Arrival in The Boys Universe

Lu Heng transmigrated into a body carrying Viltrumite blood and an emotion-based system. Ability Points are earned through worship, gratitude, admiration, hatred, and changing the fates of key people. He initially possessed concealed physical strength of roughly eight tons and chose to build power by becoming the kind of hero his new world lacked 1.

He publicly stopped a convenience-store robbery, attracted livestream attention, and pursued Robin’s rescue after learning she was in danger nearby 2. Media coverage established his heroic identity as the Guardian, allowing him to rapidly collect Ability Points and upgrade into a Viltrumite Soldier 5.

His early hero work was paired with calculated image management. He sought public rescues, manipulated emotional reactions for rewards, and avoided direct confrontation with stronger figures until his bloodline had advanced sufficiently 4 5.

Vought and the Guardian

Lu Heng refused to be subordinate to Vought. When Stan Edgar summoned him, he dismissed the order, intimidated Edgar’s secretary, and arrived late on his own terms 32. He also directed Cate Dunlap and Jordan Li during the operation against Farid’s underground desert compound, monitoring their progress with X-ray vision before personally overwhelming the remaining superhuman guards 34 35.

His methods quickly separated him from conventional heroes. He killed Translucent with a single hand-blade strike in front of Butcher, Hughie, Frenchie, and Mother’s Milk, leaving the group terrified of his overwhelming strength 26. A system mission transported Lu Heng to a Viltrumite outpost, where veteran warrior Matt Grell branded the unfamiliar emblem on his battle suit heretical. Matt initially overwhelmed him, but Lu Heng’s regeneration, Omega Beams, and developing combat instincts allowed him to win after nearly six hours of combat. During the Holy War known as the Great Purge, Lu Heng entered a Viltrum consumed by civil war. He killed attacking Viltrumites, fought billions across the planet and surrounding space, and earned the titles Invincible, Evolver, and Great 114 115. His prolonged battle with Conqueror became the decisive training period of his life: he progressed from an inexperienced but durable fighter into a combatant who could surpass the veteran through repeated life-or-death exchanges 116 117.

Unlike the old Viltrumite order, Lu Heng began healing defeated opponents rather than executing them. This mercy drew followers and directly challenged Viltrum’s belief that defeat proved one deserved death 117.

Founding the New Viltrumite Empire

Lu Heng openly defied Thragg’s claim to the Viltrumite throne. After reaching his temporary peak but being unable to finish Thragg, he rejected the Old Empire and vowed to create a new one under his own authority 126.

He led roughly fifty to sixty thousand Viltrumites from Viltrum, liberated Orantis, and made it the first foundation of the New Empire. The Tiva retained autonomy and received non-interference treaties, while Viltrumite Guardians remained to defend and reproduce on the planet 127. Over the next twenty years, Lu Heng expanded this model across colonial worlds, formed an interstellar alliance, and built the City of a Thousand Stars 128 130.

After a thousand years, Lu Heng defeated and executed Thragg, ending the Old Empire’s regime. He preserved genetic material from billions of dead Viltrumites, reorganized surviving factions, and passed the imperial throne to his son Lu Ji 249.

Multiversal Expansion

Lu Heng later traveled through numerous worlds under the Great Crusade. In one conquered world, he defeated R’hllor, the Great Other, and the Drowned God, acquired the Omega Effect, and gained world-specific authority over molecular reconstruction, tectonic activity, and planet creation 153.

His later exploits included defeating Doomsday, confronting Superman over his lethal view of justice, overpowering Dormammu and Galactus, suppressing the Phoenix Force fragment within Jean, and sealing Infinity Ultron inside his own universe with Omega Runes 138 211 222 266.

He treats power as the ultimate basis of authority, but his interpretation changes over time.
