"Then, Shenron, can you create a plant that circulates life energy just like oxygen, constantly releasing it through photosynthesis?"
Upon hearing this, Korin immediately understood Gamos's intent and couldn't help but silently give him a thumbs-up in his heart.
As the saying goes, it is better to teach a man to fish than to give him a fish; only through renewable resources can there be sustainable development.
Hearing the wish, Shenron was left speechless. What did he think life energy was—Chinese cabbage?
That was the source of life, a very rare form of energy.
However, it was still far more reliable than something like "infinite energy," so Shenron immediately channeled his power and began to attempt it.
Before long, Shenron spoke again.
"Such a plant did indeed exist. Its name is Origin Grass. It is a biological organism similar to a weed and is very easy to grow, but it consumes a lot of energy. Based on the simulated sun in your space, the energy would not be enough to sustain it."
"Can it use any kind of energy?"
"Yes!"
Receiving confirmation, Gamos was overjoyed. If it could use any kind of energy, then that was no problem at all.
The energy in this world was not conserved to begin with. He only needed to eat and train to possess the power to destroy a planet with a flick of his wrist. Under such laws, calling it infinite energy was not an exaggeration!
Speaking of infinite energy, the Androids seemed to possess that ability—infinite stamina; they were simply the best companions.
With the energy issue resolved, Gamos asked again about how many times the solar radiation would need to be increased. Upon receiving the answer of three times, Gamos nodded in satisfaction.
"If I want some Senzu Bean seedlings, how many can you give me for one wish?"
"Ten thousand. Senzu Beans are things that shouldn't exist in the mortal realm to begin with; ten thousand is already the limit."
"What about the Origin Grass?"
"There are as many Origin Grass seeds as you want. If you want the grass directly, I can give you up to 100 million stalks for one wish!"
That sounded like a large quantity; it seemed this Origin Grass really wasn't worth much.
Just then, the Grand Elder spoke up.
"Gamos, I think it would be more cost-effective for you to get the seeds. We Namekians have a type of magic that can accelerate plant growth."
Hearing the Grand Elder's words, Gamos was overjoyed. That would be perfect.
"Alright, let's do that! Shenron, for the first wish, give me 10,000 Senzu Bean seedlings. For the second wish, give me enough Origin Grass seeds to cover 10,000 acres of land. For the third wish, give me three seeds of the Spirit Fruit Tree. Remember to teleport them in front of me."
Hearing his request, Shenron replied.
"Please make your wish in the Namekian language!"
Ugh, this Shenron was truly stubborn.
Subsequently, the Grand Elder translated Gamos's words. Shenron's eyes flashed with red light, and then he made an "OK" gesture.
"Your wishes have been granted. Farewell."
With that, Porunga vanished, dove into the Dragon Balls, and flew off in seven different directions.
"Thanks, Grand Elder."
Gamos thanked him. The Grand Elder had truly been a huge help this time. He never expected the Senzu Beans to be so high-class—they were actually things that shouldn't appear in the mortal realm.
It seemed that these Senzu Beans, like the Spirit Fruit Tree, were plants of the gods.
With the wishes granted, a massive pile of Senzu Bean seedlings and a mountain of seeds appeared before Gamos.
Korin, who had been standing to the side, widened his eyes at the sight of such a massive quantity of seedlings.
Looking at this vast expanse of Senzu Bean seedlings, what kind of shock was that? And there was the pile of seeds next to it, stacked like a small hill.
Gamos took out a Capsule, packed ten pounds of seeds, and handed them to Korin.
"These seeds are for you. From now on, you won't have to specifically tend to the Senzu Beans anymore."
Korin took them, but he had no intention of planting them.
"Just as Shenron said, this Origin Grass requires massive amounts of energy and is hard to keep alive. Besides, I've grown accustomed to the life of tending to Senzu Beans. It's quite boring usually, and I don't want to be lazy, so I won't be planting these."
"I'll store these seeds; perhaps they will be useful in the future."
Korin collected the seeds and then pointed to the large pile of seedlings and seeds nearby.
"When it comes to planting experience, no one understands how to grow Senzu Beans better than I do. Would you like me to teach you?"
"It would be my honor."
And so, one man and one cat began their great agricultural undertaking.
Gamos fired a ki blast, clearing 20 acres of land in one go, and then used the Transformation Technique he had learned from Puar to turn into an automated tractor, turning the soil over completely.
Finally, they planted the seedlings sparsely, with each pair of Senzu Bean seedlings spaced more than a meter apart.
After a round of labor, Korin was exhausted, sitting on the ground without a shred of dignity.
"I'm dead tired, absolutely dead. This is no work for a person. Planting a few dozen seedlings is a leisurely pastime, but planting 10,000 makes one a real farmhand."
Bang! Gamos emerged from the nearby lake.
"There really isn't a single animal here," I couldn't help but grumble. "Such a massive lake, and not even one fish."
After gathering all the Origin Grass seeds, Gamos began to calculate his next steps.
The Origin Grass required a massive amount of energy to grow, and it was clear he didn't have enough right now. What if he planted them all and they just died?
Therefore, Gamos decided not to plant them immediately, opting instead to return after he had dealt with the Androids.
When the time came, he would hang an Infinite Energy Furnace in the sky, set the range, and only then would the price of Senzu Beans truly be brought down.
As for the Tree of Might, Gamos planned to wait until the ambient life energy was sufficiently dense before planting it. The fruit of the Tree of Might was a wonderful thing, capable of increasing one's strength without any side effects, though it did tend to drain the planet dry.
Legend had it that these were originally fruits of the gods; planting them in the mortal realm would cause them to suck the entire planet's nutrients dry due to a lack of divine sustenance. However, if planted on the Planet of the Supreme Kai, which was filled with divine energy, that concern would be non-existent.
Gamos wanted to see if, once the life energy reached a certain density, the Tree of Might could also be cultivated within his own space.
"Let's head back!"
Hearing Korin's urging, Gamos used his authority to take the big white cat and leave his space.
Upon returning to Korin Tower, Gamos bid the cat farewell, intending to leave and hunt down the Androids.
"Wait, take this."
Korin produced an ancient-looking book and handed it over.
"Remember to return it to me when you're done."
Gamos took the book and looked it over; there was no title on the cover. Opening it, he discovered it contained a minor magic spell.
It was a small spell for manipulating life energy. Life energy was something invisible and intangible, making it incredibly difficult to control, but this magic solved that very problem.
"Then thank you!"
The book wasn't thick, only about a dozen pages or so. Gamos, possessing a photographic memory, flipped through it in less than a minute before handing it back.
"I've memorized it all!"
With that, Gamos raised a hand, and the surrounding life energy began to fluctuate before gathering toward him.
Korin's squinted eyes widened in shock. What kind of freak was this? He learned it just by looking at it?
When he had learned it, he had practiced day and night for three whole years. Truly, comparing oneself to others only led to frustration.
Dispelling the gathered energy, Gamos couldn't help but feel a bit regretful.
"Sigh, it seems my talent is still lacking; my control is so clumsy."
Seeing this humble-bragging expression, Korin grew so annoyed he picked up his staff to shoo him away.
"Go, go, go! Get out of here!"
Just like that, Gamos was unceremoniously kicked out by the cat.
He had to admit, the harvest from this trip was quite substantial, solving almost all of his problems. The only downside was that this space didn't belong to him; he merely possessed the ring that granted him control.
Furthermore, he still had the Time Ring, and he had no idea if he would still be able to connect to this space if he traveled to other worlds.
"Sigh, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. I really don't want to go looking for the Super Dragon Balls."
Just then, Gamos sensed two powerful energies colliding; it seemed a battle was underway.
"This energy... is that King Vegeta and someone else?"
In the outskirts, Son Goku, Piccolo, and the others stood atop a high hill, watching the distant battle with great interest.
In the sky, a figure radiating a golden light was throwing punches frantically, launching an assault against his opponent.
Opposite him stood a large, pink, chubby man wearing gloves, a blue cape draped over his shoulders, and a small antenna protruding from his head.
This person was none other than Majin Buu.
"You are strong, but you are still no match for me."
Majin Buu caught the man's fist, his small face wearing a smile. Then, his squinted eyes opened to reveal an evil grin, and he threw a punch that landed squarely in his opponent's gut.
"Boom!"
Majin Buu made a sound effect with his mouth, and King Vegeta was sent flying like a kite with a broken string.
The recoiling King Vegeta smashed through several mountain ranges, kicking up a cloud of dust.
"How is this possible? How can such a powerful monster exist in this world!"
Lying in a pile of rubble, King Vegeta looked on in disbelief. He was in a sorry state, his clothes tattered and stained with spots of blood.
Pushing aside the rocks pinning him down, King Vegeta flared his energy and charged back up.
"Take this! Big Bang Attack!"
Pulling his left hand back and reversing his right, he pressed his palm against his left hand. A blue energy sphere gathered, and with a roar from King Vegeta, it transformed into a beam of energy and blasted outward.
Facing this powerful attack, Majin Buu didn't dodge or evade; he simply raised his hands and blocked the assault head-on.
The energy wave, which should have pierced the heavens, hit an obstacle and couldn't push forward an inch.
"Hee hee hee! My turn."
Majin Buu raised his hands, tossing the massive energy beam into the sky. Then, he opened his mouth wide, and a pink beam of energy fired back in retaliation.
"Nani?"
Seeing his opponent easily block his attack and then counter with a mouth-blast, the proud King Vegeta wanted to imitate him and catch the move to prove he was no less capable.
But who would have thought? King Vegeta crossed his arms, and the terrifying impact slammed him directly into the ground, leaving a crater a hundred meters in diameter.
Watching this scene, Son Goku could only shake his head. He couldn't handle it, yet he insisted on trying—now look at the mess he was in!
