looked up again, a firm light flickering in her purple eyes. She looked at Bo Saixi and asked the final question, the one she most wanted to ask at this moment:
"My Lady, since we can both hear it and understand the importance of those prophecies... should we... do something? For instance, should we inform Grandfather, or... the Sea God and the Angel God?"
This question went straight to the core.
Should they continue to maintain this secret known only to the two of them and wait to see how things develop?
Or should they report this astonishing discovery, which was enough to influence the layout of the gods, to higher-level existences?
Bo Saixi's hand, holding the teacup, paused slightly.
She raised her eyes to look at Qian Renxue, and in those deep blue eyes, it was as if a vast sea of stars were rotating.
She did not answer immediately.
The night grew deeper.
Moonlight filtered through the window lattice, casting quiet shadows between the two of them.
