"Whoa!"
"Whoa!"
After returning from a tour of the territory, Liszt saw Zyra teasing Dousen. This lively Little Elf likes to fly around the castle and has a very domineering temper. Anyone who dares to stand in its way will be beaten with fists.
It also sows seeds.
This should be considered a kind of "wood-based" or "nature-based" magic, capable of rapidly germinating seeds and then entangling people. What grows appears to be Fast-Growing Thorn, with enormous wooden spikes capable of killing a person—of course, it has never killed anyone, Liszt forbade it from scattering seeds indiscriminately.
This magic looks terrifying, but it can only be used against ordinary people.
A knight with battle aura can easily use it to destroy the germination of a seed.
Therefore, the fighting power of Little Elf is generally very weak, almost non-existent—even an ordinary person, in a fit of rage, could catch it off guard and kill it.
Zyra, however, did not consider herself weak. Her domineering temper remained unchanged, and then, naturally, she encountered another hot-tempered fellow— Dousen.
When Dousen first saw Zyra, he was very curious and wanted to stick out his tongue to lick Zyra's smooth and glistening skin.
Unexpectedly, this enraged Zyra, who unleashed a torrent of seeds, startling Dousen. Unable to activate his magic, he could only watch Bramble as the thorns bound him, causing him to howl in pain. But being a tough, mid-level magical beast, he survived the pain without sustaining any serious injuries.
After shaking off the Bramble, he chased after Zyra everywhere.
A little guy and a big guy, and thus began their feud. Every time they met, they would start fighting, with no possibility of peaceful coexistence. A few days later, Dousen was the first to back down. His magic couldn't harm Zyra, and he couldn't fly, so he could only be kited by Zyra —or perhaps he was letting Zyra win, knowing that Zyra and Liszt had a good relationship.
However, Zyra didn't let it off the hook, always finding excuses to tease and provoke it.
Sow a handful of seeds, encourage them to sprout, and give Dousen a bondage art session.
When Liszt returned.
Just then, Zyra Dousen Dousen again, covering him in Bramble. The Bramble quickly sprouted and grew around Dousen's body, soon turning the Big Black into a big green dog.
Dousen didn't react at all.
It merely barked weakly at Liszt, "Woof woof."
" Zyra, stop!" Liszt glared at the Thorn Sprite, which reluctantly stopped activating its Bramble and landed directly on Liszt's head.
I yawned, and decided to go to sleep.
Liszt didn't stand on ceremony, pulling Zyra off and handing her to Thomas: "Put her in the jade box and send her to sleep in the insect room."
"Whoa!"
"Whoa!"
Zyra refused.
Liszt glared again, communicating telepathically to make it understand that resistance would result in a beating. This time, the Thorn Sprite obediently lay down in the jade box, preparing to sleep—sprites spend most of their time sleeping, after all, their true form is a Bug Grass.
Tear off the Bramble covering you.
Dousen lay on the ground, looking very aggrieved, expressing his pitifulness to Liszt.
"A mid-level magical beast that can't even beat Little Elf? It's utterly useless!" Liszt lightly kicked it. "Let's go, go complain to your wife... I'll take you to the dog farm first."
At the dog farm, after a hard-fought battle, Dousen successfully regained his energetic nature.
But Liszt had some regrets.
Old Defoe, the dog farm manager, shook his head and said, "My lord, I'm afraid Dousen isn't capable of getting these female wolfhounds pregnant. Under normal mating conditions, several female dogs are in heat and should easily be pregnant with puppies. But there's been no sign of it at all."
"Never mind if you don't have them, just take good care of them."
Ordinary low-level magical beasts can usually mate with wild beasts of the same kind. However, by the time they reach mid-level magical beasts, their bloodlines have mutated more, and they have developed reproductive isolation.
At the very least, Dousen must have developed reproductive isolation from the wolfhound.
"Thank goodness the Earth Wife is here." Seeing Dousen and the Earth Wife being affectionate and lovey-dovey together, Liszt's slight regret quickly turned into anticipation.
Looking forward to the future army of Violent Earth Dog: "I just wonder if Dousen and the Earth Wife's offspring will be mid-level or low-level magical beasts."
Thinking of this, he suddenly remembered that ever since he came to Flower Town...
The town has entered its breeding season—after the townspeople's lives have become more stable, more and more people are choosing to have children; the Earth Wife is pregnant, the cow is pregnant, the Fire Dragon Horse is pregnant, Fruit-Stealing Monkey is pregnant; Gortai's lover Freya's belly is getting bigger and bigger, and it is said that Marcus is also busy fighting with his wife.
It seems like I'm the only one still single.
He shook his head.
Liszt stopped his wild thoughts and continued to tame the Earth Wife, using dried meat to lure Earth Wife into obeying his commands.
The study was brightly lit by a crystal chandelier.
Several chivalric romance novels were laid out on the table, Liszt was casually flipping through them, occasionally jotting something down on a Parchment.
A knock on the door.
Carter walked in carrying a cup of milk tea. "Sir, Mrs. Morson made this milk tea, I've put it on the table for you."
Liszt didn't look up, continuing to write and draw, "Okay."
"Mr. Bunir would like to update you on the progress of the Flower Soap making."
"Please let him in."
A moment later, Bunir the Poison Egg was led into the study by Carter. Knowing that Liszt disliked idle talk, he bowed and said directly, "My lord, I have completed the modification process for the Flower Soap and it can be put into mass production. At the current speed of the soap workshop, with a sufficient supply of raw materials, we can produce fifty bars of Flower Soap a day."
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's start full-scale production tomorrow!"
After dismissing Bunir, Liszt summoned Shylock from the Thorn Caravan: "Have you tried the Flower Soap from the soap workshop?"
"Not yet, my lord."
"The effect is very good. You can try it once and then summarize its benefits. I will give you a batch of Flower Soap. You will take the Flower Soap and give them away for free to all the nobles in North Valley City so that they can all understand the benefits of Flower Soap. After that, you and Harpagon will work together to develop a sales plan for the Flower Soap."
"Please rest assured, my lord, Shylock knows what he must do."
Liszt took a sip of the second cup of freshly brewed milk tea. "I have high hopes for Flower Soap. I hope you can quickly penetrate the market, completely squeeze out ordinary soap, and eventually monopolize the soap market on Coral Island."
Shylock hesitated, as if he wanted to say something.
Liszt gestured for him to speak freely.
"My lord, the soap business has always been a major business for Baron Henderson of Snake Spear City. Selling Flower Soap will inevitably impact Baron Henderson. Should we speak to him about this?"
If Liszt's memory serves him correctly, Baron Henderson has already gone to the battlefield with the Earl.
Even if the other party hadn't gone to the battlefield, Liszt had no need to worry about him. He was the son of an earl, and he conducted business through legitimate means; no one dared to say anything. If Baron Henderson went bankrupt because of this, it was due to his poor management of his territory, not Liszt's fault.
That's strange. Liszt isn't afraid at all. If he dares to come, Liszt dares to send Dousen Hiddleston.
certainly.
Leaving no way out is a bit excessive.
After all, Henderson had rendered service to the Tulip Family, Liszt felt it was possible to develop him into a raw material supplier for Flower Town: " Shylock, coordinate with Harpagon, and when Flower Soap has crushed Henderson's business and he's desperate, tell him that he can supply soap powder exclusively to Flower Town."
