Xiang Qian questioned the Ancient One about Eternity’s motives and learned that the Quantum Realm could shield events from cosmic beings. He confirmed Kang the Conqueror’s identity, killed him with White Magic, and sent the Rune couple home after using Kang’s blood in a spell.
Xiang Qian entered Muspelheim and found Hela imprisoned there, then used the Mind Stone and Hell’s source power to reach her and send a signal to Death. He challenged Death to kill him or interfere with Eternity’s plan.
Xiang Hou questioned Death about Eternity’s plans for the universe inside his soul and whether Eternity feared total annihilation. Death revealed that Eternity’s personality was contending with him across the universe and that Xiang Hou might be a fragment of Eternity’s consciousness, leaving Xiang Hou seeking to understand Eternity’s intentions before choosing what to do.
Death explained that Eternity planned to preserve his individual identity through the universe’s annihilation and seize the power of the next Eternity. Xiang Qian recognized that stopping the plan could require him to become the Soul Universe’s Creator God, but the consequences of hastening the universe’s destruction left him weighing his own interests against the lives that would be lost.
Xiang Qian questioned the origin of his aversion to Divinity while Death watched through Hela, then used a fire dragon’s enraged soul to probe and break through his Soul Realm. A familiar figure with Xiang Qian’s face emerged from the breach, and Xiang Qian greeted him with resignation.
Xiang Qian confronted the hidden alternate personality within his consciousness and learned how it had separated itself from the malice personality. As Xiang Qian prepared a spell to eliminate it, the alternate insisted it knew no more about Eternity’s influence than he did.
After cutting away a damaged part of his soul, Xiang Qian tried to negotiate with Death over how to stop Eternity without surrendering his independent personality. The five-minute window was nearly over, and they remained deadlocked over whether to awaken Eternity’s original Divinity or seek another solution.
Death left to search for Eternity's Divinity after warning Xiang Qian that he was running out of time. Eternity then attacked Xiang Qian and erased Muspelheim, leaving Xiang Qian resisting the spacetime rules while he tried to uncover Eternity's plan.
Eternity tried to erase Xiang Qian and his Magic Small World across every level of existence, but Xiang Qian joined forces with Jean Grey and the Phoenix Force to transform the world and resist. Eternity was forced to start its assault over as their clash threatened the surrounding space-time.
Xiang Qian, Jean, and Wanda resisted Eternity as Wanda’s Chaos Magic disrupted his control of space-time. Eternity offered to preserve Xiang Qian and his loved ones in a new universe, but Xiang Qian remained determined to fight for the chance to awaken Eternity’s divinity.
Eternity tried to kill Xiang Qian by distorting spacetime and forcing the universe toward chaos, while blocking Death from intervening. Xiang Qian summoned Magik to bring Death’s power back, halting Eternity’s process and revealing that he had anticipated the individual personality’s selfishness.
Xiang Qian confronted Eternity after emerging from the Quantum Realm, where he and his allies had used the time dilation to improve their abilities. Eternity began compressing galaxies into a localized cosmic collapse, forcing Xiang Qian into a dangerous contest that could also disrupt the multiverse’s timeline.
Xiang Qian’s gamble against Eternity’s Personality Aspect reached its turning point when Eternity’s Divinity awakened and reclaimed its authority. Death arrived through Magik, and together she and Divinity defeated the Personality Aspect, leaving it as a feeble consciousness in Eternity’s palm.
Eternity returned Xiang Qian’s body and the independent Soul Universe to him after Xiang Qian proposed a way to contain future Personality Aspects. Death recognized the plan’s potential but questioned whether Xiang Qian could be trusted with them, leaving the agreement unresolved.
Xiang Qian defended his right to oversee the Soul Universe, and Eternity affirmed that his choices had thwarted the personality aspect’s plan. After Death and Eternity departed, Eternity gave Xiang Qian information about the universe that had existed before the Soul Universe.
Xiang Qian discovered that the cloaked ship from the Persian Gulf carried Sersi and a group of Eternals, who said they had come to watch over an infant Celestial. After tensions flared, Xiang Qian took control of the ship and sent it away from the coalition, while weapons platforms locked on to it.
After the Emergence crisis, Xiang Qian brought Wanda to meet his sister Xiang Tian, who scolded him while welcoming Wanda into the family. Wanda discovered she was pregnant, and Magik immediately began plotting to use the Time Dilation Zone to give the child younger siblings.
Xiang Qian viewed the memories Eternity had left him, witnessing the final moments of the Soul Universe’s previous era through the eyes of a young man who looked exactly like him. The young man’s Subspace experiment succeeded, but the collapsing universe engulfed him and his shelter before a blue light carried him, infant-like and without memories, away with the Singularity.
