Six-Ring Soul Emperor 528 565 Recently reached this realm before the cave expedition with Ling Yi. Her six rings were two yellow, two purple, and two black.

Background / History

Ah Rou began as an ordinary Soft Bone Rabbit. Tens of thousands of years before the main events, a fortuitous opportunity awakened both her intelligence and that of the younger Xiao Wu. Although they commonly presented themselves as mother and daughter, Ah Rou had adopted Xiao Wu; their ages differed by only a few decades. She also adopted Da Ming and Er Ming 356 529.

Ah Rou’s continued effort helped her cross the hundred-thousand-year threshold before Xiao Wu. Rather than attempt the heavenly tribulations needed to advance further as a Soul Beast, she chose human transformation and the uncertain prospect of reaching Level 100. She considered her Soft Bone Rabbit bloodline poorly suited to surviving those tribulations, unlike Da Ming and Er Ming’s exceptional bloodlines 354 355 368.

After transforming, she attended a junior Soul Master Academy and spent roughly five or six years learning about human society. Once she reached Soul Elder, she considered settling quietly in a small town: junior and intermediate academies no longer suited her needs, while an advanced academy risked exposing her identity to powerful Soul Masters 334 353 354.

Appearance

  • Early human form: Approximately 1.5 meters tall, appearing eleven or twelve years old when shown at the Lake of Life 326.
  • Eyes: Bright, crystal-red 356 529.
  • Features: Delicate, willow-shaped eyebrows and pale skin 334 397.
  • Accessories: Rabbit-ear ornaments that bob when she moves her head 396.
  • Martial Soul manifestation: A pink-and-white rabbit phantom; by her Six-Ring stage, it stood slightly over two meters tall and was surrounded by small azure whirlwinds 396 565.

Personality

Ah Rou is ambitious and diligent about cultivation. She researched human Soul Master realms before committing to transformation and sharply criticized Ling Yi when she believed he had endangered his future by choosing a slow-growing Healing System path. Her willingness to seek a quiet place to cultivate contrasts with Xiao Wu’s reluctance to study and tendency to underestimate danger 334 353 355.

Her protective instincts extend to both her adopted family and Ling Yi. She treats Xiao Wu with indulgent affection but also disciplines her, while her mistaken belief that Ling Yi was a transformed Soul Beast prompted her to intervene on his behalf. Even after learning more about his strength, she remained reluctant to leave him exposed during battle 334 338 368 467.

Ah Rou is cautious around human experts capable of detecting her origin. The arrival of Chen Jianjun and Chen Xin briefly made her want to flee despite Ling Yi’s concealment measures. With Ling Yi himself, however, she becomes trusting, affectionate, and increasingly direct about wanting a place beside him 410 528 529.

Abilities & Skills

Soft Bone Rabbit Martial Soul

Ah Rou’s Martial Soul serves as a vessel for the power of her former Soul Beast body. Like other transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beasts, she can condense her own Soul Rings rather than obtain them through hunting 347 397.

  • Retained soul strength: Even as a Three-Ring Soul Elder, her soul was comparable in strength to that of a human Titled Douluo, allowing her to perceive the vitality-infused artistic conception in Ling Yi’s shop sign 353.
  • Self-directed development: Her wishes can influence the generation of her Soul Rings and skills to an extent. Ling Yi used this property when helping her cultivate a compatible wind attribute 397.
  • Cultivation near Ling Yi: At the Lake of Life, cultivating beside him was more than twice as fast as cultivating among her academy classmates and teachers 346.
Soul Skill Ring Applications and limits
Waist Bow First Became one foundation of Twelve-Routine Springing Legs, alongside Rabbit Form and her racial gifts 391.
Charm Second Her eyes glow pink during use. Liu Erlong avoided its effect by keeping her eyes shut 390.
Teleportation Third Enables sudden attacks, repositioning, and escape. Its low ring age limits each teleport to five meters 375 390 391.
Invincible Golden Body Fourth; purple Grants three seconds of protection sufficient to withstand even a Titled Douluo’s Ninth Soul Skill. Divine-level power or a counteracting rule-based Soul Skill can bypass it 390 435 469.

Body Tempering and Self-Created Combat Techniques

Ah Rou developed a close-range combat system with Ling Yi’s assistance, emphasizing powerful kicks, mobility, and protection 390 391.

  • Basic Body Tempering Technique — Rabbit Form: Her foundational physical training, selected on Ling Yi’s advice 370.
  • Indestructible Golden Body 1.0: A combat technique developed by studying Invincible Golden Body. In sparring, she could raise a thin pale-golden membrane to block Liu Erlong’s blood flames after her Soul Skill expired 390 391.
  • Twelve-Routine Springing Legs: Combines Waist Bow, Rabbit Form, and Soft Bone Rabbit racial abilities; Ah Rou led its creation with Ling Yi assisting 391.
  • Wind God Leg: A jointly developed wind-enhanced kicking art. Its fifth form, Wind Sweeps Away the Tower, turns her assault into a blue-gold whirlwind of kicks and afterimages 435 467.

Wind and Spatial Power

Ah Rou studies wind to strengthen her movement and kicking techniques, while Teleportation provides an entry point into understanding space 391.

  • Condensed wind-attribute energy within her Soft Bone Rabbit Martial Soul under Ling Yi’s guidance 397.
  • Uses pale-cyan wind power for rapid movement and scouting 428.
  • Later travels through the air on the wind and returns to Blue Silver Valley under her own power 566.
  • Her spatial studies are documented as a developing cultivation direction, not a completed mastery 391.

Martial Soul Fusion Skill: Wind God Feilian

Wind God Feilian combines Ah Rou’s Soft Bone Rabbit with wind power converted through Ling Yi’s Blue Silver Martial Soul. Its form is a giant pink-and-white rabbit, over three meters tall and nearly eight meters long, with cyan whirlwinds beneath its feet 399 428.

  • Flight and transport: Runs through the sky at over 1,000 kilometers per hour and can carry companions 428.
  • Combat: During the Cold Stone Town battle, Ah Rou believed the fusion could confront any Fallen Soul Master present below Eight-Ring Soul Douluo 467.
  • Escape: She was confident that even the enemy Titled Douluo could not stop them if they committed to fleeing 467.
  • High consumption: During a ninety-minute journey, her Soul Power was nearly exhausted despite Ling Yi sustaining much of the cost. With support from Ling Yi and Ah Yin’s Blue Silver Domains, she recovered to eighty percent in about half an hour 428.
  • Incomplete manifestation: At its first success, Ling Yi explained that they were still too weak to manifest its new Soul Beast form fully 399.

Forest Knowledge and Scouting

Ah Rou’s tens of thousands of years in the Star Dou Great Forest make her an effective guide 428.

  • Led the group through forests, swamps, and hills while avoiding almost every Soul Beast along the route 428.
  • Knew the habitats of several lightning-attribute Soul Beasts suitable for Yang Shelly’s Sixth Soul Ring 428.
  • Warned that a roughly thirty-thousand-year ring exceeded the usual range for a Sixth Soul Ring 428.

Equipment / Items

  • Specially made high-heeled shoes — Used as striking weapons; their heels function like spearheads during her kicking exchanges with Liu Erlong 390.
  • Rabbit-ear ornaments — Worn during Martial Soul fusion training 396.
  • Ruyi Hundred Treasure Purse — Temporarily used to transport the sealed Dark Demon Evil God Tiger to the Lake of Life, then returned to Ling Yi 566.

Relationships

  • Ling Yi — Initially someone she “rescued” after mistaking him for a transformed Soul Beast; later her cultivation adviser, fusion partner, and romantic partner. He explicitly includes her among his four partners after their cave expedition 368 391 399 529.
  • Xiao Wu / Feng Wu — Adopted daughter and fellow Soft Bone Rabbit. Ah Rou raised and disciplined her; the later revelation that they were not biologically related led to discussion of Xiao Wu addressing her as an elder sister instead 338 529.
  • Da Ming — Adopted family member who calls her Aunt Rou. His inherited bloodline memories helped her study human cultivation 355 529.
  • Er Ming — Adopted family member who obeys her instructions and helped her rescue Ling Yi. He continued calling her Aunt Rou because she had not told him to change it 334 368 529.
  • Ah Yin — Fellow transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast and companion. Ah Yin explained Ling Yi’s human identity and the origins of his first four Soul Rings 368.
  • Yang Shelly — Fellow partner of Ling Yi. Ah Rou initially felt envy and longing toward their closeness, but later worked with Shelly in training, travel, and battle 356 375 428 467.
  • Liu Erlong / Yu Wushuang — Sparring partner and fellow companion. Their matches tested Ah Rou’s defensive skills, teleportation, Charm, and kicking techniques 390 529.

Story Role / Major Arcs

Meeting Ling Yi

  • Ah Rou and Er Ming intervened because she believed Ling Yi was a transformed Soul Beast exposing himself to a Soul Douluo. His unusual Soul Rings and Fifth Ring condensation reinforced her mistake 347 368.
  • After leaving the forest, she visited his trading company and accepted temporary lodging. The shop plaque concealed her Soul Beast presence well enough to escape a Soul Douluo’s notice 353 356.
  • Her questions to Ah Yin produced further misunderstandings: she first suggested Ah Yin was Ling Yi’s mother, then considered whether Ling Yi might be Ah Yin’s father 368.

Developing Her Combat System

  • Trained in Rabbit Form and sparred with Ling Yi’s companions while developing techniques suited to her Martial Soul 370 375 390 391.
  • Her first fusion attempt with Ling Yi failed because involuntary reactions disrupted their energy synchronization. A later attempt successfully produced Wind God Feilian 397 399.
  • Defended against three Soul Emperors at Level 47 until sword light from Lingyun City killed them as her three-second protection ended 435.

Cold Stone Town

  • Summoned Chen Xin and Dugu Bo when Ling Yi’s group received a distress signal 460.
  • Intercepted a flying Soul Emperor attempting to ambush Ling Yi 465.
  • When the blood-colored curtain nullified ordinary Soul Skills, Ling Yi sent her to reinforce Bibi Dong’s group, assuring her that Erlang would protect him 467.

Cave Expedition and Blue Silver Valley

  • Guided Ling Yi to a cave containing Crystal Blood Dragon Ginseng and persuaded him to transplant it to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. Their clash with a Purple-Patterned Demon Bear collapsed the passage 528.
  • Used the time together to make her feelings explicit; afterward, Ling Yi acknowledged her as one of his partners 528 529.
  • Later delivered the sealed Dark Demon Evil God Tiger to Xiao Wu, Da Ming, and Er Ming, then helped guard Blue Silver Valley during Ling Yi’s Human Immortal Body breakthrough 566.

Yu Xiaogang’s Final Conflict

  • Ling Yi assigned Ah Rou, Ah Yin, and Liu Erlong to capture Yu Xiaogang, return him to his clan, and publicly claim that Ling Yi had killed him 607.
  • In the opening scene, Ah Rou joins the confrontation that mortally wounds Yu Xiaogang and later comforts the grieving Ling Yi. When Ah Yin proposes sacrificing herself for his advancement, Ah Rou offers to go first instead; no completed sacrifice by Ah Rou is shown in the supplied account 1.

Alternate-World Side Stories

  • Learned that her counterpart had been killed by human Soul Masters while that world’s Da Ming and Er Ming were away pursuing the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger. The news angered her, particularly the prospect of the counterpart’s Soul Ring and Soul Bone being taken 639.
  • Met the alternate Xiao Wu, who recognized her resemblance to her mother. Ah Rou warned her about Tang Hao’s identity and the possible value of her ring and bone to Tang San, then proposed sending her to Feng Wu for training 650.
  • Later planned to travel to Fasinuo Province with Ah Yin 695.
