Tom Marvolo Riddle was born to Merope Gaunt, a descendant of Slytherin, after she was abandoned by the Muggle she had ensnared with Amortentia. Merope died in a London slum after naming her child, leaving Tom to grow up at Wool's Orphanage. 106 561
