Too Much Energy

At first, the two currents of energy remained separate. But as the light steadily intensified, they began extending toward the center of the space.

The powers of fire and ice briefly collided there.

The crimson and icy-blue energies merely influenced and restrained one another.

The flames could not Devour the ice, nor could the cold completely suppress the fire.

Under Leugocyte's control, the two utterly opposing powers gradually achieved balance, using the two dragon corpses as a foundation to form a new cycle.

Fire-attribute energy flowed out from the fire dragon's corpse, was affected by the ice-attribute energy as it passed through the center of the space, and then returned to the vicinity of the fire dragon's corpse.

The ice-attribute energy circulated in the same manner.

One crimson and one blue stream of light slowly revolved, eventually forming an inexhaustible force.

They no longer relied solely on the residual energy within the dragon corpses. Instead, they continuously formed new cycles through their opposition and mutual influence.

This power once more became the energy source of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.

Watching everything unfold, Lu Chen finally relaxed.

He had merely wanted to avoid destroying this place, yet he had not expected Leugocyte to directly use the power it had just Devoured to establish new energy cycles for the two dragon corpses.

This meant that he had taken two god-level soul bones and two Dragon King divine consciousnesses without completely severing the foundation of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.

After completing all this, Leugocyte slowly drew in its wings.

The crimson and icy-blue glow around its body gradually faded, while its enormous beastly form began to turn illusory.

Lu Chen immediately sensed that the consciousness indirectly controlling his body was receding.

Leugocyte did not remain in the outside world.

Multicolored light rose from all over its body. Its enormous form rapidly shrank within the glow before finally transforming into a streak of light and returning to Lu Chen's sea of consciousness.

The Martial Soul Avatar-like state was released along with it.

Lu Chen's consciousness returned to his body, and his limbs and Soul Power once again came fully under his control.

That strange sensation of standing inside his own body and watching the battle swiftly vanished. He became the master of his body once more.

But before Lu Chen could adapt to the change, an indescribably immense force suddenly surged from the depths of his martial soul.

Scorching, flame-like energy and icy, frigid power entered his body at the same time.

Mixed in with those two energies were an immense amount of spiritual power, as well as the residual life force within the two Dragon Kings' corpses.

With almost no buffer at all, all that power flowed directly through the connection between his martial soul and body, flooding into his meridians, bones, flesh, and sea of consciousness.

Lu Chen's expression changed instantly.

"Not good!"

He had not expected that after completing its Devour, Leugocyte would directly feed such an enormous amount of residual power back to him.

That power might have been nothing to Leugocyte, but Lu Chen's body was, after all, only six years old.

Even though his physical constitution far surpassed that of ordinary soul masters, there was no way he could withstand the impact of the two Dragon Kings' residual power without pressure.

An intense swelling pain instantly erupted in his meridians.

The left side of his body felt as though it were being scorched by flames, while the right side felt as though it were frozen by ice.

The two powers erupted simultaneously, making it difficult for Lu Chen even to remain standing.

He immediately sat down cross-legged and began circulating his Soul Power to absorb them.

There was no time to hesitate.

If he allowed those powers to rampage through his body, not only would he gain no benefits, but his body might be destroyed by the ice and fire energies first.

Lu Chen forcibly steadied his mind and guided the energy flooding into his body throughout his entire body bit by bit.

But once he truly began absorbing it, he discovered that things were even more difficult than he had imagined.

There was simply too much energy.

The moment Lu Chen managed to control one stream of fire-attribute energy, another wave of icy power rushed into his meridians.

By the time he turned to suppress the cold, scorching energy would erupt from the other side again.

The pressure within his sea of consciousness was also steadily increasing.

After being Devoured, the residual divine consciousnesses of the two Dragon Kings were transforming into streams of pure spiritual power.

That spiritual power continuously entered Lu Chen's consciousness, driving his spiritual power to grow at a rapid rate.

But growing too quickly also placed an enormous burden on him.

Lu Chen could only do his best to maintain the balance between ice and fire while guiding the spiritual power to disperse, preventing it from concentrating and impacting his sea of consciousness.

Just as he was gradually reaching the limits of what he could endure, Leugocyte within his sea of consciousness finally noticed the problem.

It clearly had not expected that Lu Chen's current physical strength would be insufficient to fully absorb this processed energy.

Leugocyte's consciousness gently stirred.

The next moment, a gentle yet powerful guiding force emerged from the martial soul.

The ice and fire energies that had been rampaging through Lu Chen's body were immediately brought under control.

The crimson power no longer surged recklessly into his meridians, instead entering his flesh and bones along a fixed path.

The icy-blue energy was also restrained, beginning to temper his body in alternation with the fire-attribute power.

Lu Chen immediately seized the opportunity and circulated his Soul Power according to the guidance Leugocyte had provided.

The powers of the two Dragon Kings gradually went from being out of control to becoming orderly.

The fire-attribute power strengthened his flesh, while the ice-attribute energy stabilized his meridians. As they balanced one another, both continuously merged into Lu Chen's body.

With every completed cycle, his body grew a little stronger.

At the same time, the changes within his sea of consciousness became increasingly apparent.

The lingering divine consciousness of the Fire Dragon King and the Ice Dragon King had already been completely devoured by Leugocyte, and their consciousness had long since dissipated.

What remained transformed into streams of pure spiritual power that continuously entered Lu Chen's sea of consciousness.

This spiritual power was not entirely blank.

It still contained fragments of the two Dragon Kings' lingering memories.

Some memories dissipated the moment they entered the sea of consciousness, leaving behind only the purest spiritual energy.

Others temporarily settled there, becoming part of Lu Chen's consciousness.

As the absorption continued, his spiritual power rapidly increased.

The pressure caused by the clash of ice and fire within him also gradually weakened under Leugocyte's guidance.

In contrast, the two god-level soul bones did not directly merge with Lu Chen's body.

After being devoured, the Fire Dragon King's soul bone and the Ice Dragon King's soul bone respectively merged into Leugocyte's two wings.

Within its left wing, crimson patterns flickered in and out of sight.

Within its right wing, icy-blue radiance flowed slowly.

However, the soul bones not merging with his body did not mean Lu Chen gained no benefits.

When Leugocyte devoured the soul bones, a portion of their residual power was still separated out.

Now, this power entered Lu Chen's body together with the ice and fire energies, further strengthening his bones, meridians, and flesh.

His physical qualities once again began to improve dramatically.

The body of a six-year-old child had originally been utterly incapable of matching energy of this level.

Thus, as the power continuously merged into him, Lu Chen's body underwent extremely obvious changes.
