Uzumaki Mito had long noticed that perhaps because of their powerful constitutions, the Senju Clan were all stubborn people who refused to listen to others.

The most classic example was the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama.

Senju Hashirama clearly possessed the greatest power, yet he did not know how to wield it.

Instead, he bowed his head and begged the other ninja villages.

He even gave away the important Tailed Beasts he had collected.

At the time, Uzumaki Mito thought the idea was incredibly foolish. She had tried to persuade Senju Hashirama, but he refused to listen at all.

Uzumaki Mito settled for the next best thing and hoped Senju Hashirama could give one Tailed Beast to the Village Hidden in the Whirlpools.

But Senju Hashirama rejected the proposal, claiming that as Hokage, he could not act out of personal interest.

Even though Sunagakure already had the One-Tail and did not need another Tailed Beast, he still refused to give the extra ones to the Village Hidden in the Whirlpools.

Senju Hashirama naively believed Konoha had enough power to protect the Village Hidden in the Whirlpools. In the end, thirty years later, the Village Hidden in the Whirlpools was destroyed after being besieged by several major ninja villages.

Because of this incident, Uzumaki Mito saw Senju Hashirama's true nature clearly.

Everyone said Senju Hashirama was the God of Shinobi, that he possessed the greatest power and was exceptionally great.

But in truth, he was not strong at all.

His power was something he had been born with; it was his talent, not his own ability.

He himself was incredibly foolish, completely wasting that power.

Because of the consequences he had sown, he caused the deaths of the Village Hidden in the Whirlpools and the Senju Clan.
