Xiang Qian matured the Soul Universe and learned that his timeline was unusual, while Death’s influence spread through Hell and empowered Hela. He helped Odin and Thor return to Asgard, where he discovered that Thanos had taken the Tesseract and could now invade Earth.

• Xiang Qian warned Wong and Strange that Death and Eternity both sought the Soul Universe, and Wong urged preparations to defend Earth.
• Wanda discovered that Magneto was her father, and Xiang Qian brought the DNA reports to the X-Men before joining them to find Juggernaut.
• Xiang Qian confronted Cable, studied his time-travel device with Tony Stark, and explained that time travel created branching timelines rather than changing their own past.
• Xiang Qian explored the Time Stone, reversed the Soul Universe’s expansion, and compressed it into a singularity before the Big Bang began.
• Eternity explained Xiang Qian’s unusual timeline and warned that Death’s next agents would be beyond its power to stop.
• Xiang Qian and Wanda learned that Death’s presence had vanished from many Hell Lords’ territories, then Xiang Qian rushed to help Odin as Hela escaped Niflheim.

Xiang Qian fought Thanos and Hela over the Infinity Stones, then pursued the Quantum Realm with Dr. Pym and his allies. There he found the Ancient One’s message and learned how Eternity had placed the Soul Universe inside his soul.

• Xiang Qian killed Fenrir, defeated Hela’s undead army, and confronted Thanos, who arrived with the Space Stone and the likely Power Stone.
• Xiang Qian fought Thanos with the Infinity Stones, bargained with Death for the Space Stone, and left Hela weakened while Odin prepared for Ragnarok.
• Xiang Qian recruited Dr. Pym by promising help with the Quantum Realm, then brought him together with Tony and Hope and captured Ava Starr.
• Xiang Qian agreed to treat Ava in exchange for Bill Foster’s help, and Janet Dane briefly took control of Dr. Pym to deliver her location before Xiang Qian joined Pym’s journey into the Quantum Realm.
• Xiang Qian discovered that the Infinity Stones no longer gave him energy in the Quantum Realm and traced a Rune signal he believed had been left by the Ancient One.
• Xiang Qian restrained Janet and Dr. Pym when they tried to make him leave, then faced Kang the Conqueror and questioned him about the Ancient One’s magical mark.
• Xiang Qian reunited with the Ancient One’s incomplete spirit, who explained that Eternity had brought the Soul Universe into their universe and fused it with Xiang Qian’s soul.
• Xiang Qian concluded that Eternity might fear death and that his soul was the final obstacle to Eternity taking the Soul Universe.
