Background / History

Lu Chen was an ordinary person in another world before reincarnating as an infant on the Douluo Continent. Abandoned outside Spirit City, he was found by Chrysanthemum Douluo Yue Guan and Ghost Douluo Gui Mei, then placed in an orphanage. He remembers their role in saving his life and does not take his safety or upbringing for granted. 1

Aware that spirit awakening at age six would determine his future, Lu Chen began a severe daily regimen at age three: 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10 km run. He maintained it without rest days for three years, hoping to improve his innate soul power and physical foundation. 1

At his awakening, Lu Chen gains the god-tier martial soul Rugesite/Leugocyte and innate level 20 soul power. His potential attracts Bibi Dong, who accepts him as her disciple and brings him into the Saintess Hall. After securing two exceptional soul rings in the Star Dou Forest, Lu Chen guides Bibi Dong's group toward the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well under the explanation that his martial soul senses a resonance there.
