Lu Chen was an ordinary person in his previous life before transmigrating into a farming family. His hostility toward Tang Hao began when Tang Hao seized his work-study student place for Tang San and used his overwhelming pressure against Lu Chen’s family. Unable to resist, Lu Chen concealed his anger and resolved to become strong enough to retaliate 4 5.

At Nuoding Academy, he refused Yu Xiaogang’s approach, defeated Wang Sheng, and became Room Seven’s boss. He subsequently excluded Tang San from the dormitory’s mutual-support group after Tang San refused its challenge rule 7 8.

Lu Chen spent three years studying literacy, history, geography, and Spirit Beast knowledge before attempting his first hunt. Although he already possessed considerable physical strength, he recognized that ignorance of Spirit Beast species and ages made indiscriminate hunting dangerous 5 15.

Independent Spirit Beast Hunts

Leaving the academy at nine, Lu Chen entered Star Dou Forest alone and sought plant Spirit Beasts suitable for a support-oriented Martial Soul. He deliberately rejected rings that would divert Blue Silver Grass toward attack or control, instead prioritizing healing, energy recovery, defense, purification, and self-enhancement 16 17 24.

He supplemented these support skills with his self-created Explosive Step and Cannon Fist. By repeatedly training against an eight-thousand-year Sun-Facing Flower, healing his injuries between attempts, he developed both techniques for practical combat 21 22.

Within half a year, he progressed from a ringless Spirit Scholar to a rank 69 Support Spirit Emperor. He began concealing his face and Spirit Rings because a six-ring Spirit Master under ten would attract dangerous attention 29 30 33.

Dugu Bo and the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well

Traveling as Lan Chen, Lu Chen offered to neutralize Dugu Bo’s poison and became his younger sworn brother. Dugu Bo introduced him to Dugu Yan as “Grandpa Lan Chen,” a misunderstanding Lu Chen mischievously allowed to continue 31 34.

The Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well became central to his cultivation. Its herbs strengthened his body, mental power, and Martial Souls, preparing him to absorb the Blue Silver King’s eighty-five-thousand-year ring. That absorption evolved his Martial Soul into the Blue Silver Emperor and broke his disguise before Dugu Bo and Dugu Yan 42 51 52 57 58.

After the two supported him against Spirit Hall, Lu Chen revealed his real name, commoner background, twin Martial Souls, and age of approximately eleven. He continued keeping his transmigration and breathing talent secret 89 90.

Return Home and Conflict with Shrek

After becoming a Titled Douluo at twelve, Lu Chen returned to Holy Soul Village following a three-year absence. To avoid frightening his parents and Old Jack, he restored his former appearance and presented himself as a three-ring Soul Elder 95 96.

He secretly rescued Zhu Zhuqing from pursuing Spirit Masters and later reunited with Xiao Wu in Suotuo City. He refused Flender’s invitation to Shrek Academy and gave Xiao Wu a Substitute Blue Silver Emperor to conceal her true form and protect her from fatal injuries 94 101 103.

Tang San subsequently attempted to assassinate him. Lu Chen reversed Tang San’s Blue Silver Entanglement, overwhelmed his Tang Sect techniques, and defeated him. Later, he forcibly removed Tang San’s Eight Spider Lances, damaging his foundation, and challenged Yu Xiaogang to bring Tang Hao for revenge 105 106 138 139.

Lu Chen also confronted the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan, whose leaders he accused of attempting to ambush him. He killed Ning Fengzhi, Gu Rong, and Chen Xin; Chen Xin’s strongest strike failed to finish him because a Substitute Blue Silver Emperor absorbed the fatal damage 144 149 170.

Longevity Sect and Continental Influence

Lu Chen moved his parents to Fasinuo City, providing a house and farmland, then developed the Longevity Sect and Longevity Academy with Dugu Bo’s support. At the academy, he taught commoner students to question nobles and emperors, intending ultimately to end feudal imperial rule 113 164 180 190.

When Tang Hao came to the sect, Lu Chen used Etherealization to evade his Clear Sky Hammer and wounded him in repayment for his family’s humiliation. Lu Chen later confirmed that he had killed Tang Hao and destroyed the Clear Sky Sect 181 182 261.

His influence extended into Heaven Dou politics. Xue Beng initially offered obedience and a share of the empire, while Xue Xing became regent under Lu Chen’s coercion. That arrangement later bred resentment, and Xue Beng began supporting Tang San’s proposed hidden-weapon army as a means of opposing him 205 299 300.

Lu Chen also brought the Lower Four Sects under his protection, relocating them to the Longevity Sect rather than allowing Bibi Dong to assemble them for her plans against the Upper Three Sects 295.

Spirit Hall, Resurrection, and the Ocean Journey

Keeping his promise to Xiao Wu, Lu Chen defeated Qian Daoliu and retrieved her mother’s Spirit Ring and Soft Bone Rabbit Spirit Bone from Bibi Dong. Although lingering Angel Divine Power continued burning through his body, he escaped to Star Dou Forest, secured Yue Guan and Gui Mei’s submission, and prepared Ah Rou’s resurrection 205 238.

After he expelled the divine power, the Reincarnation Blue Silver Emperor developed Ah Rou’s restored body over three days. Her awakening reunited Xiao Wu with her mother 240.

During his ocean journey, Lu Chen completed his second Martial Soul and obtained the Seed of Destruction. He rejected the Asura inheritance, provoking the Asura God into attacking through the Asura Demon Sword. Surviving that assault improved his practical combat skills and established a lasting feud 254 255 258.

Rather than taking the Sea God position himself, he selected Dugu Yan as its best candidate and gave her the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud before bringing her to Sea God Island 269.

Ascension and the Divine Realm

While fighting Bibi Dong after her ascension as the Rakshasa God, Lu Chen stopped suppressing his accumulated power. Through the Innate Technique, he fused Life and Destruction into creation power and became a Supreme God King 309.

He later killed Bibi Dong with the World-Destroying Blade and survived the Asura God’s Asura Blood Sword through another Substitute Blue Silver Emperor. Afterward, he repaired the battle’s spatial damage and decided to reinforce the Douluo Plane before leaving 317.

Lu Chen arranged to take his parents to the Divine Realm. When Old Jack refused to leave his village, Lu Chen instead empowered a Reincarnation Blue Silver Emperor to collect his soul at the end of his life 336.

In the Divine Realm, he proposed using the Golden Dragon King and Silver Dragon King to stabilize its expansion into a God Star. With the God of Destruction’s support, he returned to Life Lake to seek the Silver Dragon King, telling Da Ming and Er Ming that the expansion could eventually allow Spirit Beasts to become gods 346.

Appearance

• Childhood build: At six, he stood 1.6 meters tall with lean muscle, thick eyebrows, large eyes, and a still-childish face. By nine, he was 1.8 meters tall and physically resembled an adult 13 15.
• Water-and-fire refinement: The well’s tempering left his skin smooth and faintly lustrous like jade 43.
• Blue Silver Emperor transformation: His originally black hair turned blue, his eyes became a clear, deep blue, and his features became more striking 58.
• Later appearance: He stands two meters tall, with broad shoulders, a narrow waist, sharply defined features, and azure hair reaching his waist. He wears fitted blue robes 170.
• Disguises: Frequently adopts an ordinary middle-aged face; when visiting family, he recreates his pre–Blue Silver Emperor appearance instead 60 83 95.

Personality

Lu Chen is cautious about exposing his advantages. He conceals his age, appearance, Spirit Rings, and true strength until he believes he can withstand the consequences. His caution is practical rather than passive: he studies diligently, seeks advice from teachers, and continues cultivating even after reaching Super Douluo 15 33 53 180.

His attachment to his family drives both his ambition and his revenge. He comforts his parents after Tang Hao’s intimidation, relocates them for safety, helps them become Spirit Masters, and insists that they accompany him to the Divine Realm 5 113 189 336.

Toward enemies, he can be deliberately cruel. He isolates Tang San, removes his external Spirit Bone, and allows Chen Xin to believe his strongest attack has succeeded before returning unharmed. He also uses calculated dependency in early alliances, initially withholding a permanent solution to the Dugu family’s poison problem to preserve his value to them 8 36 139 149.

His mischievous side appears most clearly around Dugu Yan, particularly when he lets her call him “Grandpa.” As their trust deepens, he becomes more open with her and Dugu Bo rather than maintaining every layer of his false identity 34 72 89.
