Lu Chen looked ahead. Between the distant trees, he could just make out a shifting haze of emerald mist.
It wasn't ordinary miasma. It was clearly poisonous, and even the surrounding plants had taken on an eerie emerald hue.
He nodded. "It should be."
The group pressed on.
Before long, the entrance to a valley appeared before them.
Emerald poison gas blanketed the area outside the valley. The closer they got to the entrance, the thicker it became.
The slopes around the valley were covered in clusters of Jade Phosphorus Seven Absolute Flowers. Their leaves and blossoms were vivid, yet carried a dangerous aura.
The poison seemed to emanate both from those plants and from the depths of the valley, forming a natural barrier.
Yue Guan stared at the scene, a flicker of surprise in his eyes.
"They really are Jade Phosphorus Seven Absolute Flowers."
"The poison is strong," Gui Mei murmured.
For Soul Masters below the Titled Douluo level, this poison truly posed a lethal threat.
If anyone below Soul Saint recklessly entered, they would likely be poisoned in no time. Even a Soul Douluo wouldn't dare linger there.
But it posed little threat to Lu Chen and the others.
Bibi Dong raised a hand and released her Soul Power, shielding Lu Chen.
"Stay close to me."
Lu Chen nodded.
Yue Guan and Gui Mei took the lead to scout the way.
As Titled Douluo, their Soul Power was more than enough to resist the poison.
Yue Guan also knew a fair amount about poisonous plants, so he avoided places that looked particularly dangerous as they advanced.
Gui Mei kept watch for ambushes and Soul Beasts.
Bibi Dong led Lu Chen behind them.
The emerald poison mist surged toward them, but was kept out by Bibi Dong's Soul Power barrier.
Looking at the surrounding poisonous fog, Lu Chen was almost certain that this was the Poison Array Dugu Bo had set up.
But they had already crossed the outer perimeter. Dugu Bo couldn't possibly have failed to notice.
Still, with Bibi Dong and the Chrysanthemum and Ghost Douluo here, Lu Chen wasn't worried.
Soon, the four passed through the Poison Array.
The view ahead suddenly opened up.
A red-and-blue basin came into view.
At its center lay an extraordinary lake.
The lake was divided into two distinct halves. One was ice blue, radiating bone-chilling cold; the other was fiery red, radiating scorching heat.
Two utterly opposite forces converged in the same place, yet maintained a strange balance. Neither devoured the other, and neither erupted.
Mist rose where the ice blue met the fiery red.
Even from a distance, it was clear that this place was extraordinary.
A great many exotic flowers and plants grew around the lake.
They came in all shapes and sizes. Some were brightly colored, some had their auras tucked away, and some looked utterly ordinary. Yet they all grew unharmed in an environment where bitter cold and scorching heat intertwined.
Bibi Dong's eyes held a hint of surprise as well.
Though Gui Mei knew nothing about medicinal herbs, he could still feel how unusual the energy here was.
Looking at the red-and-blue lake before him, Lu Chen finally relaxed completely.
The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. They had found it.
At the same time, inside a cave dwelling in the valley, an old man with emerald-green hair suddenly opened his eyes.

"Let's hurry down. I have a feeling we're going to make an enormous haul this time."
Seeing Yue Guan like this, Bibi Dong realized that this place might be even more important than she had imagined.
Yue Guan sometimes let his emotions show, but it was rare to see him this excited.
"Let's go down and take a look," Bibi Dong said.
They were in a basin, and there was still some distance down to the lake below.
For Bibi Dong and the others, that was no problem.
All three were Titled Douluo, so they could simply fly down.
Bibi Dong stirred her Soul Power and lifted off.
Yue Guan and Gui Mei flew down into the basin after her.
Lu Chen looked below, then released his Martial Soul.
