Background / History

Xiao Yan left an inheritance in a lower plane before ascending. Its core was the Exotic Flame Ring, which opened the Exotic Flame Space after Xiao Jinchen awakened his Emperor Flame. The space preserved Xiao Yan's battle techniques, sealed Heavenly Flames, alchemy inheritance, and other resources. 2

While residing in the Endless Fire Territory with his teacher Yao Lao, Xiao Yan sensed the activation of his inheritance and the triggering of a Half-Saint-level spiritual marker he had left to safeguard its inheritor. Rather than intervening personally against the four-star Dou Zun responsible, he considered a lesser punishment sufficient. 17

Xiao Yan later entered the Exotic Flame Space in person as Xiao Jinchen attempted to break through to Dou Zong.
