"Goku, Vegeta, help me find this timeline's Hercule!"
Gamos's voice rang directly in their minds. Sun Wukong and Vegeta immediately understood what he was planning: he wanted to create a Super Hercule!
"Tch, Androids again!"
Vegeta was really annoyed. Gamos was treating Super Androids like they were coming off an assembly line. Every one of them was stronger than him. There were more and more mountains to climb, and he couldn't stand it. No, he had to get stronger—and fast.
Less than an hour later, Sun Wukong was flying through the sky with a man dangling from his hand, screaming at the top of his lungs.
"Mr. Satan, stop screaming. You're perfectly safe, so don't worry!"
"Who—who are you? You can fly! Are you an Android too?"
Hercule was terrified. He'd been helping the survivors build a temporary base when Sun Wukong and Vegeta had suddenly dropped from the sky, called him by name, and whisked him away.
"Quit whining. You'll find out when we get there," Vegeta answered irritably.
He was carrying someone else in his other hand: Hercule's daughter, Videl.
Videl had grown into a beautiful young woman in this timeline. But with Android 17 and Android 18 wreaking havoc everywhere, the schools had long since closed. She had never met Son Gohan and knew nothing about the Saiyans.
Sun Wukong and Vegeta each carried one person, and soon they arrived at the laboratory.
"Gamos, we brought the people you wanted."
Gamos came out and took a look. Well, buy one, get one free—there was even a young woman, Videl.
"Hello, you two!"
Vegeta glanced around, then asked in confusion, "Where's Bulma?"
"Over there!"
Gamos pointed to a room, and Vegeta headed straight inside.
As soon as he opened the door, Vegeta's pupils contracted and fury surged through him.
Bulma lay motionless inside a stasis pod. Through the glass, he could see countless tubes attached to her body.
"What happened? Gamos, what did you do to her?"
Vegeta's aura erupted in anger, and he transformed into a Super Saiyan.
"Relax, relax. This is to help her survive. You know how powerful Super Androids are. If Bulma had that kind of strength, she'd be able to protect herself if she ever faced danger again."
"But..."
Vegeta couldn't accept it just yet. His wife had been perfectly fine, and now she was being turned into an Android. Was that really all right?
"Did she agree to this?" Vegeta asked at last. After all, according to her memories, the Androids had turned the entire Earth into what it was now. They should have been the people she hated most.
And now Bulma was going to turn herself into an Android. It hardly seemed possible.
"Of course. I'd never do anything against a woman's wishes."
Gamos shrugged, then turned his gaze toward Hercule and Videl.
The father and daughter didn't look like they were completely helpless. It seemed they had managed reasonably well in the Androids' apocalypse.
"Very good. Mr. Satan, Miss Videl, I plan to create a few Androids to protect this planet. Are you willing?"
The two exchanged a look, both seeing the shock in the other's eyes.
Androids? Weren't they the ones who had thrown Earth into chaos? What did he mean? Did he want to turn them into Androids?
"No, no, no! I'm not becoming a killing machine! I, Hercule, am destined to save the whole world. I'm a hero, not a monster!"
"Even if it costs me my life, I won't let you turn me and my dad into those monsters!"
Seeing the determination on their faces, Gamos couldn't help but rub his forehead. It seemed Android 17 and Android 18 had left a deep scar on everyone's minds.
With a sigh, Gamos explained Androids to them again. In short, if they wanted great power, they could undergo the procedure. Once they had that power, they could become genuine heroes.
He also assured them that he wouldn't brainwash them or use any kind of mind control. And even as Androids, they'd still be able to have children normally.
After hearing his explanation, Hercule sprang to his feet, planted his hands on his hips, and laughed heartily.
"As the saying goes, 'If I don't go to Hell, who will?' To protect peace on Earth, I, Hercule, am willing to make this sacrifice and become an Android!"
Watching her father change his tune so quickly, Videl couldn't help twitching at the corner of her mouth.
"In that case, I'll undergo the procedure too."
Both of them had martial arts training, and they were decent people with the spirit of heroes. Gamos was happy to give them a hand.
Bulma was in pod 19, so Hercule and Videl went into pods 20 and 21.
"The procedure will take a week. When you wake up, you'll be Super Hercule and Super Videl—or, in other words, Super Android 20 and Super Android 21."
Before long, the two had fallen asleep. Gamos finished setting the program, then left the computer to handle the entire procedure.
Once that was done, Gamos turned to the two of them.
"How are things outside? When can Earth be restored? And when can the people here be brought back to life?"
Sun Wukong's expression was grave as he replied.
"The Namekians are dead. They've been wiped out, and there are no Dragon Balls left in this timeline. So I'm planning to bring the Dragon Balls from our timeline over and use them to bring everyone here back to life."
Hearing the other man's wildly imaginative plan, Gamos silently gave him a thumbs-up. It was certainly an unconventional approach.
"That's not a bad idea. No idea if it'll work, but it's worth a try."
Just then, the whole Earth began to shake again, as if another disaster were about to strike.
"What's happening in this timeline now? We just dealt with the Androids. Is a new enemy already showing up?"
Vegeta excitedly ran outside, only to witness a shocking sight.
The sky had darkened. In the distance, a pink beam of light shot upward, accompanied by two powerful auras. They were very similar, except one was good and the other evil.
"What's going on?"
Sun Wukong and Vegeta flew straight toward the beam of light. Gamos's eyes flickered with uncertainty.
"Majin Buu—and there are two of them. Looks like this timeline is different from the original too!"
Sensing that something interesting was going on, Gamos set down his small tools, took off his lab coat, changed into his Battle Suit, and followed them.
When they reached the source of the light, they saw a huge, fat man fighting a little kid.
Gamos knew both of them. The fat one was the Majin Buu who had appeared first, while the little kid was Majin Buu's original form.
At the end of the original Majin Buu Saga, while Sun Wukong gathered energy for the Spirit Bomb to destroy Kid Buu, Fat Buu bought him time. But Fat Buu couldn't beat Kid Buu.
Now the two Majin Buu were fighting right there.
