Background / History

Ling's real name is Carol. In an earlier era, she was a light-golden-haired girl searching for her missing parents alongside Fang Ran. She later learned that Van Helsing had known of her parents' deaths and concealed the truth; Ling chose to cut ties with Nevernight Palace afterward. 684 688 726

Over time, Ling became an ancient, independent Technologist and an A-rank Upper Tier. She created the Ultimate Power Wandering Night, whose development required the rare “coincidence” through which an advanced technological creation forms a soul-level bond with its controller. Her activities eventually ceased from public view, leaving the Wandering Night Angel as a legend on the Night Web. 640 769

While investigating Fang Ran's SSS-ranked ability, Ling used the Night Web to interfere with his Participant existence. The attempt backfired, trapping her soul data in a Xiao Mi power bank without an internet connection.
