Xiao Cheng first encounters Yun Ming on the Spirit Ascension Platform, where Yun Ming fights alongside Cao Dezhi and five other Shrek Academy students against the Burning Sun Heavenly Dragon. Xiao Cheng identifies the group as the likely future Shrek Seven Devils, with Yun Ming as the future Heaven-Supporting Douluo. Yun Ming’s Heaven-Supporting Divine Spear restricts the dragon’s flight through its innate Air Prohibition ability, making him one of the group’s central combatants. 37

After Xiao Cheng’s group eliminates the other five Shrek students, Yun Ming and Cao Dezhi attempt to draw the Burning Sun Heavenly Dragon into a three-way battle.
