Gu Yue emerged at the Lake of Life in the Star Dou Great Forest, where powerful figures gathered respectfully before her. Na'er later identifies her as having taken seventy percent of their shared power, while Gu Yue is associated with the Silver Dragon King's remaining wisdom and power 20 25.

After entering human society, Gu Yue recognized that Soul Beasts were being overwhelmed by humanity's soul-guidance technology. She formed a three-step strategy—join, learn, revive—by entering the Spirit Pagoda, studying human institutions and technology, and ultimately restoring the Soul Beast clan 34.

She discovered that the Golden Dragon King's essence had been sealed within Tang Wulin, but an attack on that target resulted in Xiong Jun being severely injured by a divine consciousness. Gu Yue therefore delayed her attempt to seize the essence and pursued a longer-term plan through the Spirit Pagoda, Shrek Academy, Dragon Valley, and her Soul Beast subordinates 34 192.

Gu Yue is proud, calculating, and intensely ambitious. She views herself as a noble dragon and refuses to submit easily, whether to human authority, Na'er, or Jiang Xiu 229 340. Her long-term decisions are guided by the revival of the Soul Beast clan and the restoration of the Dragon Clan's status.

She is patient when strategy demands it. Rather than immediately confronting stronger enemies, she infiltrates human institutions, recruits or directs powerful subordinates, and cultivates useful alliances 34 192 406. She also studies human behavior and technology, believing humanity can only be surpassed by learning from it 192.

Gu Yue holds grudges and can be ruthless. After Cai Yue'er failed her assessment out of spite, Gu Yue ordered Di Tian to monitor and eliminate her once she left Shrek Academy 220 221. Soul Beast Revival Plan

After joining the Spirit Pagoda, Gu Yue commits to infiltrating human power structures and learning their technology. She seeks control within the Spirit Pagoda while directing Di Tian and other Soul Beasts toward the recovery of Dragon Valley and the revival of their race 34 136 192.

Shrek Academy Conflict

Gu Yue enters Shrek Academy alongside Tang Wulin, Xie Xie, and Xu Xiaoyan. She earns perfect results in the first four assessments and demonstrates extraordinary elemental control in the fifth, but Cai Yue'er assigns her a zero after Gu Yue refuses to become her disciple 216 220. Gu Yue responds by ordering Di Tian to deal with Cai Yue'er outside the academy 221.

Dragon Valley Cooperation

Gu Yue enters Dragon Valley and encounters Jiang Xiu and the Mountain Dragon King.
