Background / History

Tang San is closely associated with Xiao Wu from their time at Notting Academy, where they address one another as siblings. When Li Jiutian kidnaps Xiao Wu to force Tang San to appear, Tang San arrives alone with poison needles concealed in his hand. He uses the Purple Demon Eye and Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track against Li Jiutian, but the difference in soul power leaves him badly injured; Tang Hao and Grandmaster intervene before Li Jiutian can finish him. 4

During the Continental Advanced Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament, Tang San's Clear Sky Hammer is publicly revealed as his second martial soul. Shrek's fusion support briefly raises his power beyond Level 70, enabling a Martial Soul Avatar that defeats Feng Xiaotian's team. 22

Tang San is a highly adaptive combatant who prioritizes planning, misdirection, and exploiting openings. He identifies Xue Qinghe's connection to Spirit Hall from the concentration of soul masters and Titled Douluo around the imperial palace, later designs multi-front campaigns against the Spirit Hall Empire, and uses false intelligence to draw enemies into ambushes. 86 202 204

He is intensely determined to survive and defeat Li Jiutian, repeatedly using costly techniques when outmatched. This resolve can become volatile: after Xiao Wu appears beside Li Jiutian, Tang San curses her, declares that hundred-thousand-year soul beasts should die, and reveals that he had long known her true nature through the Purple Demon Eye. 90
