Inside Guy's Dojo.
Guy and Ryosuke had already begun their sparring session.
Today, Ryosuke had achieved a significant level of proficiency with the taijutsu he had copied using his Sharingan.
He was already at the point where he could occasionally counterattack Guy.
This made Guy smile even more happily.
However, just as Ryosuke was about to use the Hidden Lotus, his body suddenly went limp, and he plummeted straight toward the ground.
And Guy, that scatterbrain, didn't notice a thing.
"Haha, I've caught your opening!"
Not only that, but he even delivered a flying kick to give Ryosuke an extra boost.
Thud.
Ryosuke was driven headfirst into the floorboards.
"Hey, are you alright?"
Guy waited for a long time, but seeing that Ryosuke didn't make a sound, he finally realized something was wrong.
"Wah, my floor! It's going to cost quite a bit to repair this."
Guy was actually concerned about his floor first.
Only then did he pull Ryosuke out.
By this time, Ryosuke had already recovered from the injuries on his body.
However, he still felt somewhat fatigued.
This was mainly because the exhaustion from his Shadow Clone Technique would return to him once the clones were dispelled; naturally, the same applied to whatever had happened to the clones themselves.
"Guy-sensei, can't you pay attention to the situation? If it had been anyone else just now, they would have been sent straight to the hospital by that kick of yours."
Ryosuke stood up, wiped the dust off his face, and complained.
"Haha, of course I know that, but your physique is different from ordinary people, which is why I've been able to spar so enjoyably."
Guy patted Ryosuke on the shoulder, accidentally letting his true thoughts slip out.
The corner of Ryosuke's mouth twitched; only then did he realize that Guy had been treating him like a human punching bag.
"What happened just now?"
Guy grabbed a bottle of water from the side, handed it to Ryosuke, and asked.
"Nothing, I just suddenly lost focus."
Ryosuke didn't want to explain the Shadow Clone Technique to Guy.
But Guy said, "I can tell. It was caused by a shadow clone, right? You brat, you're actually using shadow clones to handle other matters while in the middle of training."
Ryosuke looked at Guy in surprise. Wasn't he supposed to be unable to use ninjutsu? How did he figure that out?
Seeming to notice Ryosuke's confusion, Guy said proudly, "Kakashi once used that move in front of me too, but I taught him a miserable lesson for it."
So that was the reason.
Ryosuke nodded.
"Guy-sensei, let's call it a day. I need to go back and tend to my injuries."
Ryosuke pointed to his already-healed wounds as he spoke.
"Aren't those already healed?"
Guy scratched his head, puzzled.
"Guy-sensei, if you see through something, don't point it out. Can't you pay attention to the tone of someone's voice?"
Ryosuke said, feeling a headache coming on.
"Ahaha, alright then. My training for today is about done anyway. I'll use the remaining time to go find Kakashi and challenge him. I've had some new realizations over the past two days; maybe I can finally beat him."
Guy clenched his fists as he spoke.
He seemed to never be discouraged.
"Good luck."
Ryosuke took a shower inside the dojo and then left.
Based on the conversation between his shadow clone and Danzo, he could see that the old fox coveted the Sharingan.
The so-called protection of the village was likely just an excuse.
But how could he prove his value to Danzo and infiltrate the ranks of Root?
That way, he could keep track of Danzo's movements.
Perhaps that would never be possible; after all, he was a member of the Uchiha clan.
At this point, had Danzo already tried to recruit Shisui and Itachi?
That's right, Shisui.
Ryosuke suddenly thought of something and immediately ran toward the training ground outside the village.
Because of him, the timeline had already begun to change.
Ryosuke could not sit idly by and watch Shisui have his eye stolen by Danzo again.
But when he arrived at the training ground, he did not find Shisui.
"Teacher Shisui, where are you?"
Ryosuke walked over to the wooden stakes, hoping to find some clues.
"What's wrong? Ryosuke, are you looking for me?"
Shisui suddenly appeared on top of the wooden stake. Could he actually use invisibility?
[Ding, B-rank ninjutsu, Water Style: Hidden Mist Technique, detected and recorded.]
This was another ninjutsu Ryosuke had never heard of. It was only recorded, however, and since he had not mastered water-attribute chakra, he could only use it once.
"Teacher Shisui, you know Danzo, right?"
Ryosuke quickly pulled himself together and asked Shisui.
"Lord Danzo? What about him?"
Shisui wore a rare, serious expression.
"Nothing, I just wanted to hear your opinion of him, Teacher Shisui."
Ryosuke explained.
"Lord Danzo is a disciple of the Second Hokage and the leader of the Anbu Root. He has devoted himself entirely to the village, though his methods are perhaps not entirely honorable."
Shisui was unwilling to say much more.
Ryosuke nodded; this was about the same as the information he already had.
Shisui had once sought out Danzo in an attempt to stop the Uchiha clan's rebellion, only to have one of his Sharingan gouged out as a result.
This was precisely because he had believed Danzo could resolve the matter.
"Teacher Shisui, if the Uchiha clan and the village were to have a falling out, which side would you stand on?"
Ryosuke asked suddenly.
"Ryosuke? Do you know what you're saying?"
Shisui's gaze turned stern.
"I know. Even though I'm a child, I can still feel it. The way the children and adults in the village look at me—or rather, at all the members of the Uchiha clan—is different. Besides, I attended the clan's shrine meeting yesterday."
Ryosuke did not back down because of Shisui's attitude.
Shisui sighed and placed a hand on Ryosuke's shoulder.
"It's been hard on you, but you must trust the Third Hokage and trust Lord Fugaku. They will resolve this matter. Furthermore, maintaining the peace of the village is our responsibility; you just need to grow up happily."
Shisui said gently.
Ryosuke dared not continue. He was genuinely worried that Shisui might use Kotoamatsukami on him to change his way of thinking.
"I understand, Teacher Shisui."
"Very well, let me see the results of your training with Teacher Guy over the past two days."
Shisui drew a kunai and said with a smile.
Ryosuke nodded, and then two shadows collided in mid-air.
By the afternoon.
Sanhe and Miyuki arrived at the training ground.
"So they really are here. It's a rare day off and they're still training; they really don't value their lives," Sanhe remarked.
"Sanhe, aren't you here too? It seems you still can't forget about being saved by Ryosuke," Miyuki said with a smile.
"Enough, Miyuki. I really want to sew your mouth shut."
After saying this, Sanhe tied on his ninja headband, shouted "I'm coming," and joined the fray.
But he was quickly beaten black and blue and tossed out.
"Damn it, these two freaks. How are their moves so fast? Even my Sharingan can't keep up."
Sanhe complained, clutching his face.
