Background / History

Qiangu Qingfeng is a member of the Qiangu family of the Spirit Pagoda and the elder brother of Qiangu Dongfeng. Unlike Dongfeng, he did not awaken the family’s inherited Coiling Dragon Staff, instead possessing the Purgatory Halberd. Although he received the resources required for normal cultivation, he was excluded from the family’s most important resources, leaving him determined to prove that he was not inferior to his brother. 14

He joined Xiao Cheng, the Leng sisters, Qiangu Dongfeng, Zhang Geyang, and Xia Zhengleng in the Spirit Pagoda’s Seven Luminaries Team, a group assembled to challenge Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect at the All-Federal Youth Soul Master Competition. 13

During the team’s early Spirit Ascension Platform expedition, he fought the Dark Demon Scorpion Tiger with Nether Slash but was severely injured and forced to activate his distress button. 11 The incident established the danger facing the newly formed group before its members had developed effective coordination.

Qiangu Qingfeng’s resentment toward Dongfeng escalated after Qiangu Dieting gave Dongfeng a hundred-thousand-year spirit bone shortly before the Seven Luminaries’ formation. He challenged his younger brother during the first captain-selection battles, seeking recognition through a direct confrontation. 14 15 Despite showing a breakthrough-like touch of halberd intent, he lost because Dongfeng’s inherited Coiling Dragon Staff Technique and soul-bone-enhanced strength proved superior. 16

Qiangu Dieting later compensated Qingfeng with a ten-thousand-year spirit bone, allowing him to reach level 30. He subsequently defeated Shrek Academy’s Han Xiao in an individual match. 26

His outward coldness conceals strong pride and resentment over being eclipsed by Qiangu Dongfeng. Rather than openly lashing out, he channels that dissatisfaction into a determination to compete and demonstrate his worth. 14 15

He is also bluntly practical. After seeing Zhang Geyang harass Xia Zhengleng, he intervened and directly proposed mutual support: he would protect her from Zhang’s harassment, while she would support him within the Seven Luminaries. 14 Following his defeat by Leng Yaozhu, he recognized his lack of anti-air options and resolved to improve. 61

He replaced Leng Yaozhu as Dongfeng’s challenger, framing the duel as a test of the power granted by Dongfeng’s hundred-thousand-year soul bone. Qingfeng fought with increasing desperation and briefly displayed the beginnings of intent, but ultimately lost. 15 16

Heavenly Dou Duel

After advancing to level 30, Qingfeng represented the Spirit Pagoda in the second individual match against Shrek Academy. He used Purgatory Wrath and his halberd’s reach to defeat the airborne Winged Tiger soul master Han Xiao. 26

Renewed Captain Contest and Team Training

At level 47, Qingfeng rejoined the Seven Luminaries for a new captain contest. Leng Yaozhu defeated him through aerial pressure and burst damage, forcing him to confront the weaknesses in his combat style. 57 61 Under Xiao Cheng’s subsequent leadership, Qingfeng served as a secondary attacker during the team’s high-pressure training against Zhao Tieshan. 62

Tianluo City Mission

Qingfeng deployed with the Seven Luminaries on their first live-combat mission against a Holy Spirit Cult faction in Tianluo City. He entered the operation visibly excited, gripping his Purgatory Halberd as the team prepared to suppress the evil soul masters. 63
