A few words

o(╥╥)o Obviously, I was held up by work tonight. I didn't get home until almost 9 pm to start writing, and it really took all my strength to get this out just in time. Because for this chapter, I had to Douluo II and Douluo III, and I also had to make sure I didn't quote that content, which was a bit of a torture.

Sometimes I think, should I learn from those high-performing Douluo fanfics and take the "power fantasy" route, not worrying too much about logic, speeding up the protagonist's growth, bringing in the original characters sooner, letting the protagonist interact with these characters, flirting with female characters, and showing off in front of male characters? Anyway, with me, the author, backing him up, no matter how reckless the protagonist is, I can arrange everything without any surprises.

However, a slight obsessive-compulsive disorder makes me not want to write like this. Some people say that if you write fanfiction, you shouldn't pursue anything else. Results and subscriptions are the most important things. If you really want to pursue something, go write original works instead of staying at the bottom of the online novel hierarchy of fanfiction.

I know he's right, but I'm not going to listen to him.

As I've mentioned several times, this Douluo fanfiction is an extension of the framework of my previous book, filling in many missing details. The previous book came about when I was watching the Douluo anime and ran out of Douluo fanfiction to read, which sparked the idea to write my own.

Back then, I wondered what it would be like if I traveled to the Douluo Continent.

I was torn at the time. On the one hand, reality told me that I was at the bottom of society and struggling to survive was my only way out, so my Martial Soul was Blue Silver Grass. On the other hand, I had already transmigrated, so why couldn't I have some fun? So, I went a bit overboard with the cheat system.

When I started writing the previous book, I thought I would design a final boss that no one else had ever written before. So, although the protagonist had the strength to sweep across the Douluo Continent early on, he still kept himself behind the scenes. Even when he was able to overthrow the Divine Realm later on, he didn't make a direct move. Instead, he waited for me to build up the protagonist's strength to the point where he could break the fourth wall before letting the final boss behind the Douluo Continent reveal himself.

For this final boss, I immediately ruled out the likes of the Asura God and the Sea God from the Divine Realm —they were too weak. While researching, I came across the Great God Circle, the God Realm Committee, and its first chairman Sea God Tang San, and its second chairman, the God King of Light Chang Gongwei ...

Because the final boss was set too early and too high up, the plot of Douluo was rushed.

During that period, I read several Hong Kong fantasy novels, but they either had bad endings or were abandoned. There were also some novels about National Martial Arts in the Republican era. The opening ideas and imaginations were refreshing, but when I was reading them with great interest, I found that the protagonist's development path did not meet my expectations. So I had the idea of writing my own novel that I wanted to read.

So I drew up an outline for a new book about Mount Mao and National Martial Arts in the Republic of China.

Just as I was about to start writing, I saw the folder of materials I created when I was writing Douluo fanfiction, and I felt a little unwilling to give up.

I've gone off on a tangent, rambling, and somewhat disjointed rambling. The main point is that maintaining a daily update pace of two chapters (4K+) for June, July, and August, while also having a full-time job, was exhausting, truly exhausting. Readers of my previous book will know that a daily update of one 2K chapter was my normal pace. But with this book, I tried my best to maintain a monthly update pace of 120,000+, but human effort has its limits, and life is full of unexpected situations that forced me to interrupt my previously smooth progress.

So, unless I stay up late tonight, I definitely won't have time to update tomorrow morning. In that case, I might as well take a day off.
