Suddenly, a burst of shouting came from the Interception Sect's life-token group.
Over time, the atmosphere in the disciples' group had grown rather poor—no, it would be more accurate to say heavy. Previously, when the Buddhist Sect, Ghost Sect, and Western Elucidation Sect stepped in to deal with the Black Mountain Sect, things livened up for a while, only to quickly become stifling again.
As one of the Mythical Realm's eight great sects, they had faced the Black Mountain Sect, yet it took three other sects stepping in before they could be safe. While everyone was feeling oppressed, that outcome had at least let them breathe a sigh of relief and feel a brief surge of excitement.
But once that feeling passed, what state of mind would remain?
The Interception Sect disciples' group, once always so lively, had in truth been cold for a very, very long time. Unless there was a mission assignment, almost no one spoke in it anymore.
Especially after the latest incident: after everyone had endured yet again, it was tantamount to the inner city abandoning the outer city's disciples. That was several hundred people. Once the Black Mountain Sect came under attack, the inner city people could not resist asking the outer city disciples about their situation. Yet the response they received was exceedingly cold—just a simple, "I don't know either."
Something like that would have been nearly impossible in the past.
At first, those from the inner city who asked had been somewhat furious. After all, not only did they hold higher status and strength, but in terms of seniority, they were also the outer city disciples' martial uncles.
But the instant their anger rose, it was snuffed out.
Who had replied to them? One of the more than three hundred
