For example, when he drew a new golden card and summoned a Cat Eared figure, he immediately informed Ti Bao and sought her help in executing a trap 44.

Bai E

Bai E was Ye Qiong’s first and most prominent Golden Descendant student, a relationship marked by mentorship and high expectations. Ye Qiong personally guided Bai E’s development, assigning him team captain in the Star Dou Great Forest and ensuring he obtained a five-thousand-year third spirit ring with Ti Bao’s assistance 8 12. Ye Qiong expressed pride in Bai E’s accomplishments and entrusted him with important tasks, such as leading the student group during missions 12. In return, Bai E demonstrated absolute loyalty and respect, defending Ye Qiong’s actions to outsiders like the Shrek group 11. Ye Qiong even refined a special pill from immortal herbs for Bai E, hinting at a deeper personal connection beyond mere instruction 19. Bai E, for his part, felt a mysterious familiarity with Ye Qiong, as if they had known each other before 5.

Mimi / Cyrene

Mimi was Ye Qiong’s second martial soul, a small, fluffy creature that emerged after he absorbed Cyrene’s mysterious memory seed 35. Their relationship was deeply affectionate and companionable. Mimi exhibited playful, happy behavior around Ye Qiong, flying around him and chirping “Mi~mi!” while nuzzling his fingers 35. Ye Qiong, in turn, showed patience and protectiveness, vowing never to let her leave his side again 35. He treated Mimi as a cherished partner, poking her forehead and smiling at her antics 35 38. Though Mimi was initially juvenile and could not yet attach spirit rings, Ye Qiong clearly regarded her with joy and care, and she became a constant presence at the academy, even sleeping near him 35 38.

After absorbing five great ferocious beast soul rings, Mimi evolved into Cyrene’s humanoid form 107 108. Ye Qiong and Cyrene thereafter act as intimate partners, jointly confronting soul beasts, investigating the Far North, and entering the Abyssal Plane 116 118 127. Their affection is especially apparent in their quiet life in Dragon City, where they wake together and discuss retrieving the remaining Dragon King bones 110. Cyrene supports Ye Qiong’s plans and powerful displays, while Ye Qiong remains determined to protect her from the causal fate that once took her away 110 117.

Aglaia

Aglaia was a student of Omphalos Academy whom Ye Qiong trusted with sensitive missions. He tasked her with watching a trap in Star Luo City, using her understanding of his plan to await a cat-eared thief in a tailor shop 44. Ye Qiong’s confidence in her judgment was evident, and Aglaia responded with loyalty and competence, engaging the thief in conversation when she arrived 44. Their interactions were businesslike but underscored by mutual reliability; Ye Qiong praised her in other contexts, such as during spirit fights 40.

Dugu Bo

Ye Qiong’s relationship with Dugu Bo began as a bitter rivalry over the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well. Ye Qiong defeated the Poison Duke in the Sunset Forest and took the opportunity within the spring, humiliating Dugu Bo and provoking resentment from both him and Dugu Yan 16 19 36. Their hostility intensified when Ye Qiong intervened during Dugu Bo’s confrontation with the Golden Iron Triangle and defeated all parties present while preventing Tang San from obtaining his opportunity 42 43. Dugu Bo later joined Tang San, Shrek Academy, the Dragon Duke, and other aggrieved parties in an alliance against Ye Qiong and Omphalos Academy 43.

Shrek Academy Members (Tang San, Xiao Wu, Zhao Wuji, Flender)

Ye Qiong was an overarching antagonist to the Shrek Academy group, particularly Tang San and Xiao Wu. He deliberately undermined Tang San’s opportunities, such as knocking him unconscious during a poison trial to “sever his opportunity” per his system mission 42. This incident enraged Flender and the rest of Shrek, who saw Ye Qiong as a bully and a threat 43. Xiao Wu, in particular, harbored a deep grudge: she learned that Ye Qiong was responsible for the death of the Azure Bull Python (Da Ming), a hundred-thousand-year soul beast and her kin, and she vowed to become strong enough to kill him 12 10. Tang San similarly viewed Ye Qiong with hostility after witnessing his overwhelming power and spirit ring configuration, which contradicted his teacher’s teachings 12. Zhao Wuji actively sought confrontation, allying with other aggrieved parties to oppose Ye Qiong 12. Despite their mutual antagonism, Ye Qiong regarded them with dismissive confidence, seeing his role as “suppressing the protagonists” 12.

The conflict continued to escalate as Ye Qiong obstructed Tang San’s effort to gain the Strength Clan’s support, using surveillance, business pressure, and Xue Qinghe’s political assistance rather than a direct confrontation 50 51. Following Tang San’s corruption by Overflowing Hatred, Ye Qiong defeated him, had Phainon destroy his cultivation, and ordered Tang San and the resisting Tang Clan members taken for execution 148 150.

Qian Renxue (Disguised as Xue Qinghe)

Ye Qiong’s interaction with the Heaven Dou Crown Prince (secretly the Saintess Qian Renxue) was initially brief but tense. She visited Omphalos Academy to recruit him as a staff member, offering generous resources and political influence. Ye Qiong declined, citing his commitment to his students and the academy. The exchange was polite but underscored Qian Renxue’s cunning and Ye Qiong’s refusal to be swayed by external offers 41.

Despite this refusal, Ye Qiong later sought Xue Qinghe’s help in temporarily removing Tai Tan from the Strength Clan so that Tang San could be prevented from securing the clan’s allegiance. Qian Renxue immediately deduced Tang San was the intended target, establishing a more politically cooperative relationship 50. After Qian Daoliu entered negotiations with Ye Qiong, Qian Renxue openly disclosed her true identity to Amphoreus’s members and became central to Ye Qiong’s long-term plan to reshape the continent 113 114. She eventually ascended the Heaven Dou throne before leaving behind a substitute and returning to Spirit Hall for divine trials 145.

Ning Fengzhi and the Seven Treasures Glazed Sect Elders

Ye Qiong maintained a respectful and familial bond with his uncle Ning Fengzhi and the sect’s titled Douluo, Chen Xin and Gu Rong. Ning Fengzhi expressed pride in Ye Qiong’s growth, and the two sparred in a friendly competition to test his strength 41. Ye Qiong also honored Ning Fengzhi’s past kindness, notably sparing Ning Rongrong despite her provocations, and accepting the annulment of the marriage contract without rancor 2 42. Chen Xin and Gu Rong treated him with competitive respect, eager to measure his abilities 41.

Their support later became more direct when Chen Xin and Ning Fengzhi intervened against Spirit Hall’s Title Douluo, with Chen Xin declaring that Ye Qiong could not be bullied 90. Ye Qiong remained grateful for their support but attempted to prevent them from becoming overly entangled in the conflict surrounding Omphalos Academy 91.

Castorice

Castorice is one of Ye Qiong’s students whose initially formal relationship with him developed into a clear romantic undercurrent. She visited his office late at night under the pretext of seeking cultivation guidance, but her blushing, hesitant behavior revealed her nervous attachment to him 71. Ye Qiong showed a notably gentle side during the meeting, carefully answering her questions rather than dismissing her anxiety 71.

Her feelings became more explicit after Ye Qiong asked her to write about herself. Castorice agreed in embarrassment, accidentally left her notebook in his office, and later collided with him while hurriedly returning for it 82. Ye Qiong recognizes her feelings but remains hesitant to fully reciprocate because of his broader responsibilities and ambitions 82. After the founding of the Amphoreus Empire, Castorice was among those invited by Ye Qiong to spend an intimate evening with him and Cyrene 150.

Spirit Hall

Ye Qiong’s relationship with Spirit Hall progressed from diplomatic refusal to open conflict and finally a conditional alliance. He rejected Hu Liena’s offer on Bibi Dong’s behalf to absorb Omphalos Academy and make him a Guest Elder, correctly anticipating that Bibi Dong would subsequently use external pressure against the academy 47. Spirit Hall proceeded with qualification reviews, resource pressure, and staged Soul Fighting Arena challenges, but these attempts only strengthened Omphalos Academy’s official standing 47 49.

Bibi Dong eventually escalated to attacks on Ye Qiong’s students and a direct confrontation, leading Ye Qiong to defeat ten Title Douluo, destroy Spirit Hall, and temporarily kill her with One Strike Settles Heaven and Earth 90 100. Qian Daoliu then negotiated with Ye Qiong, agreeing to cooperate against the Abyss threat and later discussing Spirit Hall’s role in Ye Qiong’s plan to unify the continent 100 113 114. Although Ye Qiong accepted Spirit Hall’s continued religious legacy, he insisted that it abandon control over secular government 114.

Gu Yuena and the Soul Beasts

Ye Qiong approached the Silver Dragon King, Gu Yuena, seeking cooperation to locate powerful soul beasts and obtain sufficient power to resist greater threats. Gu Yuena instead attempted to kill him and seize his Dragon King bones, ordering the five great ferocious beasts to attack 106 107. Ye Qiong defeated all five with Ten Thousand Clubs, Descend from Heaven and permitted Gu Yuena to preserve her true spirit in exchange for her sacrifice 107.

The resulting soul rings were given to Mimi, directly triggering her evolution into Cyrene 108. Ye Qiong later used Cyrene’s strength, the million-year ring, and the authority represented by his dragon bones to force the Ice Empress and Snow Empress into submission, ordering them to search the Far North for the Dragon Kings of Time and Light 117 118. The Ice God subsequently recognized him as the new master of the dragon clan 119 126.

Firefly

After returning to the Astral Express and entering Penacony, Ye Qiong encountered Firefly while she was pursued by the Hound Family as a suspected stowaway. Although he knew from his memories that she was secretly the Stellaron Hunter Sam, he instinctively intervened and declared that protecting beautiful girls was his duty 153. The encounter unsettled him because his foreknowledge of her story could not lessen the emotional impact of meeting her in person 153. His concern for Firefly remained strong after later learning from Silver Wolf that she was safe in a medical pod 160.
