"Damn it!"

Vegeta scrambled out of the rubble in a disheveled state, surged back into the high altitude, and arrived in front of Son Goku.

"What technique was that just now?"

"It's the Afterimage Technique, a martial arts move I learned a while back."

Son Goku looked at his own hands, unable to help but sigh.

Ever since he had transformed into a Super Saiyan, he felt as though he had abandoned his identity as a martial artist, transforming instead into a true warrior.

Now, using these familiar techniques again, he felt a strange sense of nostalgia.

"Hmph, flashy nonsense."

Vegeta expressed his utter disdain. In the face of absolute power, such flashy techniques only served to disperse one's energy, ultimately leading to defeat.

"If that's the case, then let's go again."

A brilliant light erupted from both of them, and they were soon locked in combat once more.

The two turned into streaks of light, colliding repeatedly in the sky. Each impact sounded like a thunderclap, booming across the heavens.

At Korin Tower, Gamos arrived before a large white cat, holding a pile of dried fish.

"Hi! Korin."

Korin turned his head, twitched his nose, and his eyes immediately filled with stars.

"My favorite delicious dried fish."

As Korin, he naturally kept a close watch on the movements across Earth, so he was well aware of Gamos.

He was a Saiyan who had appeared out of nowhere, full of strange ideas. He had swapped the bodies of Earth's warriors for Saiyan ones, forcibly raising the planet's combat power by a significant margin.

Not only that, but Gamos himself was a very peculiar fellow. Despite being a Saiyan, he acted like a mad scientist, obsessively researching all sorts of knowledge.

Whether it was Bulma's technology or the various forms of magic used by Piccolo, the Guardian, and Mr. Popo, Gamos turned nothing away—the only thing he rarely did was train.

"Mmm, so delicious."

Korin popped a dried fish into his mouth and squinted his eyes in bliss.

"Hahaha, good, right? I think so too."

Gamos chuckled, found a spot to sit down, and watched the large white cat eat the dried fish.

After eating several in a row, Korin finally set the remaining fish aside with great reluctance.

"What brings you here? As the biggest oddity among Saiyans, shouldn't you be staying in your laboratory?"

Gamos scratched his head in embarrassment. Was he really that famous?

He clearly did train; he just focused on meditating to cultivate his mental energy.

For over a year, Gamos had been studying, but he certainly hadn't neglected his training.

Ever since he learned the Multi-Form Technique, Gamos had kept himself split into four: one studied magic, one studied technology, one researched the circulation and compression of energy within his body, and the last one meditated.

"Hahaha, I actually do have an important favor to ask this time. Tell me, how many Senzu Beans do you have left?"

Korin waved his paw and said airily.

"Don't you gluttons go getting any ideas about my Senzu Beans. You lot took them all at once last time, and I only just harvested five yesterday."

Walking over to the cupboard, Korin used his staff to bring down the jar containing the Senzu Beans.

"Here are the last five. Eat them sparingly."

Gamos couldn't help but twitch his mouth. So, in your mind, Senzu Beans are just meant for eating?

Well, they were meant to be eaten, but not in that sense—they weren't for filling one's stomach!

"Ahem!"

Gamos gave a light cough and spoke up.

"I didn't come here to ask for beans; I want to learn how to grow them from you."

"I just used Shenron to make a wish. I want to possess a planet perfectly suited for growing Senzu Beans, so I wanted to ask for your help."

"First, to get some Senzu Bean seedlings, and second, to ask for advice on how to cultivate them."

Hearing the visitor's intent, Korin stroked his non-existent beard and realized with a start.

"Oh, so you want to grow Senzu Beans on a large scale! That's a bit difficult, because Senzu Beans don't absorb carbon dioxide like ordinary plants; they require life energy."

"Life energy is the foundation of all things. Even here, in a pocket dimension that can generate life energy, I can only grow a few dozen plants, and the yield is extremely low."

"Even if you wish for a planet capable of growing Senzu Beans, at most, it would just be a planet filled with life energy."

"Life energy cannot remain in the air for very long; it is quickly absorbed by other living things, and what isn't absorbed dissipates rapidly."

Korin took his little cane and tapped it gently against a corner of the wall, and a portal of light suddenly appeared.

"Follow me!"

Gamos hurried to keep up, following the other into the portal.

Upon entering, the surroundings were stark white, with only a few dozen bean sprouts sparsely planted in the center.

"A Senzu Bean takes 100 years of cultivation to become a sprout, and it won't begin to bear beans until another 100 years have passed."

"This space can slow the dissipation rate of life energy, but it requires replenishment from time to time."

As he spoke, Korin pressed his palms together, quickly drawing life energy from all directions. It coalesced into a sphere of energy, which he then tossed into the air, where it scattered into tiny specks of light that rained down upon the leaves of the bean sprouts.

Gamos could clearly feel that Korin's technique had actually drawn a tiny bit of life energy from every single tree in the forests across Earth, finally condensing it into that small ball of light.

"Wait, are you saying this wish I made is only temporary? Does that mean I got scammed by Shenron?"

Gamos pointed at his own nose in disbelief; he was the one who usually fleeced Shenron, so the idea of being swindled in return was unthinkable.

Korin nodded and spoke again.

"Theoretically, that is the case, but we would need to see that planet you mentioned to be sure."

Gamos nodded, then looked down at the simple, ancient ring worn on the index finger of his left hand.

This was the key to connecting to that planet, and the essential tool for traveling there.

Gamos silently whispered "teleport," and in an instant, both man and cat vanished.

When they reappeared, the scenery around them had completely changed.

They stood in the heart of a primeval forest, surrounded by towering trees. The air was thick with rich life energy, and a single breath left one feeling refreshed and invigorated.

"What do you think of this environment?"

Even Korin was slightly shocked; this was the environment he had dreamed of. If he grew Senzu Beans here, there would be no need for manual management at all—only periodic harvesting would be required.

"It's absolutely perfect. The life energy here is incredibly dense, which is ideal for the growth of the sprouts. But the key question is, will the life energy here dissipate?"

Korin remained skeptical. After all, it was common knowledge that life energy had to be stored within a living body to prevent it from fading away.

However, since this planet was created by Shenron, it didn't necessarily follow the usual rules, making it difficult for Korin to judge.

Gamos shook his head; he didn't know either. But then again, with such dense life energy, it would be a waste not to start planting immediately. Even if the energy did dissipate, they could at least get a batch growing.

Still, the planet was vast; they couldn't just plant a few dozen sprouts. Where were they going to get more?

"Right, I'll just ask Shenron."

Gamos thought of the other dragon and couldn't help but chuckle.

"Why didn't you just wish for a planet full of Senzu Beans in the first place?"

Korin was curious; with Gamos's brain, it seemed unlikely he would have overlooked that.

Gamos muttered to himself, I can't exactly tell you that I read a novel once where the protagonist wished for infinite Senzu Beans, and Shenron said the limit was 10,000.

"Well, I just feel that Senzu Beans are extraordinary things. Naturally, you can't just have as many as you want like cabbages, so I thought I'd grow them myself."

"Anyway, now that we have the space, we lack the seedlings. I plan to ask Shenron for some."

Gamos immediately used his ability, the King Kai Antenna, to directly contact the Namekians, who were currently living in some unknown corner of the universe.

After a bit of searching, he finally found a familiar presence.

"Grand Elder, can you hear me? It's Gamos."

The group of Namekians who were busy planting trees on a patch of land all heard the voice and stopped what they were doing.

One Namekian with deep green skin spoke up.

"It's Gamos. Is something the matter?"

"I'd like to use your Dragon Balls, if that's alright?"

"Of course, no problem."

The Grand Elder agreed immediately and gave orders to have the Dragon Balls brought over from the seven villages.

"Tell me, what wish do you intend to make this time?"

"Let's summon Shenron first!"

Gamos didn't answer right away, preferring to have them summon the dragon first, as there were some things he needed to confirm.

This time, the Grand Elder chanted the incantation himself, and Porunga soon appeared.

"State your wish. I can grant you three wishes, no matter what they are."

Gamos's voice rang out directly.

"Shenron, if life energy isn't stored within a living body, it dissipates quickly. If time passes, will the concentration of life energy in my space decrease?"

Hearing the disembodied voice, the dragon's eyes glowed red. He immediately recognized Gamos and perceived the space the man was occupying.

Understanding the situation, Porunga replied.

"It will not. Life energy only dissipates after existing for a certain amount of time. Your space was created by a dragon; when the life energy inside is about to dissipate, the space absorbs it and releases it once more."

"However, the growth of Senzu Bean sprouts consumes life energy. Over time, the energy will eventually be exhausted."

Hearing this, Gamos understood. The energy in the space wouldn't just vanish, but it would be consumed, meaning it would inevitably run dry eventually.

"If that's the case, isn't that just eating through my reserves?"

Gamos rubbed his chin, beginning to brainstorm a solution. Wishing for infinite life energy was impossible; Shenron's power might be great, but its sustainability was limited.

It was easy for him to resurrect one person, or even ten billion, but wishing for someone to have a hundred lives was pure fantasy.

Suddenly, Gamos thought of an atmospheric circulation system. If life energy could be kept in a cycle, much like oxygen, wouldn't that solve the problem?
