Uchiha Madara saw Senju Hashirama send his younger brother, Uchiha Izuna, into battle.

In the end, he merely snorted and said nothing more.

And just like that, the mortal enemies of the original story—

Uchiha Izuna and Senju Tobirama, now the best of friends, set off together to capture the Tailed Beasts.

In truth, defeating the Tailed Beasts wasn't difficult for the other nations. The hard part was figuring out how to kill them. Even if a Tailed Beast was killed, it could still revive after some time.

"Two-Tails, your power is too great! It's too dangerous to leave you in the Land of Lightning."

Senju Tobirama replied calmly to Matatabi.

Matatabi froze, unsure what Tobirama meant.

Tobirama threw a Shuriken at her.

In an instant, he used the Flying Thunder God Technique to teleport to Matatabi.

Before Matatabi could react, she had already been transported several kilometers away, to an uninhabited area.

Then Matatabi saw a pair of blood-red eyes: a Mangekyō Sharingan, with four small dots arranged around a small ring.

Senju Tobirama shouted and swiftly formed Hand Seals.

He created three clones, positioning them in the four cardinal directions. The Four Divine Beasts—Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise—appeared and sealed Matatabi inside a sealing scroll.

"So this is a Tailed Beast? It's nothing special."

Uchiha Izuna said dismissively.

"It's not that the Tailed Beasts are weak. We're just too strong.

Their power is still formidable to everyone else."

Senju Tobirama replied calmly.

"Haha, maybe!"

"Next up is the Eight-Tails!"

"Don't interfere yet. Let me play with the Eight-Tails for a while."

Uchiha Izuna said with a laugh.

About three days later,

Uchiha Izuna and Senju Tobirama found the Eight-Tails, Gyuki, in a primeval forest near the sea.

A gigantic octopus appeared before Uchiha Izuna and Senju Tobirama.

Compared to Matatabi, Gyuki was much more wary.

The moment he spotted Uchiha Izuna and Senju Tobirama,

the giant bull, its tail made of octopus tentacles, launched an attack at them.

The Eight-Tails spat out several Tailed Beast Bombs in succession, firing them at the two men.

The Tailed Beast Bombs struck the ground, instantly triggering an astonishing series of explosions.

Flames surged, fireballs rapidly swelled, and the blast waves swallowed everything around them.

The destructive force wiped out everything in its path like a barrage of missiles.

With that, Uchiha Izuna shouted.

all nine Tailed Beasts had been captured and brought to Konoha.

In the original story, Senju Hashirama captured eight of them while he was out on campaign.

This time, the Nine-Tails was the only one already in Konoha when Hashirama captured it during the village's founding. The other seven Tailed Beasts were captured by Uchiha Izuna, Senju Tobirama, and Uchiha Madara.

Why did Senju Hashirama want to capture the Tailed Beasts?

It was because the Tailed Beasts had many remarkable qualities.

1: Their immense chakra. This was the foundation of their power.

2: Their enormous bodies. This made the Tailed Beasts even harder to defeat.

3: They had souls and could speak. This gave humans a way to communicate with them.

4: A Tailed Beast's death wasn't permanent. Even if its soul and body were completely destroyed, an "element" would inevitably appear somewhere over time, allowing it to revive. No one knew how long that took or where the "element" would appear, but this meant the Tailed Beasts remained a constant threat.

5: They knew many secrets. Befriending a Tailed Beast would be an invisible treasure for any ninja.
