"Sun Wukong, Vegeta, weren't you both already dead thirteen years ago? Especially you, Vegeta. We killed you with our own hands."
Android 17 said in terror. Seeing people who had already died standing right in front of him again, radiating such a terrifying aura, made no sense at all.
"Hmph. This time, I'm going to kill you two with my own hands."
Vegeta had his pride. The moment he heard that the other guy had killed him—even if it was this timeline's version of himself—he was furious.
"W-wait a second."
Android 17 still wanted to say something, but Vegeta gave him no chance. Golden flames flared around him as he charged straight at his opponent.
"Die!"
Vegeta punched him in the chest. Android 17 didn't even have time to react before the blow sent him crashing into the mountains, smashing apart an entire peak with a rumble.
He seemed to hear his chest crack. Buried in a deep crater, he couldn't move at all, and even his consciousness was starting to fade.
Android 18 stared in horror at what had happened to Android 17. When she looked at Vegeta, her eyes were filled with fear.
"How could you have gotten this strong? It's impossible!"
"There's nothing impossible about it. Saiyans are far beyond what you can imagine."
An energy blast gathered in Vegeta's hand, and he fired it straight at her.
Android 18 had no time to dodge. At the last possible moment, she could only barely bring up a protective barrier. But under the terrifying attack, it lasted just one breath before shattering, and blue light swallowed her whole.
The shockwave struck the ground, leaving behind another enormous crater.
Vegeta snorted and spat. "Trash!"
He'd vented his anger and avenged himself, but the Earth had already been wrecked beyond recognition.
"I'm going to Namek."
Sun Wukong spoke up. Vegeta nodded. He knew what the other man intended to do, so he didn't stop him.
Just then, where Android 17 lay unconscious, a green tail poked out of the ground. It bit down on Android 17's head and began devouring him.
After Sun Wukong left, Vegeta turned around, intending to finish Android 17 off with a few more blows. But then he discovered, to his surprise, that Android 17 was gone.
"Where's Android 17? Did he get away?"
Elsewhere, a green tail appeared beside Android 18 as well and swallowed her in one bite.
Vegeta sensed something was wrong and shouted from the air.
"Whoever's hiding out there, show yourself! Let's see if I don't teach you a lesson!"
But as soon as the words left his mouth, a figure burst out of the ground with a bang.
"I'm out."
Then another figure erupted from the ground somewhere else. To his astonishment, there were two Cells.
"What are those things?"
The two Cells quickly collided. A person was wrapped in each of their tails.
This was Tien Shinhan's secret technique, the Four Witches Technique. Cell had split himself in two, and both Android 17 and Android 18 had been swallowed.
When the two Cells joined back together, the people inside their tails were drawn into his body. A brilliant light flared around him, and Vegeta instinctively took a few steps back, raising his hand to shield his eyes from the glare.
"Hahaha! I really have you to thank, Vegeta. With your help, I can finally become Perfect Cell!"
Cell roared. Terrifying energy surged around him as the tail that had been swishing through the air began to retract. His three-toed feet started to transform into humanlike feet, and his skin took on a brighter, glossier sheen.
At last, Cell completed his transformation. His insectlike face became a handsome human one, with two green carapaces perched atop his head.
Perfect Cell had appeared.
Feeling his opponent's aura, Vegeta snorted. Three pieces of trash put together were still trash. They were just a little bigger now.
"Prince Vegeta, to thank you for helping me become Perfect Cell, I'll make you the first soul to perish at my hands after my transformation!"
With that, the excited Cell could hardly wait to test his strength. He charged straight at Vegeta.
"Take this punch!"
Cell punched Vegeta in the face. Vegeta didn't move an inch. He simply swung back and slapped Cell across the face.
"You think you're hot stuff?"
Then came another slap across the other cheek. "So you're Perfect Cell, huh?"
Another sharp slap. "You're thanking me, huh?"
Another sharp slap. "I'm the first soul you're killing, huh?"
He delivered a slap for every sentence. A flurry of smacks left Cell, who had just advanced two levels, completely dazed.
Who am I? Where am I?
Cell stood there, utterly bewildered. Wasn't becoming Perfect Cell supposed to make him invincible in the universe?
The computer's data had clearly said that Perfect Cell could rule the universe. Dr. Gero, you lied to me! Boohoohoo!
Vegeta dropped out of the sky and kicked Cell straight into the lake, sending the figure who'd just been acting so invincible flying.
"Damn it! The people I was going to kill were mine, and you stole them from me!"
He'd beaten the two androids, only for Cell to steal his kills. Who wouldn't be angry?
"Cell, get your ass up here! Let me beat you up some more!"
Cell was already in despair. He'd become Perfect Cell but hadn't even gotten the chance to show off before Vegeta beat him into this sorry state. This world was too surreal.
"Impossible! This can't be happening! How could Vegeta be this strong? I have his cells in me! How could I not know how strong he is?"
"Something must have gone wrong somewhere. Maybe I came out the wrong way?"
Hearing Vegeta yelling from above, Cell didn't dare ignore him. He swallowed his fear and flew up.
"That was just a fluke. Witness the might of Cell!"
As he spoke, Cell struck a triumphant pose. Vegeta had been about to beat him up again, but his body suddenly jolted. Could the guy have Ginyu's genes in him too?
Seeing Vegeta stop, Cell thought he'd finally made his entrance the right way and was about to crush his opponent. But Vegeta came to his senses and kicked him furiously.
With a bang, Cell went flying again.
"What the hell? That's an eyesore."
After saying that, Vegeta prepared to send him straight to Hell.
"Big Bang Attack!"
At the same time, Sun Wukong returned with Instant Transmission.
"Vegeta, this is bad! All the Namekians have disappeared."
"Kakarot, get out of my way!"
Vegeta had already prepared his energy blast, but Sun Wukong had rushed over and gotten in the way.
Seeing that Vegeta was about to attack, Sun Wukong quickly stepped aside, revealing Cell behind him.
"Ahaha, spare me! If you let me live, I'll follow you from now on."
Cell wanted to die. Why were both of them so ridiculously strong?
Vegeta had been about to finish Cell off in one go, but as if he'd thought of something, he stopped his attack.
