Withdrawing his consciousness from that space-time, Gamos flew toward Bulma's house with a grave expression.
"Bulma! Bulma!"
Arriving at the small courtyard of Bulma's home, Gamos called out directly.
Before long, a blue-haired girl walked out of the house. Seeing Gamos, whom she hadn't seen in a while, she asked, "What's wrong? Great scientist, you actually have time to visit me today."
As a fellow scientist, Bulma quite liked Gamos; compared to those Saiyans who only knew how to fight all day, Gamos seemed much more unique.
"Bulma, I plan to leave here for a while. Could you help me prepare some food? Enough to feed tens of thousands of people for a year."
Bulma frowned. Tens of thousands of people for a year? What kind of joke was that? Even with her family's wealth, gathering that much food would take time.
"Do you need it urgently?"
"Yes, very urgently. I've discovered a terrible space-time. The Earth in that parallel world is on the verge of total annihilation, and I need to take Son Goku and Vegeta to help."
Hearing it was a parallel world, Bulma became instantly interested. "A parallel world? Is it the same as ours? And what about the Vegeta and Son Goku of that world?"
Gamos shook his head; he didn't know either.
"Alright, then I'll do my best to prepare as much food as possible. When are you leaving?"
"Tomorrow morning. Actually, never mind, don't bother with the food. Just lend me the Dragon Radar."
Bulma immediately understood his plan. He was going to ask Shenron for the supplies!
"Do you need us to prepare anything?"
Two figures descended from the sky—it was none other than Son Goku and Vegeta. Their relationship was much better than in the original story; after all, in the original, Vegeta only had Son Goku as a rival, but now, with enemies everywhere, their hatred was dispersed, and Son Goku had instead become a brother-in-arms sharing the same fate.
Gamos took 30 Senzu Beans from the container in his personal space and handed ten to each of them. "Keep these for backup."
A moment later, Bulma brought out two Dragon Radars. Gamos had originally intended to search for the Dragon Balls himself, but now that he had two laborers, he tossed the devices to them and told them to go find the Dragon Balls.
Future world.
"Big Brother Gohan, I'm sorry. It's my fault you're in this state."
Son Gohan lay in a dilapidated house. It was very small, but extremely clean; one could tell the owner cleaned it often. Bulma placed a towel on Son Gohan's forehead and helped him dress his wounds.
Son Gohan was currently in a coma, and Trunks sat on a nearby chair, his face full of remorse. If not for his own impulsiveness, Big Brother Gohan wouldn't have been injured, and now, he had even lost an arm. The more Trunks thought about it, the angrier he became. He was so weak, yet he had recklessly challenged the Androids. He was truly useless; not only could he not help, but he had become a burden, dragging Big Brother Gohan down with him.
"Damn Androids, I will definitely become stronger. Sooner or later, I will kill every last one of you."
Trunks' eyes were filled with killing intent. Although he was only a twelve-year-old middle schooler, he had long since shed the innocence of a child, shouldering the heavy responsibility of protecting the Earth.
"Trunks, you've already done very well. You must know that when Goku was your age, he wasn't as strong as you. Don't put too much pressure on yourself, or you'll break under the weight," Bulma comforted him.
Just then, the ground suddenly trembled, followed by a deafening explosion in the distance. With a boom, all the buildings shook—or more accurately, the entire earth was trembling.
Trunks stood up abruptly, clenching his fists as he stared toward the door. He wanted to rush out to fight, to engage those hateful Androids in a life-or-death battle, but his reason told him he couldn't.
"Damn Androids, they're causing destruction again."
Trunks had fallen into danger because of his own impulsiveness, and Son Gohan had sacrificed an arm to save him. He absolutely could not act on impulse again.
"Trunks, stay calm."
Bulma pulled her son into her arms, comforting him incessantly. As a mother, seeing her son in such pain, how could her own heart not ache? But there was no choice; Son Gohan and Trunks were the last warriors on Earth, and the burden of protecting the planet naturally fell upon them. It was a responsibility they could not shirk. Yet, as a mother, she truly didn't want her son to fight anymore, but she had no way to change the situation.
"Trunks, endure it a little longer. Once your Big Brother Gohan wakes up, you two can train properly and become stronger. Only then will you have a chance at victory."
Trunks looked at his mother, who was pretending to be strong, gritted his teeth, and nodded.
Amidst the ruins of the city, a girl with short golden hair sat on the remains of a collapsed high-rise. Opposite her was a boy with short black hair.
"Android 17, how did it go?"
Android 17 shook his head and said with regret, "What a pity, he still managed to get away."
The two were not discouraged; they slowly stood up and soon left the area.
"Android 18, are you sure that besides the two of us, that bug is the only other Android left?"
"That should be the case! We've completely destroyed Dr. Gero's underground laboratory; there shouldn't be any other facilities."
Android 17 thought for a moment and chimed in with agreement.
"That's true. After all, Dr. Gero was strapped for cash back then. Establishing one laboratory was already an impressive feat; how could there possibly be any others?"
At this moment, Android 17 and Android 18 were reveling in the desire for destruction and the thrill of slaughter, living quite carefree lives.
Just after the two departed, a green head poked out from the ground. Glaring viciously at the retreating pair, he couldn't help but curse.
"Those bastards! I, the dignified Ultimate Android Cell, almost fell into the hands of these two low-level Androids. How detestable."
At this time, Cell was still in his base form. Even after constantly absorbing human essence, his combat power barely reached 1.9 billion. He had assumed that against Android 17 and Android 18, who had combat powers of 1 billion, he could easily take them down and devour them to reach his perfect form.
But who would have thought that Android 17 and Android 18 would completely deviate from the script? After killing Dr. Gero, they did indeed start causing destruction just like in the original timeline, killing the Z Fighters who protected Earth and leaving only two Saiyans behind.
However, things changed after that. Android 17 and Android 18 actually went up to Kami's Lookout and holed themselves up inside to train diligently. By the time they emerged, their strength had surged to 2.5 billion.
For Cell, fighting two opponents at once—especially two with infinite energy—was already troublesome enough, but these two were also overachievers; if he didn't absorb them today, they would only become stronger tomorrow.
What was even more hateful was that they actually knew of his existence and were scouring the world for him, eager to kill him on sight.
Whenever he thought of those two, Cell felt a throbbing headache. He couldn't for the life of him figure out where things had gone wrong.
Dr. Gero shouldn't have told them about his existence! Furthermore, they hadn't targeted him at the very beginning, so they must have been unaware back then. They only found out suddenly later on—what on earth happened?
