Chapters 176–200 Vol. 2 Read

Ch. 176Level 9 King Bloodline

Zhao Fu and the Goblins built a concealed spear pit and used it to kill more than thirty Minotaurs, collecting their Ancient Power. Once the Minotaur chief noticed the hunt, Zhao Fu stopped and decided to make one final attempt to eliminate the remaining Minotaurs all at once.

  • Zhao Fu and the Goblins dug a deep pit, planted silver-grade spears at the bottom, and camouflaged its opening.
  • Zhao Fu used a Goblin squad leader to lure a sleeping Minotaur into charging, and the Minotaur fell into the trap and was killed.
  • Zhao Fu and the Goblins repeated the trap hunt over several days, killing more than thirty Minotaurs and gathering their Ancient Power.
  • Zhao Fu gave one Ancient Power to the Goblin that had repeatedly served as bait, transforming it into a taller, more muscular fighter.
  • After the Minotaur chief noticed the killings, Zhao Fu stopped hunting and decided to attack the remaining Minotaurs, including the chief, all at once.

Ch. 177The Dark Age

Zhao Fu began digging tunnels with 32 Goblins while Shi Jian recovered in Heavenly Stone City and warned Shi Wen that a coming Dark Age would be brutally dangerous. Shi Wen killed the Qian Family and its captives, while Shi Jian grew concerned that Zhao Fu would return to destroy the city.

  • Zhao Fu led 32 Goblins in digging tunnels day and night.
  • Shi Jian woke from his injuries, heard what had happened, and summoned Shi Wen.
  • Shi Jian warned Shi Wen that the future would bring a Dark Age of slaughter and told him to handle the Qian Family.
  • Shi Wen killed the imprisoned Qian Family women, then led soldiers to the Qian estate and ordered the family slaughtered.
  • Shi Wen sexually assaulted the Qian Family Head's wife and left her dead as the Qian Family was wiped out.
  • Shi Jian feared Zhao Fu would return and destroy Heavenly Stone City, and said they had to act.

Ch. 178Luring Them to Their Deaths

Zhao Fu built a massive pit trap and lured the Minotaurs toward it, using his attacks and the flower fairies’ vines to keep the Minotaur leader at a distance. The Minotaurs charged onto the camouflaged trap area as Zhao Fu waited for the hidden Goblins to activate it.

  • Shi Jian sent Liu Sheng and another man to visit the City Lords of the other three system main cities and ask for help.
  • Zhao Fu and thirty-two Goblins dug a deep, wide pit, planted spears at the bottom, and prepared a concealed mechanism to drop its wooden floor.
  • Zhao Fu shot at the Minotaur leader, which knocked the arrow aside, spotted him, and charged after him with the other Minotaurs.
  • Zhao Fu fled toward the trap, but the Minotaur leader deflected his knives and Hellfire Ball and nearly caught him.
  • Three flower fairies bound the Minotaur leader’s feet with vines, giving Zhao Fu enough time to lead the Minotaurs onto the trap area.

Ch. 179Ring Spirit

Zhao Fu and the Goblins trapped the Minotaur Chieftain and sealed it beneath a pile of boulders, then entered the ruined castle and claimed a legendary ring. When Zhao Fu put it on, the ring spirit Celia Krumin appeared and greeted him as her master.

  • Zhao Fu kept firing arrows to slow the charging Minotaur Chieftain until the Goblins triggered the trap and dropped the Minotaurs into the pit.
  • The Minotaur Chieftain survived the fall, grew more powerful, and forced Zhao Fu and the Goblins to bury it beneath boulders and collapse the pit entrance.
  • Zhao Fu led the Goblins into the ruined castle and took the silver ring, which was named Celia Krumin and granted +10 to all attributes.
  • Zhao Fu put on the ring, causing Celia Krumin to appear as a ring spirit and call him Master.

Ch. 180Attribute Gem

Zhao Fu entered the Gloomwood with the Goblins and discovered that its Black Goblins dropped valuable Attribute Gems, but powerful Cat Demons forced them to retreat. He decided the Gloomwood was too dangerous to explore for now and planned to search the surrounding area before leaving for Great Qin.

  • Zhao Fu used a Gloomwood Token to pass through the stone door, though the relic Goblins needed no tokens to enter.
  • Zhao Fu's group defeated Black Goblin Bludgeoners and collected Attribute Gems that increased Strength, Intelligence, Constitution, or Agility.
  • Cat Demons ambushed the group, and Zhao Fu recognized their Tier 2 strength and ordered a retreat.
  • Zhao Fu and the surviving Goblins escaped the Gloomwood; three Goblins had died, and Zhao Fu treated the wounded.
  • Zhao Fu decided to leave the area and return to Great Qin, but first called the recovered Goblins to explore nearby for a place to build a village.

Ch. 181The Sorrow of the Weak

Zhao Fu led his goblins to conquer a barbarian village, sparing a mother and infant among the surrendered survivors. After occupying the blue-quality village, he redirected his future Battle Merit to Bai Qi, a decision that caused Great Qin to tremble.

  • Zhao Fu and his twenty-nine goblins found a barbarian village and attacked after its people refused to yield.
  • The Tier 1 goblins overwhelmed the villagers, killing most of them and leaving only a few dozen survivors to surrender.
  • Zhao Fu stopped a goblin from killing a woman and her infant, then assured them he would spare them.
  • Zhao Fu occupied and relocated the village, gaining 100 Battle Merit and raising his total to 2,800.
  • Zhao Fu decided to transfer all future Battle Merit to Bai Qi so he could continue Great Qin's plans, causing Great Qin to tremble.

Ch. 182Who Says We Have No Clothes? (Important Notice!)

After learning that Zhao Fu was safe, Great Qin continued its rapid expansion under Bai Qi, while Zhao Fu rebuilt Lonely Mountain Village and resumed his journey toward Nine Suns City. The chapter ended with a strange, beastlike boy attacking Zhao Fu on the road.

  • Great Qin’s leaders learned that Zhao Fu had transferred his war merits to Bai Qi, and they reviewed the rapid growth of Great Qin’s territory, population, army, and merchant association.
  • Bai Qi used costly pills and rewards to strengthen Great Qin’s soldiers and build their military spirit as the state strained under its expanding workload.
  • Zhao Fu rebuilt Lonely Mountain Village in the Lolan Ruins, appointed an elderly Barbarian as its chief, left equipment and Goblins to guard it, and instructed the chief to prepare defenses.
  • Zhao Fu set out for Nine Suns City with the three flower sprites, but lost his way before consulting his map and finding the right direction.
  • A black shadow lunged at Zhao Fu, who struck it twice and discovered it was a hostile, scaled boy with black vertical pupils and sharp teeth.

Ch. 183Wicked Demon Bloodline

Zhao Fu fought the boy who tried to eat him and nearly killed him, but the Slaughter Set chose the boy as its master. Zhao Fu spared him and began healing him, leaving the unconscious boy protected by the set.

  • Zhao Fu overpowered the boy, breaking his arms and legs and nearly crushing his chest as the boy repeatedly attacked him.
  • Zhao Fu prepared to kill the boy, but the Slaughter Set reacted and acknowledged him as its master.
  • Zhao Fu decided to spare the boy and fed him a precious spirit pill to heal his injuries.
  • The Slaughter Set continued healing the unconscious boy, while the three flower fairies complained about his aura.

Ch. 184Emperors Throughout History

Zhao Fu learned that the boy he rescued had SSS aptitude, a Sin Demon bloodline, and a lifespan of five hundred years, then named him Little Slaughter and began teaching him how to live among people. The next day, Zhao Fu set out with Little Slaughter, captured two Graystone Beasts for travel, and was stopped by a band of bandits.

  • After the boy woke, he submitted to Zhao Fu, whose status check revealed his SSS aptitude, Sin Demon bloodline, and five-hundred-year lifespan.
  • Zhao Fu fed the boy roasted rabbits, taught him to sit and eat like a person, and gave him the Slaughter Set.
  • Zhao Fu named the boy Little Slaughter and began teaching him basic human knowledge.
  • The next morning, Little Slaughter washed, dressed in Zhao Fu's clothes, and followed him as he learned to walk.
  • Zhao Fu captured two Graystone Beasts, rode one, and stored the other in his spirit pet ring.
  • More than a dozen bandits leaped out and blocked Zhao Fu's path as he rode past a small valley.

Ch. 185Historical Figures

Zhao Fu encountered bandits and had Little Slaughter defeat them, then learned their village lacked a Teleportation Array. After receiving news that Great Qin Town had upgraded and a historical figure had begun awakening, Zhao Fu spotted cavalrymen capturing a family from Willow Mountain Town, which the bandit said might have the Teleportation Array he sought.

  • Zhao Fu let Little Slaughter kill the attacking bandits while keeping their leader alive.
  • Zhao Fu tied up the surviving bandit and made him lead the way, learning that his village had over four hundred men but no Teleportation Array or scholars to build one.
  • Zhao Fu received notifications that Great Qin Town had become an Intermediate Town and a historical figure in Great Qin's inheritance had begun to awaken.
  • Cavalrymen caught a carriage and seized Miss Liu, an elderly woman, and a young boy after Willow Mountain Town had surrendered to its new town lord.
  • Zhao Fu asked about Willow Mountain Town, and the bandit said it was the strongest force nearby and likely had a Teleportation Array.

Ch. 186Evil Power

Zhao Fu killed the soldiers who had captured Liu Subai and learned that she would help him take Willow Mountain Town if he defeated Zhang Hong. After hearing her account of the town’s divided loyalties and defenses, Zhao Fu began planning to seize it.

  • The cavalry captain threatened Zhao Fu, then sent five cavalrymen to attack him; Zhao Fu killed them with an evil power that dried out the men and their horses.
  • Liu Subai offered Willow Mountain Town to Zhao Fu if he saved her and defeated Zhang Hong, and Zhao Fu agreed to hear her out.
  • Zhao Fu led Liu Subai, her younger brother, and her grandmother away to rest beneath a tree, then ordered Liu Subai to explain everything.
  • Liu Subai told Zhao Fu that Zhang Hong had seized the mayor’s position after her father, Liu Ming, died, and that Zhang wanted to marry her to legitimize his rule.
  • Liu Subai described Willow Mountain Town’s population and forces, along with Zhang Hong’s Tier 2 strength and gold-quality sword; Zhao Fu decided she could help him capture the town.

Ch. 187You Must Die Today

Zhao Fu made Liu Subai sign a Life and Death Contract, then led her and his captives to take over Lone Wolf Village. After killing its leader and forcing the bandits to surrender, he brought Liu Subai and her brothers into the village.

  • Zhao Fu gave Liu Subai four Life and Death Contracts, and she agreed to sign one if he spared her three younger brothers.
  • Zhao Fu traveled to Lone Wolf Village with Deng Ke guiding him and Little Slaughter following behind.
  • The bandit leader ordered his archers to attack Zhao Fu, but Zhao Fu deflected their arrows with a Black Dragon-Pattern Shield.
  • Little Slaughter killed more than twenty bandits, and Zhao Fu killed the village leader with a sword strike.
  • The remaining bandits surrendered, and Zhao Fu took over Lone Wolf Village and brought Liu Subai and her brothers inside.

Ch. 188Who Is This Person?

After training the bandits, Zhao Fu led them to ambush soldiers loyal to the Liu Family outside Willow Mountain Town, hoping to gain allies for his plan to take the town. Liu Subai persuaded the soldiers to join Zhao Fu after telling them that Zhang Hong had imprisoned her and may have killed her father.

  • Zhao Fu gave the bandits silver-grade equipment and trained them to coordinate in battle.
  • Zhang Hong learned that the Liu Family members were missing and assumed they had escaped or been killed in the wilderness.
  • Zhao Fu led four hundred bandits and Liu Subai to ambush a patrol of two hundred soldiers loyal to the Liu Family.
  • Liu Subai explained to Sun Xiaowei and the soldiers that Zhang Hong had imprisoned her and that Zhao Fu was helping her reclaim Willow Mountain Town.
  • The soldiers, enraged by Liu Subai's account and Zhang Hong's treatment of them, joined Zhao Fu's ranks.

Ch. 189Night Deepens (First Update)

Zhao Fu and Sun Xiaowei gathered a thousand men and launched a nighttime operation to reclaim Willow Mountain Town from Zhang Hong. After Sun Xiaowei seized the city wall and opened the gates, Zhao Fu’s forces entered the town as Zhang Hong mobilized his soldiers and the rebels spread calls for the residents to join them.

  • Zhao Fu explained his plan, and he and Sun Xiaowei split up to approach the other two patrol squads.
  • Liu Subai persuaded one patrol squad to support her, and Zhao Fu’s bandits killed the men who had defected to Zhang Hong, keeping one survivor alive.
  • Zhao Fu and Sun Xiaowei brought their forces to a thousand and arranged for bandits to enter Willow Mountain Town in batches under cover of night.
  • At midnight, Sun Xiaowei tricked General Li with an offer to surrender, then killed him and helped his men seize the city wall and open the gates.
  • Zhao Fu led his thousand men into town toward the mayor’s residence, while Zhang Hong awoke and gathered his soldiers.
  • Zhao Fu ordered Sun Xiaowei to begin the next phase, and gongs, drums, and shouts urged the residents to help overthrow Zhang Hong.

Ch. 190Vengeful Ghost Seizes Soul (Second Update)

Zhao Fu rallied Willow Mountain Town’s residents and soldiers against Zhang Hong, then defeated him in a duel. With Zhang Hong dead, his forces lost their will to fight, and Zhao Fu’s side won the battle.

  • Zhao Fu accused Zhang Hong of murder and rallied residents to Liu Subai’s cause, drawing a crowd to the town chief’s residence.
  • Residents called on their relatives and friends among Zhang Hong’s soldiers to defect, but Zhang Hong’s Tier 2 aura briefly cowed both sides.
  • Zhao Fu released an aura stronger than Zhang Hong’s and promised to kill him, then the two began fighting as their forces clashed.
  • Zhang Hong used Vengeful Ghost Seizes Spirit, but Zhao Fu’s Heavenly Demon Soul Devour destroyed the vengeful ghost and wounded Zhang Hong.
  • Zhao Fu stabbed and killed Zhang Hong, after which Zhang Hong’s subordinates lost heart and Zhao Fu’s side won.

Ch. 191Already a King (3rd Update)

After defeating Zhang Hong, Zhao Fu made Willow Mountain Town an affiliated town of Great Qin and appointed Liu Subai as mayor and Sun Xiaowei as commander. Once the town had stabilized, Zhao Fu left for Great Qin with Little Slaughter.

  • Liu Subai offered Zhao Fu the mayoral position, but Zhao Fu occupied the manor and made Willow Mountain Town an affiliated town of Great Qin, revealing that he was a King.
  • Zhao Fu appointed Liu Subai as mayor and Sun Xiaowei as commander, then stored Zhang Hong's SS-grade corpse in the King's Ring.
  • Deng Ke took Little Slaughter to bathe and change after Zhao Fu promised him food and new clothes.
  • Sun Xiaowei tallied the battle's losses: more than 3,000 residents and around 1,500 soldiers had died, and the town began recovering.
  • Several days later, Zhao Fu relocated Lone Wolf Village, left Willow Mountain Town, and teleported to Great Qin with Little Slaughter.

Ch. 192The King's Return (4th Update)

Zhao Fu returned to Great Qin and reconsidered its total militarization, choosing to preserve military development while giving his subjects more room for ordinary life. He spared Bai Qi and learned that the newly promoted General Wei Liao had joined Great Qin.

  • Zhao Fu arrived in Great Qin with Little Slaughter, where Bai Qi and the other leaders welcomed him.
  • Bai Qi and Li Si reported Great Qin’s rapid growth and its implementation of an imperial system and total militarization.
  • Zhao Fu decided to retain militarization but end its total application so the people could relax and enjoy happier lives.
  • Zhao Fu reassured the assembled leaders that he would not punish Bai Qi for acting without permission, then issued orders to improve Great Qin’s system.
  • Zhao Fu recognized the newly promoted General Wei Liao and recalled his strategic contributions to Qin’s unification.

Ch. 193Natural Disaster (5th Update)

Zhao Fu inspected Great Qin Town’s upgraded attributes and its crop-growth limits, then traveled with Bai Qi, Wang Jian, and Wei Liao to North Viet to assess the region ahead of a future campaign into the Lesser Viet Kingdom. He saw that faction-point rewards fueled open hostility between the two sides, and the chapter left him observing how casually people accepted violence there.

  • Zhao Fu checked Great Qin Town’s attributes and learned that ordinary crops such as grain could not grow faster than their twelve-day base period, while higher-grade spirit plants could still benefit from growth reductions.
  • Zhao Fu visited Little Black and the other two, then summoned Bai Qi, Wang Jian, and Wei Liao to travel to North Viet.
  • Zhao Fu and the generals inspected Vast Void City and the system cities on both sides of the border, finding that faction points rewarded players for killing Huaxia or Lesser Viet people.
  • Zhao Fu reached the Lesser Viet side by Teleportation Array, where more than a dozen people attacked them and Bai Qi killed them.
  • Zhao Fu saw that passersby ignored the corpses and carried on as if the violence were ordinary.

Ch. 194Death Aura (6th Update)

Zhao Fu planned to expand his commercial and intelligence operations into Little Viet, then coerced Li Qinqian into signing a contract and brought her to his territory. He gave her a City-Building Stone to establish a village of Little Viet people under his control.

  • Zhao Fu studied the border regions and planned to shift trade toward Little Viet while buying property and opening taverns on the Huaxia side.
  • Zhao Fu abandoned the idea of a traditional player faction and decided to build its core from natives, with players in the outer ranks.
  • Zhao Fu seized Li Qinqian in an alley and forced her to sign a contract by threatening to kill her.
  • Zhao Fu asked Li Qinqian her name, apologized for frightening her, and took her through Teleportation Arrays to his territory.
  • Zhao Fu gave Li Qinqian an unused City-Building Stone so she could establish a village of Little Viet people.

Ch. 195Blood God (7th Update)

Zhao Fu gave Li Qinqian a blue City-Building Stone, then focused on planning against Little Viet and discovered that refining corpses produced powerful Blood God Pills. After testing the pills on soldiers, he confirmed they rapidly increased cultivation and began considering how they could strengthen his army.

  • Zhao Fu gave Li Qinqian a blue City-Building Stone and left her to manage the village, surprising her when he made no further demands.
  • Zhao Fu and Bai Qi's group discussed a strategy for Little Viet while Zhao Fu's businesses expanded into North Viet.
  • Zhao Fu refined Gu Feng's and Zhang Hong's corpses, obtaining aptitude orbs and Blood God Pills, then tested Tier 1 pills on soldiers of different cultivation levels.
  • The pills raised the soldiers from Stage 0 to Stage 4, Stage 5 to Stage 8, and Stage 8 to Tier 1, confirming their effectiveness.

Ch. 196King's Attendant Class (8th Update)

Zhao Fu arranged to obtain Tier 1 corpses for Blood God Pills, then used one to break through to Tier 1 and unlock the King's Attendant Class. He began forming a permanent King's Mark for the Qin royal clan, choosing a black design of nine joined dragons around the character “Qin” in Small Seal Script.

  • Zhao Fu considered the scarcity and cost of Tier 1 corpses, then asked Great Han to save the gladiatorial arena's corpses for him.
  • Zhao Fu visited Ge Nie in Fighting City and learned that Ge Nie was nearing Tier 1 and would soon finish his training there.
  • Zhao Fu swallowed the final Tier 1 Blood God Pill and broke through from the ninth stage to Tier 1.
  • Zhao Fu discovered that his King Class had unlocked the King's Attendant Class, allowing him to appoint three King's Attendants.
  • Zhao Fu chose a black King's Mark with nine joined dragons surrounding “Qin” in Small Seal Script and began engraving it into his soul.

Ch. 197Evil-Repelling Objects (9th Update)

Zhao Fu inscribed the King's Mark and made Ge Nie, Tuoba Qing, and Little Slaughter his King's Attendants. He later visited He Xianru, who explained Wu Qingniang's Phoenix Dragon Body and warned that it could overpower a weak dragon aura, leaving Zhao Fu shocked by its connection to the Wu Family.

  • Zhao Fu inscribed the King's Mark and transformed Ge Nie, Tuoba Qing, and Little Slaughter into King's Attendants who could wield kingly power.
  • Zhao Fu recovered, swallowed a Stage 2 Blood Spirit Pill, and reached Stage 1, Level 4.
  • Zhao Fu entered the City of Holy Light and learned that the dangerous seven-day Ghost Festival was about to begin.
  • Zhao Fu asked He Xianru how to remove the green energy in his body, and she said he had to neutralize it gradually or destroy its source.
  • He Xianru explained that Wu Qingniang's Phoenix Dragon Body could either support a strong dragon aura or devour a weak one, and that only the Wu Family possessed it.

Ch. 198Ghost Moon (10th Update)

Zhao Fu prepared Great Qin Town for the Ghost Festival with He Xianru’s ghost-suppressing array and supplies. At midnight, the moon turned gray and ghosts appeared, beginning the festival.

  • He Xianru gave Zhao Fu twelve statues that formed a Yin General Ghost-Suppressing Array and weakened ghosts.
  • Zhao Fu inspected the Ghost Festival’s exchange stele and found forty ghost-related classes available for ranking.
  • Zhao Fu bought Ghost-Slaying, Evil-Dispelling, and Evil-Warding talismans, then returned to Great Qin Town.
  • Zhao Fu set up the array, which reduced ghostly power in his territory by 20%, and prepared his soldiers and supplies for the festival.
  • At midnight, gray mist spread, the moon turned gray, and terrifying ghosts appeared across the world.

Ch. 199Yin Energy Veils the World (11th Update)

During the Ghost Festival, Zhao Fu protected Great Qin Town and sent out soldiers to hunt ghosts while the world was covered in yin energy. He found a vicious ghost with Tuoba Qing and ordered her to fight it, leaving her facing the dangerous foe.

  • Zhao Fu ordered peach-wood arrows soaked in rooster blood to kill several thousand ordinary ghosts attacking Great Qin Town, and his people collected more than four thousand Ghost Crystals.
  • Zhao Fu split his soldiers into teams to explore and recruited residents to guard the town while others stayed indoors behind evil-warding talismans.
  • A burly young man and his companions encountered a red-clothed female ghost, whose attack killed them as they fled.
  • Zhao Fu rode out with Tuoba Qing, more than fifty soldiers, Little Black, and the others to search for stronger ghosts.
  • Zhao Fu's archers killed the ordinary ghosts in a group of more than thirty, but a vicious ghost destroyed their arrows with blood-red light, so Zhao Fu ordered Tuoba Qing to fight it.

Ch. 200Netherworld Ghost Stone (12th Update)

Zhao Fu demonstrated the Assassin inheritance to Tuoba Qing by defeating a Fierce Ghost and teaching her to fight as an assassin. The Fierce Ghost dropped several items, including a City God Stone, which Zhao Fu planned to use to build a City God Temple.

  • Tuoba Qing fought the Fierce Ghost with her blood-red greatsword, but her heavy, forceful attacks failed to match the agility of an assassin.
  • Zhao Fu told Tuoba Qing to step back and demonstrated the Assassin's path by using the Power of Blood and her greatsword.
  • Zhao Fu swiftly slew the Fierce Ghost, and Tuoba Qing said she understood what she needed to do.
  • Zhao Fu collected a Fierce Ghost Crystal, opened a Ghost Monster's Treasure Bag to obtain a Ghost Shadow Dagger, and picked up a City God Stone.
  • Zhao Fu recalled the City God Temple's protective role and planned to build one after returning.
