Background / History
Tang San arrived in Notting City with Old Jack as a child. When the Great Ming Empire's envoy passed through the city, he refused to kneel, maintaining that he was a Heaven Dou citizen with no duty to salute another state. After catching a guard's whip with his Mysterious Jade Hand, he was kicked down by the envoy's black-robed bodyguard. 85
His father, Tang Hao, entrusted Yu Xiaogang with Tang San's care and left a Clear Sky Sect token for him. Tang Hao instructed that Tang San should return to the Clear Sky Sect once he was strong enough to attach entirely black, ten-thousand-year soul rings to his second martial soul. 96
Tang San was raised and trained by Yu Xiaogang at Nuoding Junior Soul Master Academy. At age eight, he represented the Heaven Dou Empire in the Youth Potential Cup, where he established himself as a leading young control-type Soul Master despite the perceived weakness of Blue Silver Grass. 124
Following the Continent Cup controversy and his severe injury, Tang San received treatment in the Heaven Dou Imperial Medical Academy. During recovery, he broke through to level 23 and involuntarily exposed his second martial soul, the Clear Sky Hammer. 140
He later sought answers about his family at Moonlight Pavilion, where he reunited with his aunt, Tang Yuehua, and discovered that Tang Hao was alive but mentally unstable. Tang Hao attacked him during their reunion and no longer remembered him. 148 149 150
Personality
Tang San is proud, stubborn, and unwilling to submit to authority he does not recognize. His refusal to kneel before the Great Ming envoy as a child reflects both his confidence and his inflexibility. 85
In battle, he is adaptable and determined. He relies on tactics, movement techniques, and hidden weapons when his Blue Silver Grass is at a disadvantage, though this reliance led to accusations of cheating during the Continent Cup. 124 133 137
He is intensely protective of Xiao Wu and repeatedly prioritizes her safety, including rushing after her in the Star Dou Forest and seeking the Man Faced Demon Spider soul ring in order to find her. 136 189 203
Appearance
Tang San was a thin, small child when he came to Moonlight Pavilion, noticeably less physically developed than children raised within the Clear Sky Sect. 148

Abilities & Skills

- Second Soul Skill: Parasitism — Causes scattered Blue Silver Grass to grow wildly around a target; its paralysis toxin immobilized Zhi Changqing. 124
- Uses the martial soul's rapid growth and tenacious vitality to compensate for its lower quality compared with stronger plant-type martial souls. 124
- His Blue Silver Grass is vulnerable to strong fire attributes and higher-grade martial souls. 132 133
Clear Sky Hammer
Tang San possesses the Clear Sky Hammer as his second martial soul, an inheritance tied to Tang Hao and the Clear Sky Sect. 96 140

- Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track — High-speed movement technique used against Zhi Changqing and while traveling to Moonlight Pavilion. 124 148
Hidden Weapons
