Background

Hanazuki entered the Third Shinobi World War shortly after graduating from the Ninja Academy. At the time, he had already become the Black Nine-Tails' jinchūriki and possessed a Mangekyō Sharingan, though he carefully concealed both powers from Konoha's leadership.
