Background / History
Qian Daoliu is a ninety-ninth-level Peerless Douluo and the Great High Priest of the Angel God. As Spirit Hall's senior authority, he is exceptionally sensitive to divine inheritances; he detects the oceanic divine-power fluctuation from Sea God Island despite being thousands of miles away and correctly concludes that a Sea God successor has emerged. 5
Sea God Island holds complicated personal memories for him. He first met Bo Saixi there, and he and his lifelong friend and rival Tang Chen shared years of rivalry and mutual admiration on the island. He retains unspoken feelings for Bo Saixi, though his later actions are driven chiefly by political calculation. 5 14
He travels uninvited to Sea God Island to investigate Li Qing, provoking immediate suspicion from the Sacred Pillar Douluos because of Spirit Hall's past invasion of the island. He remains calm through Sea Dragon Douluo's hostility and waits rather than escalating the confrontation. 14 15
After Bo Saixi allows him to observe Li Qing's martial soul in secret, Qian Daoliu is stunned by the Mysterious Origin Water-Controlling Flag. Spirit Hall's extensive archives contain no record of it; he judges its aura to be comparable to—or potentially older and more profound than—known god-level martial souls. 17 18
Appearance
Qian Daoliu retains the appearance of a remarkably handsome middle-aged man despite the passage of decades. 14
- Tall, upright build. 14
- Long golden hair, described as flowing sunlight. 5 14
- Brilliant golden eyes, deep and penetrating. 5 23
- Usually wears simple gray robes. 5 14
- Possesses an innate sacred aura associated with the Angel God. 14
Personality
Qian Daoliu is composed under pressure. When confronted by Sea Dragon Douluo and several Sacred Pillar Douluos on hostile ground, he neither retaliates nor takes their hostility personally. 14 15
He is highly pragmatic and far-sighted. Rather than treating the Sea God successor as a threat, he recognizes Li Qing as an opportunity to reshape the continent's balance of power through cooperation with Sea God Island. 18 20
Although he employs political pressure and emotional appeals to persuade Qian Renxue, he also shows genuine concern for her hardships and future. He raised her after childhood and worries about the burdens imposed by her infiltration mission and Angel Clan obligations. 23 25 26
Abilities & Skills
Peerless Douluo Cultivation
Qian Daoliu is a level 99 Peerless Douluo, placing him on the same level as Bo Saixi and above ordinary Title Douluos. 5 14
- His presence alone deters the seven Sacred Pillar Douluos from risking battle. 15
- He suppresses the auras of both Bibi Dong and Golden Crocodile Douluo during the Pope Palace confrontation. 77
- He can travel as a streak of golden light at extraordinary speed. 17 20
Angel God's High Priest
As the Angel God's mortal representative, Qian Daoliu understands divine inheritances and the conditions for a successor to wield a deity's personal artifact. 5 53
- Senses the awakening of the Sea God's inheritance from Spirit City. 5
- Identifies Li Qing's possession of the Sea God Trident as evidence of exceptional divine favor. 53 81

Political Strategy
Qian Daoliu seeks long-term advantage for Spirit Hall, the Angel Clan, and Qian Renxue's future position.
