Background / History
In Baishi’s first Life Script Simulator scenario, Kushina is abducted and injured by Cloud Hidden ninja. Baishi intercepts Namikaze Minato’s intended rescue, defeats the kidnappers, praises her red hair, and stages a sacrificial collapse in her arms. The encounter creates an emotional bond that later feeds back into Kushina’s real memories. 1 2
In reality, Kushina’s remembered rescue by Minato conflicts with the simulator memory of Baishi. Her insistence that the ANBU codenamed “Owl” saved her causes severe emotional instability and repeated Nine-Tails chakra outbursts. Although Baishi denies her claims, she recognizes the scar on his flank as proof of the rescue she remembers. 3 4
Kushina repeatedly defies Minato, Sarutobi Hiruzen, and Danzō to protect Baishi from interrogation, surveillance, and assassination attempts. Her attachment becomes possessive and increasingly dependent on the belief that Baishi has repeatedly sacrificed himself for her. 6 26 27 31
After receiving the full memory of Baishi’s simulated death during the Nine-Tails attack, Kushina rampages through Konoha in grief. She immediately calms when Baishi reappears, clinging to him after believing him dead. 46 48 50
As Baishi consolidates power within Konoha, Kushina remains at his side as a fiercely loyal protector. She is repeatedly manipulated through her fear of losing him, but continues to offer her chakra, forbidden Uzumaki techniques, and personal protection for his sake. 101 158 263 311
Following Minato’s disappearance and Baishi’s seizure of Konoha’s leadership, Kushina openly rejects Minato and the former Hokage faction. She accompanies Baishi during his political takeover, pleased that his new authority prevents others from separating them. 141 143
During Orochimaru’s assault on the Hyūga Clan, Kushina attempts to intervene against the slaughter but is restrained and persuaded to remain in the Hokage’s office. Believing that Baishi requires her support, she repeatedly gives him Nine-Tails chakra, unaware that he is secretly siphoning and stockpiling it. 409 410 417 438
After Baishi secures the Daimyo Residence’s submission, Kushina again provides chakra when he feigns exhaustion from resolving the Kyoto crisis. Though visibly weakened by the transfer, she remains peaceful and trusting while Baishi covertly stores the chakra for his larger plans. 438 439
Appearance
Kushina is a red-haired Uzumaki woman whose normal violet eyes change into bestial, slit-pupiled eyes when the Nine-Tails’ chakra overwhelms her. 2 27
- Long, vivid red hair, often described as moving like flames or snakes when her chakra erupts. 2 27 90
- Violet eyes in her normal state. 263
- Beastlike vertical pupils and fox-like markings around her eyes during Nine-Tails manifestations. 27
- Dark-red or golden-red chakra cloak capable of scorching stone, wood, and nearby air. 82 113 322
- Her chakra cloak can manifest multiple tails, ranging from two visible tails during the Hyūga crisis to nine chakra tails during extreme rage. 333 409
Personality
Kushina is intensely emotional, direct, and protective. She refuses to abandon Baishi even when doing so puts her at odds with Konoha’s leadership or Minato, and she will employ overwhelming force against anyone she believes threatens him. 6 31 90
Her attachment to Baishi is rooted in the conflicting memories of his rescue and sacrifice. This makes her exceptionally vulnerable to guilt, fear of abandonment, and jealousy; the scent or presence of other women around him can trigger destructive outbursts of Nine-Tails chakra. 44 82 218 322 376
Despite her volatility, Kushina can be gentle and attentive toward Baishi when he appears injured, personally tending to him and insisting on his survival. 28 57
Kushina also retains a strong sense of responsibility toward Konoha and its shinobi. Baishi exploits this trait by framing obedience and chakra donation as necessary to protect the village, causing her to blame herself for becoming a burden to him. 409 410 417
Her loyalty ultimately overrides Kurama’s warnings and her own physical exhaustion. Even after major chakra transfers leave her pale, Kushina remains convinced that supporting Baishi is both necessary and meaningful. 377 438 439
