Wham! Vegeta kicked Ginyu and sent him flying a long way.
Ginyu glared at Vegeta with hatred, but there was nothing he could do. His opponent was too strong; he simply couldn't win.
"Captain Ginyu, we're here to spread some warmth."
Ginyu looked up and immediately spotted Gamos and Launch floating in the air.
For some reason, his gaze was instantly drawn to the chip and energy reactor in Gamos's hand.
This body was yearning—yearning to obtain those things. His instincts told him that if he got them, his body would become even stronger.
"What are those?"
Ginyu asked.
Gamos simply tossed them to him. An inexplicable force of attraction kept them from hitting the ground, sending them straight toward Ginyu instead.
The two energy reactors sank into his chest, while the two energy chips flew toward his forehead and merged into his temples.
As the two reactors and two chips merged with him, Ginyu suddenly felt power coursing through his entire body. The surging energy made his body begin to swell.
"Aaaaaah!"
Ginyu roared again and again. A terrifying power erupted inside him, and he involuntarily floated into the air.
He clenched both fists, lifted his head high, and cried out to the sky.
Amid a series of shrill screams, Ginyu's body shot up to a height of three and a half meters. His skin changed from its original human color to purple.
His hair turned a vivid green, and his eyes became red, without pupils.
Vegeta also sensed Ginyu's transformation and couldn't help being astonished. Although he couldn't sense an Android's ki, he could clearly feel how terrifying Ginyu's energy was.
"How is this possible? He's nothing but a hunk of scrap metal, yet the energy he's giving off is nearly as strong as mine. And it's still rising—how is that possible?"
Vegeta could clearly feel that after this upgrade, Ginyu's strength had surpassed his own. Now they finally had a real fight on their hands.
But as a Saiyan, Vegeta wasn't afraid. If anything, he was looking forward to it—even excited.
Aside from Sun Wukong, Vegeta had never had another opponent to train against on Earth. Now he could fight someone different—and, better yet, Captain Ginyu, whom he'd always wanted to beat to a pulp. The thought thrilled him.
A little while later, Ginyu finally completed his evolution. Looking at his own massive physique, he laughed out loud with delight.
"Hahaha! I never imagined an Android could be this powerful. This terrifying battle power can't even be described with numbers anymore, can it?"
"Vegeta, this time I'm going to snap your neck."
Ginyu flashed to Vegeta's side and slammed a heavy punch into his abdomen. Before Vegeta could react, the blow landed squarely.
Wham! Vegeta felt his stomach churn violently, then went flying.
"It's not over yet."
Ginyu charged again. Before Vegeta could hit the ground, Ginyu drove an uppercut skyward, punching the already airborne Vegeta high into the sky.
Then he appeared in Vegeta's path in an instant. Copying the stance Vegeta had used earlier, he clasped both hands together and brought them down hard on Vegeta as he flew upward, doubled over.
Wham! The once-arrogant Vegeta was smashed into the ground, leaving a deep crater.
"Cough, cough!"
Badly hurt, Vegeta couldn't help coughing. Then he looked up at Ginyu, who was gloating in the air.
Ginyu was now the very picture of triumph.
He struck a victory pose, holding his left fist level with his chest and raising his right hand high at a forty-five-degree angle, then shouted:
"Ginyu!"
The awkward pose and over-the-top theatrics made everyone break out in a cold sweat.
"Gamos, I want in too."
Sun Wukong was already raring to go. Gamos readily agreed, casting Gravity Magic to signal that he could join the fight.
Vegeta charged again and threw a punch. Ginyu merely raised one hand and caught it. When Vegeta swung with his other hand, Ginyu caught that fist just as easily.
Then Ginyu smashed his forehead into Vegeta's. Vegeta saw stars and was kicked flying.
"Ha! Take this!"
Ginyu had just finished dealing with Vegeta when Sun Wukong arrived in front of him.
Ginyu turned around, only to see a fist growing larger in his vision. He didn't dodge, taking the punch head-on.
Sun Wukong's fist struck Ginyu's face. It felt like punching a rock. Ginyu didn't budge, while Sun Wukong's own hand felt as if it might burst. The pain was excruciating.
"Ow! Ow, that hurts!"
Ginyu kicked him flying. He'd nearly beaten Vegeta to death, and Sun Wukong had still dared to join the fight without transforming. The man had a death wish.
Only after being kicked away did Sun Wukong finally experience the strength of Super Android 13. At last, he stopped underestimating his opponent.
"Just what I'd expect from something Gamos had his eye on. It's got incredible battle power. I'm getting excited already."
The next second, Sun Wukong transformed into a Super Saiyan 2, lightning crackling around him as surging golden energy shot into the sky.
Sun Wukong charged again. Vegeta, who'd been kicked away, flew back as well. As if they'd planned it, the two launched a fierce assault on Ginyu at the same time.
Their fists were as fast as the wind as they unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks.
Ginyu was driven back by their attacks. He dodged or blocked most of them, taking only a few solid hits.
The three battled in the air, locked in a fierce struggle with no clear winner.
Gamos pulled out a special Battle Detector, looked toward the three fighters, and began scanning their battle power.
After a series of beeps, the device finished recording all three readings.
Sun Wukong's battle power: 8.2 billion. Vegeta's battle power: 8.1 billion. Ginyu's battle power: 9.3 billion.
Seeing their battle power readings, Gamos fell into thought.
He hadn't had a Battle Detector before, so he hadn't been able to measure Sun Wukong and Vegeta's battle power. But judging by the strength of their ki, he could still estimate their approximate levels.
When Sun Wukong first transformed into a Super Saiyan, his battle power was over 100 million. After training continuously, he eventually broke through to Super Saiyan 2, when his battle power should have been around 1.8 billion.
Now, at the peak of Super Saiyan 2, his battle power had reached a staggering eight billion.
By that estimate, the Super Saiyan 1 battle power range should be between 100 million and two billion.
Super Saiyan 2 battle power should fall between two and eight billion.
If they could break through to Super Saiyan 3, their battle power should jump straight from eight billion to ten billion—or even higher.
