"Humans are truly a pitiful species, unaware of their own sins."

Sensing the evil aura Frieza had radiated just moments ago, Black-Clad Son Goku's face twisted with disgust.

At the same time, another figure suddenly appeared. He wore the same black clothes, but he wasn't Son Goku.

When Son Goku saw the newcomer, his eyes nearly bulged out of his head.

"Ve-Vegeta?"

Not only Son Goku, but even Son Gohan and Piccolo, who were still alive, were astonished.

"Well, Son Goku, you're really weak now!"

After saying this, Black-Clad Vegeta glanced at Black-Clad Son Goku and asked, "Why did you suddenly come here? Son Goku at this point in time doesn't seem to be worth much."

"Since we're here, we might as well kill him while we're at it. It won't take much effort anyway."

"True."

The two reached an agreement, then looked at Son Goku with wicked grins.

"Human, disappear!"

The two raised their hands. A golden energy wave wrapped in black appeared and shot straight at Son Goku.

At the sight of it, Son Goku's hair stood on end. He felt an overwhelming sense of dread.

He couldn't sense their auras, but his instincts told him that this attack would kill him.

Without a second thought, he dodged. A deafening boom followed, and terrifying energy swept across the land, leaving a massive crater behind.

The attack didn't look particularly powerful, but Son Goku had felt the threat of death in that single strike.

"Not bad. You really are something, Son Goku."

The two praised him in unison, then prepared to attack again.

Elsewhere, Gamos stood inside a mysterious cave.

"Yasi, is this the passage to the outside world?"

"Yes. Once you leave here, you can appear anywhere in the outside world. I've left a mark on you. Whenever you want to come back, just let me know, and I'll use my telekinetic powers to teleport you here."

Gamos nodded. In that case, he could use this place as a transit station and appear anywhere in the universe whenever he wanted. That was fantastic.

Just as he was thinking this, Yasi poured cold water on his plans.

"Calling you back each time takes a lot of telekinetic energy. I can summon you at most once a year, so don't treat this place like a free ride."

After spending five years together, Yasi had long since figured Gamos out. One look at his lecherous grin was enough to tell her what he was thinking.

Gamos clicked his tongue, folded his arms, and swaggered coolly toward the depths of the tunnel.

"Well, I'm off!"

Gamos waved goodbye. Though he felt reluctant to leave, he was even more eager to see the world outside.

"Goodbye!"

Yasi waved too, sadness in her eyes. But then she seemed to remember something and called out, "Oh, right! A while ago, a temporal storm occurred, so time here and time outside don't quite match up anymore."

Hearing Yasi call after him, Gamos turned around in surprise. He was about to ask what she meant when a powerful force swept him away, pulling him in as if he'd been sucked into a washing machine. The world spun around him.

When he regained consciousness, Gamos opened his eyes and found himself at the destination he'd set in advance.

"Is this Namek?"

He looked at the dark sky, the trembling ground, the erupting lava, and the typhoons raging overhead.

This dreadful environment seemed completely different from the beautiful Namek he knew!

"Why does it look like the planet's about to be destroyed? Wait, if Namek is being destroyed, does that mean this is when Son Goku first transforms into a Super Saiyan?"

The time here clearly didn't match the time when he'd left, but when he remembered Yasi mentioning some kind of storm, it all seemed to make sense.

"Never mind. I should catch one of the greatest moments live first. The first Super Saiyan transformation—when Son Goku transformed for the first time, the whole anime world seemed to dim."

"It'd be a real shame not to see a moment like that."

Gamos turned into a streak of green light and flew into the distance. He sensed a familiar aura over there, one that belonged exclusively to a Saiyan.

That aura also brimmed with immense energy, far more advanced than an ordinary Saiyan's. It had to be where Son Goku was.

Gamos was incredibly fast. In just a few seconds, he reached his destination.

"Who's there?"

Sensing someone approaching, Son Goku immediately turned around and warily watched the distance.

The two Dark Ones who'd appeared were already powerful enough. Was another new enemy showing up now?

For the first time, Son Goku, who had never feared anything, felt a trace of terror.

This wasn't like facing a powerful foe. It was like facing the Grim Reaper! If he had even the slightest chance of winning, he wouldn't be afraid.

But now he couldn't sense their auras, and even the slightest movement from them made him feel that death was near. How was he supposed to fight them?

The two Dark Ones in the sky seemed to sense the distant aura too, and they looked puzzled.

"According to the intelligence, the strongest fighter at this point in time should be Son Goku, who just became a Super Saiyan for the first time. Why is someone else here?"

"Whoever he is, as long as he's human, we might as well wipe him out."

Their words were arrogant beyond measure, and their haughty manner was truly loathsome.

Gamos sensed that something was wrong too. By rights, the one confronting Son Goku at this point should have been Frieza, the Emperor of the Universe. So why couldn't he sense Frieza's aura?

When he reached the scene, Gamos finally saw his childhood idol. But when he turned his head, he saw people who shouldn't have been there.

"Zamasu?"

Gamos couldn't help crying out in surprise.

The standard Dark One outfit, the familiar green Potara Earrings, and that wicked smile—it was impossible to mistake him.

But unlike in the original story, there should have been only one Dark One: Dark Son Goku. Who was the Dark Vegeta beside him? And shouldn't this be the Future Timeline?

Why had Son Goku run into such terrifying enemies when he'd only just become a Super Saiyan for the first time?

Hearing Gamos call out his name, the two Dark Ones exchanged a glance, both looking puzzled.

"This person knows who we are? Could he be from another timeline too?"

"Maybe. It doesn't matter. As long as he's human, we'll eliminate him."

"Perfect. We could use a sparring partner. Let's warm up here."

Having made up their minds, the two stepped forward in unison. They crossed their arms, drew back their right arms, then conjured golden energy balls wrapped in black and fired them at Gamos.

The two identical energy balls overlapped in midair, then merged into a much more powerful one.

Gamos' face darkened at the sight. He'd only come to watch. How had he ended up in a mess like this?

"Have you no shame? Attacking a kid who isn't even six yet? I curse you—"

Before he could finish his profanity, the terrifying energy ball had already reached him. With no time to dodge, Gamos crossed his arms in front of himself.

Carrying immense force, the energy ball sent Gamos hurtling far into the distance.

"What do you think of this body? Want to take it over?"

Dark Son Goku asked teasingly.

"Forget it. This body's too small. It'd be better to go to the future and take over his future body."

In the eyes of the two Dark Ones, Son Goku was as insignificant as an ant. He didn't interest them in the slightest.

They had come here knowing that Son Goku was very weak at this point in time, so they'd planned to kill him while they were at it.

Dark Son Goku raised his hand, intending to wipe Son Goku out in one blow. Sensing his undisguised killing intent, Son Goku braced himself and focused completely.

In his eyes, the two enemies before him were far stronger than Frieza had been.

"Son Goku, I get to kill you again. It's your honor to die once more at the hands of a god."

As the attack flew toward him, Son Goku crossed his arms in front of himself, just as Gamos had. He too was blasted away by the terrifying energy sphere, crashing down in the distance as a violent explosion erupted.

"Dad!"

Son Gohan, who had been watching from below, saw his father suffer such a terrifying attack and cried out without thinking.

White light flickered around his body as he transformed into a streak of light and flew toward the site of Son Goku's explosion.

"Gohan!"

Piccolo, whose wounds Dende had just healed, also hurried after Son Goku.

That left Dende alone, cowering in fear behind a rock.

Just as the two Dark Ones raised their hands, preparing to destroy the planet with a single energy ball, a green light shot into the sky in the distance, and a powerful force erupted.

A figure standing six feet tall appeared before everyone.

Gamos' muscles had bulged, and his original height of just under four feet had surged to six feet under the influence of the terrifying energy.

"Zamasu, die!"

Gamos' eyes rolled back, and his whole body seethed with murderous rage. Just moments ago, he'd planned to test his strength, only to find that he couldn't withstand the enemy's attack. He'd nearly been killed on the spot.

Fortunately, at the critical moment, Gamos had stopped suppressing the energy within him. His terrifying power surged out of control. If he hadn't regularly trained his body, he would have exploded on the spot.

After all, Gamos was only a little over five years old, and his body was still rather fragile.

He'd withstood the impact of the energy, but then the power inside him began to run wild beyond his control.

It sent Gamos straight into a berserk Super Saiyan state—the same state Broly had entered in the Dragon Ball movie, when he'd rubbed two Super Saiyan Blues into the ground.

However, unlike Broly, Gamos' small body limited the power he could unleash. He was probably only at an ordinary Super Saiyan 2's level, comparable to Super Perfect Cell. And since he had no combat experience at all, his actual fighting strength would be even lower.
