Ryosuke knew that no matter how he answered, it was already irrelevant.
Given Danzo's personality, unless he could kill him right here and now, Danzo would never give up on the Sharingan.
And this war was the perfect opportunity for him.
"Yes, Lord Danzo, I understand. However, what benefits will this bring me?"
Ryosuke was not willing to be a mere tool, especially under such high-risk circumstances.
As for how things would eventually unfold, he truly couldn't say for sure right now.
After all, this was war, and he couldn't guarantee that Sanhe and Miyuki wouldn't run into trouble.
The same went for Shisui.
Since the Cloud Ninja dared to launch a war against Konoha, they would naturally take the power of the Uchiha Clan into account.
Do not forget that the Second Hokage died at the hands of the Cloud Ninja.
And even if they didn't run into trouble, Danzo would likely stir up some trouble himself.
Danzo stared at Ryosuke, seemingly surprised by his words.
After all, within Root, no one dared to defy his will, let alone negotiate terms with him.
"What do you want?"
Danzo did not offer benefits directly, but instead asked in return.
"I want to take a look inside the Forbidden Jutsu Room, or perhaps Lord Danzo could guide my training for a period of time."
Ryosuke said, unhurried.
Konoha's Forbidden Jutsu Room listed all the S-rank ninjutsu from the village's founding to the present, including high-level ninjutsu Konoha had obtained from other places over the years.
In the original timeline, Naruto had stolen a forbidden scroll from the Forbidden Jutsu Room, which allowed him to learn the S-rank ninjutsu that would become his signature: the Multi-Shadow Clone Technique.
If Ryosuke could obtain this opportunity legitimately, then with his Sharingan and the system's capabilities, he could fully master a large number of high-level ninjutsu in a very short time.
As for having Danzo guide his training, this was also the best method Ryosuke could think of for mastering ninjutsu shape transformation at the moment.
One had to know that Danzo's Wind Style ninjutsu was considered top-tier in the ninja world.
Although Danzo might not teach him wholeheartedly, as long as he could grasp a few tricks, it would be invaluable to Ryosuke.
"Lord Danzo."
Two Root members beside Danzo immediately stepped forward, appearing to feel that Ryosuke's request was far too rude.
However, Danzo reached out a hand to stop them.
"Very well. If you can bring me back a Sharingan, I can consider your conditions."
"No, Lord Danzo, 'considering' is not enough. I want you to make a promise."
Ryosuke insisted.
"Uchiha brat, don't push your luck."
The Root member from the Yamanaka Clan said sharply.
His orange hair was very conspicuous, allowing Ryosuke to recognize him at a glance.
But Ryosuke didn't even look at him, continuing instead to address Danzo: "The Sharingan is an important weapon of the Uchiha Clan. If other clansmen discover I have done such a thing, they will surely expel me from the Uchiha. Therefore, I don't think my conditions are excessive."
Danzo narrowed his eyes, staring at Ryosuke as if weighing something.
A moment later, he spoke: "I can agree to your request, but first, you must obtain what I want."
"Deal."
After saying this, Ryosuke turned and left.
Once Ryosuke's figure had completely disappeared, the Root member from the Yamanaka Clan said, "Lord Danzo, why did you agree to that brat's request? If you wanted a Sharingan, why not just take action just now?"
Danzo glared at him and said, "These are extraordinary times; how could I possibly do such a thing?"
"Besides, his eyes only have two tomoe and lack special ocular power; they don't meet my requirements at all."
"Yes, I understand."
Danzo and his party soon left the forest as well.
Ryosuke returned to Sasuke's house via a different route.
However, just as he walked beneath the second-floor window, he detected a terrifying aura at the entrance.
"You're back?"
Uchiha Fugaku's eyes glinted in the dim light.
"Clan Head."
Ryosuke felt his scalp tingle.
He only then realized his own carelessness. This was the Uchiha clan's territory; how could members of Root enter and exit without being discovered?
Uchiha Fugaku glanced at Ryosuke and said, "Go back and rest. Don't go out at night anymore; it's not safe."
With that, he turned and headed back into the house first.
Ryosuke let out a sigh of relief, though he felt a flicker of confusion.
Why didn't Fugaku ask him what he had been doing out?
Or did he already know everything and simply chose not to expose it?
Ryosuke suppressed the doubts in his heart, jumped onto the windowsill, and returned to Sasuke's room.
Sasuke was sleeping soundly, calling out his and Itachi's names in his dreams.
After lying down, Ryosuke sorted through the events of the day, yet many questions remained unanswered.
However, he soon drifted off to sleep.
"Brother Ryosuke, wake up."
Early the next morning, Ryosuke was woken up by Sasuke once again.
"We're going to be late; there's no time for a rebellion."
Sasuke brought over Ryosuke's clothes and urged him on.
"I know."
Ryosuke and Sasuke ran out of the house together, leaving Mikoto's calls behind them as she failed to catch up.
After dropping Sasuke off at school, Ryosuke headed to the training grounds outside the village.
He didn't know where to find Shisui, Sanhe, or Miyuki.
Generally, teammates would share their home addresses with one another.
But the Uchiha clan was an exception.
Fortunately, Sanhe and Miyuki arrived at the training grounds shortly after.
Neither of them was wearing the signature Uchiha clan attire, having changed into green ninja uniforms instead.
"Don't tell me you really only have that one set of clothes? Didn't you earn a lot of money from the last mission?"
Sanhe looked at Ryosuke's outfit and couldn't help but tease him.
"It's unnecessary."
Ryosuke couldn't be bothered to engage with him.
"Ryosuke-kun, are you confident?"
Miyuki looked at Ryosuke with a serious expression and asked.
"Confident in what?"
"The mission this time, of course. We're going up against the Cloud Ninja's Anbu."
Miyuki's voice dropped.
For once, Sanhe didn't interrupt.
"Don't be so pessimistic. The Third Hokage isn't deranged enough to send us to our deaths. I suspect our opponents won't be numerous, and besides, we have Shisui-sensei..."
Before Ryosuke could finish his sentence, Miyuki interrupted him.
"Ryosuke-kun, we're teammates, right?"
Ryosuke looked at her without answering, as he didn't understand what she meant by that.
"I know that even though you're young, Ryosuke-kun, your strength is far greater than ours. Even the Clan Head speaks highly of you. My parents say you're a genius ninja on par with Itachi and Shisui-sensei."
"So, I want to ask you: if it becomes necessary, please lend us a hand."
After saying this, Miyuki actually bowed to Ryosuke.
"Miyuki, what are you doing? Why are you asking him? I don't think he's any better than me."
Sanhe immediately jumped up.
