"Kakarot, come here and beat this guy up."

Having said that, Vegeta charged in, pinning the opponent down and unleashing a flurry of punches.

Driven by anger over the destruction of Earth, Son Goku joined the fray, and for a while, they beat Cell until he lost all will to live.

Five minutes later, Vegeta dragged Cell—who had only a breath of life left—by one leg and flew toward Bulma's location.

Inside a secret underground laboratory, Bulma proudly displayed the Time Machine she had created. Although it was still missing that final touch, such an achievement was enough to make her proud.

"How is it? Isn't it amazing?"

Gamos crawled out from the bottom of the Time Machine, looking disheveled and covered in dust, yet his eyes revealed a sense of arrogance.

"Not bad, not bad. It really is quite impressive."

Gamos reached out and used telekinesis to manipulate the tiny components. His hands danced through the air, and the nearly completed Time Machine was dismantled into parts in an instant.

"What are you doing?"

Watching her hard work being torn apart, Bulma couldn't help but shout.

"I'm helping you upgrade it."

Gamos flashed a smug smile, then added several components. With a flurry of mechanical movement, countless parts began to assemble themselves. In less than five minutes, a brand-new Time Machine appeared before them.

"Finished."

Bulma stepped forward and tried pressing the buttons on it; immediately, a wealth of data appeared.

"This... it's finished? You finished my work?"

Bulma's eyes were filled with astonishment. This was the result of over ten years of her research, and no matter how she tried, she couldn't get that final piece to work. Yet, this guy had finished it in a few quick moves?

Looking at this little monster, Bulma didn't even know what to say. This kid was even more of a genius than she was!

Just as Gamos was about to boast, he sensed Vegeta's ki.

"Son Goku and Vegeta are back."

The two left the laboratory and, upon reaching the entrance, saw the pair.

Seeing them return safely, Bulma finally felt at ease. The worries of the past decade finally dissipated in this moment.

As long as Son Goku and Vegeta were around, they would always return in triumph.

"Gamos, take this thing."

Only then did the two notice that Vegeta was dragging a green creature behind him that looked like a dead dog.

"Cell?"

Gamos hurried over. It was actually in its perfect form—a decent research subject.

"You love doing research, don't you? I'm sure you'll really like this Ultimate Android."

Vegeta smiled faintly. He wanted to see just how impressive Gamos's technology really was and whether he could develop an even more powerful android.

"Not bad, not bad. A perfect-form Cell is indeed a fine research subject."

Hearing their conversation, Cell felt terrible. He was the dignified Ultimate Android, the perfect-form Cell, destined to rule the entire universe! And yet, he was being treated like a lab rat for their experiments. It was simply outrageous.

"I!"

Cell couldn't get another word out. The strength of the people before him was terrifying, one after another. He had better behave himself!

If he ever got the chance to escape, he would definitely absorb more powerful life forms. Once he became stronger, he would return to kill everyone who dared to humiliate him, and then devour them.

Looking at the dying Cell, Gamos pulled a Senzu Bean from his pocket and shoved it into the creature's mouth.

Cell chewed instinctively, and with a crunch, he suddenly felt a jolt through his entire body. His injuries seemed to have healed.

He jumped up with a whoosh, patted his body, and found he was indeed completely intact. Moreover, his strength seemed to have improved slightly. This was fantastic.

"Ahahaha! I, Cell, have returned, and I'm even stronger! Vegeta, prepare to die!"

Cell felt like he was back in the game, but Gamos backhanded him with a punch, bang, right into his abdomen. Cell felt his stomach churn violently.

With a blech, Cell spat out a glob of phlegm, hunched over while clutching his stomach, and retreated several steps.

"Behave yourself."

"You, you, you."

Cell looked at the little guy in disbelief. He was clearly just a brat, yet he possessed such power—how was this possible?

At this moment, Cell was spiraling into despair. So much for the perfect form being invincible in the universe; everyone here was more of a freak than the last. His small frame really couldn't take it.

Cell's current mindset was exactly like Vegeta's back in the day. He had thought that once Frieza died, he would be the king of the universe, only to find a whole group of people stronger than him. That feeling was absolutely devastating.

"I... I'll be good."

Seeing Gamos's unfriendly gaze, he had no choice but to submit.

"Very good!"

From here on, it had nothing to do with Son Goku and Vegeta. Gamos took out a Capsule Corp Capsule, found an open space, and with a bang, his laboratory appeared.

As a scientist, carrying one's own laboratory at all times was a good habit.

Bulma's expression was one of pure amazement as she gazed at the massive laboratory, which resembled a palace, before following inside.

Vegeta didn't need to guess; when two scientists got together, Cell's fate wouldn't be a pleasant one.

Sure enough, a moment later, a scream like a slaughtered pig echoed from within.

A three-second moment of silence for Cell.

Ignoring them, Vegeta turned his attention to Son Goku.

"What about this timeline? We can't stay here forever; we must find a way to resurrect our counterparts in this reality."

Son Goku's expression turned grave as he spoke.

"I went to see King Kai. After his thorough search, he couldn't locate Namek. The Namekians have likely met with misfortune, so we must prepare for the worst."

"This is already the worst-case scenario. The Dragon Balls on Earth are gone, and the Namekians have vanished. How are we supposed to resurrect the people of this timeline now?"

With not a single set of Dragon Balls available, the two of them couldn't help but feel overwhelmed.

"Damn it, if only we could bring the Dragon Balls from our own world over here."

Son Goku scratched his head with both hands and muttered the thought aloud without realizing it.

As soon as the words left his lips, the two exchanged a look; it didn't seem impossible.

"Bringing the Dragon Balls from our world over—that should be able to resurrect the people of this world, right?"

Vegeta thought for a moment, then shook his head.

"It feels unreliable. Logically speaking, it should work, but I can't shake the feeling that something is off."

Just then, Bulma walked out of the laboratory and looked at Son Goku.

"Goku, there's something I forgot. Take this, and remember to take it on time."

Son Goku looked at the medicine in his hand and asked in confusion, "What is this?"

"In the future, you died because of a Heart Virus. Your timeline hasn't developed an effective cure yet, but it has been perfected in this one. Take this bottle, and it should cure your condition."

"You absolutely cannot die again."

Bulma warned him with a stern face before turning back into the laboratory.

Son Goku looked at the medicine in his hand and couldn't help but sigh.

"To think that I, a proud Super Saiyan, would actually fall ill. How pathetic."

"Hmph, that Heart Virus probably has everything to do with your Kaioken. Every time you fight, you use Kaioken at the drop of a hat; it's a miracle your heart has held up this long," Vegeta said irritably.
