Body Flicker Shisui

Hyuuga Nen blended in with the caravan, walking along as he observed his surroundings. Suddenly, he sensed something was wrong and realized that a large group was chasing them.

At the head of the crowd was Kakashi, with Konoha Ninja following behind him.

Behind the Konoha Ninja were shinobi from the Land of Wind and the Land of Earth. The two nations' shinobi followed Kakashi and his group, subtly closing in from both sides.

Hyuuga Nen sighed inwardly. He wasn't surprised they had caught up. After all, with help from the Hyuga Clan and other scout ninja, it wasn't hard to understand how the current Konoha team had found him.

Without the Konoha Ninja, Hyuuga Nen was confident he could shake off the other two great nations' shinobi. But the Konoha Ninja had arrived too quickly.

Seeing that shinobi from all three great nations had caught up, Hyuuga Nen made no rash move. Instead, he waited for an opportunity.

Hyuuga Nen knew that although the three nations' shinobi were holding back for now, a clash was inevitable. He could even fan the flames and make the conflict more intense.

"Stop and submit to an inspection." Kakashi blocked the caravan, his eyes cold as he looked at its members. He spoke in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Honored shinobi, didn't you already inspect us earlier? Why do it again? We're just ordinary merchants. We haven't done anything wrong. Please let us go!"

The caravan leader looked at Kakashi and the others pleadingly.

"Here! There's something strange about his face. It doesn't look like his real face!" a young member of the Hyuga Clan said, pointing at Hyuuga Nen.

After combining it with the Seal of Resilience, Hyuuga Nen's Transformation Technique had become very stable. Even members of the Hyuga Clan couldn't see his true appearance; they only sensed that the chakra on his face was abnormal.

"Move in! Seize him first," Kakashi shouted.

"Stop them! Quickly!" the shinobi from the Land of Wind and the Land of Earth yelled. Before he could finish speaking, they rushed forward to block the Konoha Ninja.

Since there were more Iwagakure and Sunagakure shinobi combined than Konoha Ninja, most of Konoha's forces were held back.

Shisui Uchiha broke through the blockade and faced Hyuuga Nen.

But the Root shinobi from Konoha didn't react to the situation. They simply watched in silence, neither attacking Hyuuga Nen nor helping the Konoha Ninja.

In the distance, several members of the Hyuga Clan tried to go forward and help, but they were ordered to stop.

"Without our instructions, you're not allowed to act on your own. Have you forgotten Lord Danzo's orders? You must follow our command!"

Hearing the Root shinobi's words, the members of the Hyuga Clan came to a reluctant halt. They clenched their fists, lowered their heads, and said unwillingly:

"Yes."

The Root shinobi had not only been ordered to retrieve the Byakugan; if possible, they were also to make sure Shisui Uchiha and Itachi Uchiha "died heroically." So the Root shinobi wouldn't help them.

Seeing the melee unfold, Hyuuga Nen simply undid his Sealing Technique and revealed his true appearance. He intended to provoke the shinobi on the battlefield further, making them fight harder and the situation more chaotic.

Looking at Hyuuga Nen in front of him, Shisui Uchiha's tone changed. "Who are you, really?" he asked as he attacked Hyuuga Nen.

Dodging the kunai and shuriken Shisui Uchiha had thrown to test him, Hyuuga Nen retreated, thinking about how to handle the crisis.

Hearing Shisui's question, Hyuuga Nen thought for a moment and decided to tell the truth.

"My name is Hyuuga Nen."

Hyuuga Nen gave his real name. At this point, he knew there was no point in continuing to hide it.

Hyuuga Nen also didn't think anyone could use his name alone to cast some kind of curse-like ninjutsu. At least, he had never heard of such a thing.

"Hyuuga Nen."

"You know that's not what I meant," Shisui Uchiha continued.

"My ancestor was indeed from the Hyuga Clan, but that was a long time ago. He wandered off to another place long before Konoha was founded. So I'm not one of your Konoha people at all. Have I made myself clear?"

Hyuuga Nen looked at Shisui Uchiha as he lied.

He said this to confuse Konoha and the Hyuga Clan. After all, he had already been forced to use a Sealing Technique in front of Konoha's people.

Following this lead, Konoha and the Hyuga Clan might suspect Hyuuga Nen's father, Hyuga Shun. No, they were very likely to suspect Hyuga Shun, since it was no secret that he had studied Sealing Techniques.

Hyuuga Nen's story had its flaws. If the Hyuga Clan had records of every member who had wandered away, they would realize he was lying!

Even though he might be exposed, Hyuuga Nen said it anyway. His main reason wasn't to protect himself, but to make his story confuse the Hyuga Clan for a while and keep them from investigating Hyuga Shun too soon.

Hyuuga Nen knew his plan involved a certain amount of luck, but he couldn't think of a better explanation in the short term.

Hyuuga Nen felt that his father's situation would soon become dire. His lie might buy him some time to struggle, but it wouldn't make things any worse for him.

"How do I know you're not lying?" Shisui Uchiha challenged Hyuuga Nen.

"Believe what you want." Hearing Shisui Uchiha's words, Hyuuga Nen deliberately put on an angry expression and charged at him.

"I already spared Kakashi and the others once. Keep pushing me, and don't expect me to show mercy." Hyuuga Nen spoke as he fought Shisui Uchiha.

"Maybe what you said is a lie, or maybe it's true. Either way, I hope you'll cooperate with us and come to Konoha. If you're telling the truth, I'm sure Konoha won't make things difficult for you."

"Hahahaha! Shisui Uchiha, don't you think what you said is hilarious? So Konoha's Body Flicker Shisui is actually this naive—or were you lying just now? Is the real you a hypocrite?"

Turning Shisui Uchiha's words against him, Hyuuga Nen struck back. If he had to grade his performance just now, he'd give himself nine out of ten.

For a moment, Hyuuga Nen had even felt like he was truly the descendant of a Hyuga who had wandered away from the clan.

"Since we can't come to an agreement, I'll have to use force to take you back to Konoha. If it turns out you were telling the truth, I'll apologize."

As he spoke, Shisui Uchiha began weaving Hand Seals. Soon, nearly ten clones appeared around him, then attacked Hyuuga Nen all at once.
