Background

Forty-two years before the events at Acropolis Port, Rona was the sole survivor of a pirate attack on her village. Eight-year-old Rona was saved by Magnus, then an adventurer known as the “White Wolf,” after he fought the attackers alone. She later followed his career and intended to join his adventurer’s guild, only to see it disappear and be replaced by the White Wolf Pirates. 109

Rona joined the Marines, initially admiring Magnus while pursuing justice against pirates. Her fascination became a decades-long pursuit after Magnus became a pirate; she advanced from an ordinary officer through lieutenant and captain before becoming one of the Marines’ three Admirals. 24 29

Rona arrives in Elbaf while following CP agents and unexpectedly finds Magnus. She attacks him to capture him, confident that his age has diminished his strength. Their battle devastates parts of Elbaf and ends with both heavily injured; Rona leaves rather than force a fight to the death. 23 24 26 27

After returning to her warship injured, Rona admits to herself that she is obsessed with capturing Magnus. She vows to fight him seriously in the future. 29

Sphinx and the Elbaf Conquest
